NATALIA’S POV

Leaving Beth behind was not the plan but even I wouldn't have abandoned my mate when I just found him. I could feel her eyes on me as I slipped through the crowd heading for the main entrance leading outside the palace. The whole place was covered with werewolves, some of them wolves from some humans. I even picked the smell of rogues here and there but I did not linger for a long time to find out if at all they were there and not just a product of my own imagination.

Not once did I turn back, until I had successfully left the premises and was right in front of the main entrance. I peeked around to make sure no suspicious eyes were on me. Guards were scattered around the entire ground both in and out of the palace but they were more focused on the new topic of discussion rather than monitoring who came in and stepped out of the palace ground.
