Rose's POV
My heart was pounding in my chest as the car screeched around the corner, narrowly missing a parked car. The black car was still following us, and I could see the driver's face in the rearview mirror, his eyes fixed on us."We need to get out of here," I said, my voice trembling. "Can't you go any faster?"The driver looked back at me, his face tense. "I'm doing my best," he said. "But they're not giving up."We sped down the side street, the sound of the black car's engine roaring behind us. I could see the driver's face in the mirror, his eyes flicking between the road and the car chasing us.And then, out of nowhere, there was a loud bang, and the car swerved to the side. I screamed, thinking we had been hit, but then the driver straightened out the car, and we continued on."What was that?" I asked, my voice shaking. The driver looked back at me, his face grim. "They shot at us," he said. "We need to get out of here now."We took another turn, and I could feel the car skidding on the wet road. I held on tight to the seat, feeling like I was going to be sick. The black car was still following us, its headlights glaring in the darkness. And then, suddenly, the driver slammed on the brakes, and the car screeched to a halt. I looked around, confused, and then realized that we were in an alleyway, with no way out."We're trapped," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. The driver turned to me, his face pale. "I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't know where else to go."I felt tears welling up in my eyes. Was this the end for me? Was I going to die here, in this alleyway, with no one to help me?But then, to my surprise, the driver jumped out of the car and ran to a nearby building. I watched him as he disappeared inside, wondering what he was doing. A man from inside one of the houses came down and opened his gate for us to hide. When the black car passed the gate, we immediately thanked the man and sped out, loosing the black car for a while but eventually they still caught up to us.As we drove, I could hear the sound of the black car's engine behind us. It was like a beast, chasing us through the streets. I could see the headlights in the mirror, getting closer and closer."We need to lose them," I said, my heart racing. The driver nodded, his eyes fixed on the road. He swerved around a corner, narrowly missing a pedestrian, and then took a sharp turn down another street. The black car followed, its engine roaring."We're not going to make it," I said, my voice shaking. But then, just as I thought we were done for, the driver took another turn, and we found ourselves on a long, straight road. The black car was still behind us, but it was getting further and further away."We did it," I said, relief flooding through me.The driver nodded, his face grim. "We're not safe yet," he said. "We need to keep moving."And so we did, driving through the city, the black car nowhere to be seen. I was still shaking, my heart racing, but I felt a sense of relief knowing that we had escaped. For now, at least. The black car followed, but we had gained some distance. The driver continued to weave through the streets, trying to lose our pursuers. After what felt like an eternity, the black car disappeared from our view. The driver let out a sigh of relief and pulled over to the side of the road. "Are you alright?" he asked, turning to me.I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. "I think so. Thank you for getting us out of there and keeping us safe. I'd double your pay." I said with a smile and he felt contented. The driver nodded and checked his phone. "We're not far from the pack community now. Do you want me to take you there?"I nodded, grateful for his help. As we drove towards the community, I couldn't help but wonder who was following us and why. My already scattered life had just become even more complicated.I let out a deep breath, relieved that we had managed to lose the black car. I turned to the driver, who was still catching his breath."Thank you," I said, my voice shaking. "You saved my life."The driver looked at me, his face serious. "It's my job," he said. "I'm just glad you're safe."I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. "Is there anything I can do to repay you?" I asked. The driver hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Well, I don't usually do this, but ... could you pay me a little extra?" he asked. "I went out of my way to help you, and I could really use the money."I nodded, understanding. "Of course," I said, reaching into my pocket. I pulled out a wad of cash and handed it to him. "Thank you again."The driver counted the money and then looked back at me. "You're very generous," he said. "Thank you."I watched as he drove away, feeling a sense of gratitude and relief wash over me. I had made it out alive, thanks to him. But now, I had to face the reality of what had happened. I was being chased by unknown men, and I had no idea why. I needed to find out, and fast.To avoid getting recognized by people, I draped a shawl over my head. I entered the pack house through the back entrance and quietly walked toward my room.As I successfully entered, I closed the door and fell, my back against the door with my knees pulled towards my chest.Tears were streaming down my face and I didn't know what to do. I continued sobbing as I couldn't help the mess I put myself into.Being rejected wasn't enough, I gave my virginity to someone else and now, I am being tailed by my unknown men. Tears spilled on my cheeks like a flowing river until I heard my mother's voice calling out to me from the hallway."Rose? Are you back?" She called out and I cursed."Shit!" Although I wasn't dressed in Mia's ceremony attire, I was not looking presentable.I panicked and cleaned my tears, fear building up inside me. I grabbed my things and dashed towards the bathroom, hoping to be in the shower before she entered but as I opened the door, my bedroom door opened wide."Rose?” she called out and I froze in shock.Rose's Pov The tears kept rolling down my cheeks as I pushed open the bathroom door and rushed inside. I couldn't bear to face anyone, not even my Mom or Dad. The humiliation and shame were just too much to handle.I heard my mom's voice calling out to me from the hallway, but I couldn't bring myself to respond. Instead, I ran straight into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind me. I leaned my back against the door, my chest heaving with sobs. How could I have been so stupid? Sleeping with a stranger was a mistake, but now being tailed by unknown men was a nightmare. I couldn't imagine what they wanted from me, but I knew it couldn't be good.As I looked at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, I couldn't believe what I saw. My hair was a tangled mess, my mascara was smudged and my dress was wrinkled and stained. I looked like a complete mess.My eyes were bloodshot, and my cheeks were flushed with alcohol. My body was swaying slightly, a sure sign of my drunkenness. I felt asha
Rose's POV I could feel my face turning red as I reached up to touch my neck, my fingers brushing against the tender spot where I had felt the mark earlier. But as I looked closer in the mirror, I realized with a sinking feeling that it wasn't a mate mark at all."Mom, it's not what you think," I said, my voice trembling slightly. "No, Mom. It's just a hickey..." I answered, trying to hide the embarrassment in my voice. I knew that she wouldn't approve of it, but I couldn't say the full truth to her."A hickey?" She repeated, her eyes narrowing. "Did the man give you a hickey, Rose?" She asked and I nodded before going to join her on the bed."Mom, please don't be mad," I pleaded, feeling a sense of shame wash over me. I knew she would disapprove, but I never thought she would react this way."I'm not mad, Rose. I'm just...surprised," she said softly, her eyes never leaving the mark. "I just wish you would have told me what you were going through, that's all.""I'm sorry, Mom. I didn
Rose's POVAs I walked home, my mind was preoccupied with my upcoming birthday. In just a few days, I would be turning eighteen, a significant milestone in my life as the Alpha's daughter. It was a day that I had been looking forward to for years, and I couldn't wait to celebrate with my family and friends. But as excited as I was, there was also a part of me that was nervous. Being the Alpha's daughter came with its fair share of responsibilities and expectations, and I knew that my upcoming birthday was no exception. There would be a lavish party, gifts, well-wishes from everyone in the pack, and a mating ceremony. But as the Alpha's daughter, I also had to ensure that everything was perfect, that the pack was happy and satisfied, and that the celebrations went off without a hitch.Sienna noticed my discomfort and held my hand, "Rose, are you okay? What are you thinking of?" she asked and I let out a sigh. "Everything, sister. From his mating ceremony to my little rendezvous, and n
Rose's POVAs soon as those words left his lips, the lights were turned on and I came face to face with my mate. Last time in this hall, I stumbled back because my boyfriend got mated to another lady but today I stumbled back because I saw the guy I bluntly turned down in the club in what seemed to be a polite but rude manner. "Bloody hell! What the fuck?” I cursed inside me and Eve opened her mouth in awe. It was a shock to us both.My mate, Luke, stood there with a casual expression on his face. He was not as surprised as I was. For a moment, we both stood there in silence, staring at each other.I couldn't believe it. Out of all the people in the world, my mate was the guy I had rejected in the club. How could fate be so cruel? I felt like running away and hiding somewhere, but I knew that was not an option. I had to face the reality and deal with it. But wait, could he have known about the mate bond in the club too?I stood there staring at him until I felt a push from the back a
Rose's PovMy heart raced with fear as the figure dragged me further into the darkness. I kicked and thrashed, hoping to loosen their grip, but they were too strong.Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching, and I felt a glimmer of hope. Someone must have realized I was missing and come to look for me. I redoubled my efforts to break free, hoping to make enough noise to alert him or her to my location. The figure seemed to sense the danger too. They tightened their grip on me, trying to stifle my cries for help. But it was too late. My father, the Alpha, had spotted us, and he was running toward us at full speed. The figure hesitated for a moment, then released me and bolted away into the night. I stumbled, catching myself on a nearby tree, gasping for air. My father caught up to me, panting heavily."Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.I nodded, unable to speak. I was still in shock, my heart pounding in my chest. My father took my hand and led me back towards the part
Rose's POV We were all in shock by Luke's demands. My father cleared his throat and spoke up. "Luke, I understand your concern, but a fast wedding is not something we can agree to without careful consideration. A wedding is a significant event in our pack, and we cannot simply rush into it without proper planning and preparation."My mother nodded in agreement. "Besides, we haven't even discussed the logistics of it all. We need to ensure that we have enough food, flowers, and decorations for the ceremony."Alpha Luke looked slightly taken aback by my parents' objections. "I understand your concerns, but we don't have much time. The safety of our pack is at stake, and I don't want to wait any longer than necessary to make you my mate." He said, staring at me.I could sense the tension rising in the room, and I knew that I had to speak up. "Alpha Luke, I appreciate your concern for our pack, but I also understand my parents' reservations. A wedding is a significant event, and it deserv
Rose's PovI made my way back to my room, feeling more confused than ever. I flopped down onto my bed and stared at the ceiling for a while before turning to look at the mirror across the room.I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and let out a sigh. I couldn't help but think back to my encounter with Luke earlier. Why did I call him Hottie? "Arghhhhh," I groaned in embarrassment. I felt embarrassed, even though there was no one around to hear or see me.As I stared at my reflection, I started to question myself. Was I really ready to get married? Was I making a mistake by rushing into this? I had always dreamed of getting married, but now that it was actually happening, I was having doubts.I couldn't help but feel like I didn't really know Luke that well. Sure, we had been seeing each other for a few days now, but we had never really talked about anything serious. I didn't even know what his favorite color was.I let out a frustrated sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. I
Rose's Pov As I got closer, I realized that it was Hottie after all but he was drunk and couldn't fully recognize me but he stared. I couldn't stop my legs from walking toward him and when I was a few feet away, someone tapped my shoulder and I turned back to look at her.It was Sienna, my cousin, and best friend. She smiled at me as I approached, and I let out a sigh of relief."Hey, Rose. I was just on my way to meet you at your place to check if you were asleep before going home," Sienna said, gesturing to the empty stool next to her. "What are you doing here?"I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should tell her about my conflicting feelings for Alpha Luke and Hottie. But something in her expression made me not mention the situation, and I finally spoke up, saying something else. "I needed some time to think, and I guess I ended up here subconsciously," I admitted, not saying the full truth.Sienna nodded sympathetically, her eyes full of understanding. "It's okay. I'm here for
Rose's POV"Mother? Is that really you?" I cried, unable to believe my eyes.My heart raced as my eyes locked onto the familiar face of the woman who had given me life. It had been years since we were separated, and I had often wondered if I would ever see her again. But here she was, standing before me, tears of joy in her eyes as well.I extended my trembling arms toward her, and without hesitation, she rushed to my side. Our embrace was tight, filled with a depth of emotion that words could never express. Tears streamed down both our faces as we held each other, mother and daughter, reunited at last."Rose, my dear, my sweet girl," my mother whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "I've missed you so much. I never stopped thinking about you ever since..."I couldn't find my voice as I clung to her, burying my face in her shoulder, inhaling her familiar motherly scent. It was a scent that I longed for, a scent that had been absent from my life for far too long."You're here," I fin
Adriel's POV"I'll call you back, Uncle," I said and stepped out of the hospital room, my heart heavy still with worry for Rose but I needed to find the lady who was calling my name.As I followed the sound of the enraged voice, I soon found myself in the hospital's bustling lobby. There, in the midst of the chaos, was Emily, Luke's mother, shouting and demanding to see me."Where's that bastard Alpha? Where is he? Adriel? Do you think you can murder my family and go scot-free? Show your face!" she raged, her eyes wild with grief and anger.I approached her cautiously, aware of the emotions that must be coursing through her. "Emily," I said gently, "I'm here."She turned to me with a look of pure hatred in her eyes. "You killed my son and his wife, Adriel. You're going to pay for what you've done."I swallowed hard, looking for the right words to console the woman. "I didn't kill them, Emily. I swear. The last time I saw Luke, he was injured, but dead. And Sienna, she..."She grabbed
Adriel's POVAs I held Sienna's lifeless body, the weight of sorrow pressed down on me like a leaden sky. Although she wasn't a good person, she could have lived a better life. With trembling hands, I dialed the number of my uncle."Adriel, what's happened?" came the urgent voice on the other end."Luke and Sienna are gone," I choked out. "I need you to prepare for their arrival and burial."There was a brief pause on the line, followed by a solemn, "Of course, we'll be ready."I hung up, realizing that I needed to act swiftly. With one last, lingering look, I whispered, "Rest in peace, Sienna." I said, asking one of the guards to take her away to the hospital, then together with Luke's body, they will take them to the Denver Pack.As I turned away, my phone rang, its harsh sound cutting through the stillness of the morning. I quickly answered, my heart pounding in my chest."Alpha Adriel," a familiar voice crackled through the line, "we found the twins."Relief washed over me like a
Sienna's steps were heavy as she led Rose towards the border."Sienna, please tell me where you're taking me,” Rose begged but Sienna didn't answer her. They continued walking for what felt like eternity, Rose looked up ahead and saw the moonlight casting a shimmering path on the water's surface. The waves crashed against the shore, their calm rhythmic sound in stark contrast to the turmoil Rose felt. Finally, they arrived at the bridge, the ocean sounding beneath them."Stop walking," Sienna yelled. The air was thick with tension as Sienna turned to face Rose, her eyes burning with a mixture of anger and grief. Rose looked around but there was nothing or no one. Just the two of them."Why, Rose?" Sienna's voice was a low growl, her fingers clenched into fists at her sides. "Why did you have to come into our lives and tear everything apart for me? When you finally died, I was happy. Things were going smoothly for me. Luke finally forgot about you. But you just had to show up as his si
As Sienna's grief-stricken cries echoed through the night, a newfound determination took root within her. She would kill them all, one after the other. The world seemed to blur around her, her vision clouded by pain and anger. In her hand, she gripped the dagger tightly, the metal cold against her trembling fingers. With her heart pounding, Sienna made her way through the forest, her steps guided by a singular purpose. She just lost Luke, and although their relationship was not based on love, he was her husband, and now she sought revenge. Her mind was consumed by a relentless need for justice, a thirst for vengeance that seemed to drown out all reason. And then, in the moonlit darkness, Sienna's path intersected with Fena's. The woman who had entered their lives with promises of help and change. But in Sienna's eyes, Fena was now a symbol of the chaos and the cause of loss that had torn her world apart.Fena's form came into view, her figure bathed in the moon's pale light. Sienna's
With a tense silence hanging in the air, Luke and Adriel faced each other. "You're going down, brother!"Then, in a surge of primal instinct, Luke transformed first then Adriel followed suit. In a split second, both alphas transformed into their wolf forms. The transformation was swift and seamless, their human selves giving way to powerful creatures of fur, fang, and claw. The air seemed to crackle with energy as the wolves circled each other, their eyes locked in a fierce, unyielding gaze.In their wolf forms, they moved with a fluid grace, each step deliberate and calculated. Their muscles rippled beneath their fur as they lunged. The sounds of growls and snarls filled the night, echoing through the clearing. As they fought, Luke's thoughts were a jumble of conflicting emotions. The pain of betrayal, everything swirled within him. Every strike, every clash of teeth, was a release for the anger that consumed him for so long. But despite the ferocity of their battle, Adriel's skills
"Sienna, I don't know where you are but run to your husband and warn him. It's not safe to continue!" Fena warned.Amid the tension and warnings, Sienna came to her husband's side, her expression a mix of concern and determination. She placed a hand on his arm, her touch urging him to reconsider. "Luke, we need to listen to reason. If Adriel has found out, it's too dangerous to continue."Luke's gaze remained fixed in the distance, his jaw clenched in determination. "Sienna, this is our chance. We can't let it slip away. I won't back down now."Sienna's voice was laced with worry. "But…." Luke's grip on his weapon tightened, his resolve unyielding. "But nothing! I won't let Adriel take everything from us. We've come too far."The man who had warned them urged them once again, his voice desperate. "Alpha, we're outnumbered. We can't win this."Ignoring the pleas and warnings, Luke turned to Fena, his eyes unwavering. "We're going in."Fena's voice was tinged with frustration. "Luke, y
"Something like that," Emily answered.Sienna leaned forward, curious. "Tell us everything, Mother. We need all the insight we can get."Emily took a seat at the table, her gaze steady as she began her tale. "Alpha Gabriel and Luna Isabella ruled with the people, just like Adriel. To weaken their hold on the pack, we used a combination of psychological warfare and strategic sabotage. It wasn't about brute force, but about undermining their authority and creating divisions within their ranks."Fena leaned in, her expression intense. "How did you do it?"Emily nodded, her eyes taking on a distant look. "First, we focused on planting seeds of doubt and mistrust among their most loyal followers. We carefully leaked information that made them question the motives of their leaders, causing internal conflicts and undermining their unity. With me in the pack house and Luna Isabella away, it was relatively easy.Luke's eyes lit up with realization. "Like we're planning to do with Adriel's pack
Luke's Office. The lady's smile didn't waver as she adjusted her sunglasses, seemingly unfazed by Luke's skepticism. "You may call me Fena."Sienna exchanged a wary glance with Luke, the tension in the room increasing. "Who is the woman? Do you know her from somewhere?" she asked through mind link."No, I don't. This is the first time I'm seeing her too," Luke answered.Sienna faced her. "And why should we trust you, Miss Fena? Why do you want to help us in defeating Adriel?"Fena leaned back in her chair, her fingers tapping rhythmically against the armrest. "You don't have to trust me, but I have information that could be of great interest to you."Luke crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing. "What kind of information?"Fena's lips curled into a smirk as she looked directly at Luke. "Information about Adriel's past, his vulnerabilities, his secrets. Things that could help you bring him to his knees. Isn't that what you want?"Sienna's brows furrowed. "Yes, it is. But Why would you wan
