"Yes ma'am...." the lady continued but it got disconnected

My heart was pounding in my chest, the fear and anxiety overwhelming me. Adriel needed to know about the kidnapping, but I couldn't wait for him to arrive. I had to get to him.

Without a moment's hesitation, I rushed to the garage, my mind consumed by worry for our children. As I backed the car out, tears blurred my vision, but I couldn't let that stop me. I had to be with Adriel, and we needed to find Lucien and Leilani together.

My hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as I sped down the familiar roads, my thoughts a whirlwind of emotions. My heart ached, and I tried to stay focused on the road, but the news had shattered me, leaving me in a daze.

Suddenly, a car appeared from a side street, swerving right into my path. I slammed on the brakes, but it was too late. The impact was inevitable. The loud crash echoed in my ears, and my body jolted forward as the airbag deployed, cushioning my impact.
