Rose's POV

The drive to the pack house felt like an eternity, with my mind racing with questions and anxiety. What could they have seen to summon me to the pack house?

The guards remained silent, and I couldn't help but glance at them occasionally, hoping to find any clues in their expressions. But their stern, unyielding demeanor provided no comfort or answers.

Upon arriving at the pack house, my eyes scanned the familiar surroundings, yet they felt strangely foreign. The place was abuzz with activity, men, and women going about their duties, but there was an air of tension that hung in the atmosphere. It seemed like everyone knew something I didn't. As I looked around, the day I found out Adriel was my second mate replayed in my mind and I rolled my eyes.

I followed the guards through the grand entrance, my footsteps echoing in the cavernous hallway. Elder Agatha's presence loomed in the back of my mind, and I wondered what business she had with me and who she was.
