Chapter 97

Royal's POV

Shutting Clara's thoughts away, I called a cab, "To the pack house."

As I settled into the backseat of the cab, the cab man spoke up, "Sorry ma'am, I'm new around here. Can you give me directions?”

I nodded and gave the driver the address for the pack house. The engine hummed softly as we pulled away from the hospital and made our way through the city streets.

The familiar sights and sounds of the city seemed to melt away as we left the bustling area behind and went further to where the pack house was located.

The air outside was cool and crisp, carrying with it the scent of the earth. It calmed my nerves and I found myself appreciating the natural beauty that surrounded me.

As we approached the pack house, the cab slowed to a stop in front of the grand iron gate. I peered out the window, taking in the sight of the magnificent house I was living in. Although Chase's pack house was bigger, this pack house didn't lack any form of comfort.
