3. Alpha Dimitri

My eyes met with his, they were cold and emotionless. Unlike me, he showed no hint of surprise or shock to see me. It made no sense to me. How did I end up having sex with my stepbrother?

Why has fate decided to turn on me this way? First, I lost my mate to my step-sister and secondly, I lost my virginity to my step-brother.

"Who would have thought the Alpha would be this hot? For someone that came out of your stepmother, he is a sight to behold," Stella remarked as she stared lustfully at my stepbrother.

I stood where I was still trying to wrap the situation in my head but it didn't seem to make sense, not at all.

"Aren't you going to move?" The harsh tone of my stepmother's voice snapped me out of reality, startling me.

"I'm... I'm..." I trailed off as my eyes came in contact with his again.

They were cold. He looked at me as if I was nothing or more like locking gaze with him made me feel like I was nothing in front of him.

"How dare you look into our eyes! You shameless slut!" My stepmother lifted her arms to hit me and I closed my eyes anticipating it but it never came.

I opened one of my eyes to see that her hand had been held in the air by none other than Alpha Dimitri, my stepbrother.

"It's no use mother. Shall we leave," he said to her before letting go of her hand.

"Of course son. I am only letting this go because of you. After all, you just returned after ten years," she said with a smile on her face.

Alpha Dimitri walked past me but not without his shoulder bumping into mine and I almost lost my balance.

My stepmother tilted her head to look at me and before she looked away, she mouthed, "I will make sure to deal with you."

I felt a good amount of cold water on me, walking me up from my deep sleep. I hissed in pain as I opened my eyes only to see my stepmother glaring at me.

"You are just as useless as your dead mother!" She uttered in disgust.

"Get up!" She snapped and I did just as told.

"How dare you sleep till this time of the day knowing well that you have duties? Do I always have to remind you of your place in this house? You are nothing but a slave even if you are my husband's daughter!" She reminded me.

"My son returned after ten years and not only did you look him in his eyes but you also left the house and returned at midnight. I knew you were a slut but I never thought you'd begin to grow wings too!" She pulled my hair and I cried in pain.

"Please... please let me..."

"Please what!" She cut me off.

"I will not keep reminding you of your duties in this house. Do you hear me! If you want to be fed and sheltered then you have to do the needful! You are just like your mother! Useless and pathetic. You only bring bad luck!” She shouted.

Tears filled my eyes as she shouted and said those hurtful words to me. They weren’t new yet they hurt me. No matter how many times she says them to me, I cannot help but feel pain in my chest.

"Let this be the last time I come into your room to wake you up again. If I do, I will make sure that I cut off your hair and make sure your nanny stops receiving treatment. The only reason I have decided to let her is because you did just as told and rejected your mate but if you disobey or make me angry again, I promise that I won't hesitate. Is that clear?" She chided.

"Yes..." I replied in pain.

She finally let go of my hair.

"My son who is the Alpha of this pack is back. His official coronation will take place soon and I want you to be on your best behavior because you will be his maid." She revealed.

My eyes widened in shock. "What?"

"Are you questioning me?" She asked and I shook my head.

"You heard me right. You will be his maid and you will do well by his side. You will wake up early every day to cook and clean for him and do everything he wants without him having to ask you to do so, is that understood!" She stated.

My heart raced rapidly in my chest. I felt my mouth go dry. I had no words. Not only has fate taken two things from me but now it has decided to make my life miserable.

How do I get to be a maid for the man I lost my virginity to? I don't even know him and from what I heard last night upon returning home from the maids, he is ruthless.

He demanded for the finger of a man to be chopped off before he stepped on him by mistake.

"Do not let me repeat myself," my stepmother snapped.

"Yes!" I replied startlingly.

"Good. Now you will resume work this morning. My son is yet to be awake so go and prepare food for him to eat." With that said, she left me in my room.

I hastily took my bath and got changed before heading towards the kitchen to cook.

By the time I was done cooking, I heard the Alpha was already at the dining table and I was waiting for his food to be served.

"It's alright Serena. I doubt he would take that night seriously." I said to myself before heading towards the dining room with Alphas Dimitri's food. I was scared. If anyone knew that I slept with him then it would be a big problem.

The moment I stepped into the dining room, I saw Alpa Dimitri seated already. I couldn't see his face but I could see his back. What caught my eye the most were the tattoos on his arms.

Memories of that night resurfaced in my head and I shuddered. I recalled how I ran my finger on his strong muscles and how he held me firm under him.

"Snap out of it Serena," I said to myself mentally before I reached him.

"Good morning Alpha," I said, not looking in his direction as I set the table.

Once I was done, I turned to leave but his words made me halt on my track.

"I never thought I’d see you again. Now I understand why you didn’t want any money. You are a whore aren’t you?”

I felt my heart skin from the words that came out of his mouth. His voice sounded cold and void of any emotions.

“Do you do that every night?” My heart began to race faster than normal when I heard his footsteps. It was evident that he was walking towards me.

“Do you sneak out every night and sleep with any random person?” He stated firmly as if he knew what he was saying was true.

Can he not make it any harder for me? I was already feeling bad about losing my virginity to him and now he’s making me feel like a prostitute.

“So tell me, how many so far have you slept with? You are really good in bed. You felt so perfect under me. Your moans drove me insane and the way you touched me was exciting." He whispered in my ears and I felt shivers run down my spine.

Slowly, he walked around me and came to stand in front of me, his height towering over my small frame.

My eyes met his again at the expense of me straining my neck. His presence was intimidating yet they sent a tingling sensation down my spine.

"It was different and I want you under of me again. I want to have you moan out loud and I want to see your legs shake once again." He whispered, leaning down towards me.

I closed my eyes shut from fear of not knowing what to do. I felt him tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear and when I opened my eyes, it met his.

He was standing too close. His presence invaded my senses. My eyes involuntarily landed on his lips and I sucked on my breath.

'Is he going to kiss me?' I thought to myself as he kept leaning close.

I closed my eyes in anticipation.

"You may leave."

I opened my eyes to see that Alpha Dimitri was no longer in front of me. I tilted my head to see him seated now.

What the hell just happened?

For days, I didn’t see Alpha Dimitri. Each time I cooked and set the table, he wasn’t there but each time I went back to the dining room, I would see that he already ate the food and left.

Days turned into weeks and my stepmother continued to be the same person she was and I didn’t come across Alpha Dimitri.

I woke up one morning and felt a wave of nausea hit me. I rushed into the toilet to vomit.

I felt faint. I haven’t felt this way in a long time so it felt strange.

“Maybe I’ve been stressing too hard,” I said to myself but I’ve done more work before and didn’t feel this week.

I decided to go and see the pack healer later that day to find out what was happening to me.

“How are you feeling now Serena?” The pack healer asked me.

“I’m good,” I said while trying to sit on the bed.

“What’s wrong with me? I hope it’s not a bad illness?” I uttered.

She smiled. “You are not sick at all.”

I furrowed my brows in confusion. “What do you mean by that?”

“You are pregnant Serena. You are two weeks pregnant.” She revealed.
