Alexia's POV
Pain. Pain was the only thing I felt as I woke up from the soft surface I was laying on. My head, my face, my throat, my shoulders, my neck in fact my whole body was in pain. I didn't even know how and when I fell asleep and how I got here. Afraid by the memory of what happened a while ago, I looked around for any threats, but I was back in my room, so I was definitely safe.
A cup of water on the bedside table caught my attention. I needed water. My throat was burning and itching and I couldn't bear the pain anymore. I reached for the water immediately, ignoring the pain that was shooting out in my shoulder because it was nothing compared to the one I was feeling right in my throat. I gripped the cup and drained it at one gulp.
Suddenly, my mind drifted to Robyn. Where was he and how was he? I needed to know if he was alright as well so I stood up
Alexia's POV What was Emerald doing here? We were finally caught. Now, she would go and tell Kye about it. "Where are you guys going?" She asked, walking majestically forward. I looked at Michael with scepticism but no body reacted or respond to her. "Are you guys planning to escape?" "This is not an escape... We are leaving your pack because we don't want chaos. We have done enough, your Alpha can't keep accusing us of something we didn't do and..." Michael tapped me and signaled me to keep mute. I wanted to just blurt out everything once. I was angry at her. "Perhaps it isn't an escape. Even if it was, I wouldn't have stopped you because I know what Alpha Kye will do to you if he lays his hand on you. Just go, I will clear the path for you." Emerald said with a smirk. Did she really mean what
Ruby's POV When Alexia looked up and saw that it was me who had saved her from falling off the cliff, she opened her mouth widely and made for me to release her from my grip which I did. I owe nothing. She was still in shock and her forehead was bleeding. The Alphas galloped back to us and shifted to their human form. Believe me, I didn't look up at any of them, I kept my gaze low. Not that I considered that a sin or that they would consider it insolence... It was something common amongst us but when you have a plan, you tend to do everything that would make your plan succeed at all cost. It was nothing new. "Ruby?" Michael gasped as he saw me. Alexia was still there beside me, standing like a frozen statue while blood coursed down her forehead. Ignoring me, Miles ran to Alexia and pulled her in for a hug. This wasn't exactly my plan but I knew that Alexia was going to fall and that was the reason I came here. Kayla already gave me the whole details which I had to follow... I
Ruby's POV I was not just comfortable laying myself down on Alexia's bed while she massaged my ankle with smile on her face. How someone be as foolish as her, I didn't expect her to welcome me after all I had done... Still not bad, but I couldn't use her against herself. It was true that I fell and my ankle shifted but the rest was just a mere pretence. It wasn't as hurting as I claimed and that was not even the thing, I couldn't still believe my ears, I didn't want to believe that Alexia bad started to hear her wolf speak to her... What next? She would start transforming and would become an unstoppable. In what world? How was even that and why was it? I still wondered how, I just needed to inform Kayla about this as soon as I could because we just had to stop her powers from completely manifesting otherwise, there would be nothing to use against her and that alone could only wreak ruination. I really wanted to sta
Alexia's POV "I know all of your movements okay? Tell me how you got to save Alexia and the reason you came to our garden instead of the other garden at your quarter... Didn't you come to spy on us?" Ciara asked her, while Ruby continued to lick her dry lips. She looked tensed but I think she was just afraid of Ciara. Ciara's aura is really very intimidating, but come to think of it... How was Ruby able to save me from falling for real? And what was she also doing in the garden before she fell? Ruby's actions needed to be taken note of... I knew for sure that this was another type of her plan, I was dull but not anymore... Ruby already shown me what world and fake friendship really looked like. If we wanted to know what her main plan was, we needed to act as though everything was alright. I didn't disclose this to anyone but I knew it was now my duty to catch the bitch red handed before we could throw
Ruby's POVI sat on my bed, thinking for how to get in touch with Kayla... How I wished I could mind link, would not that have been better... I will not be waiting for unnecessary phones... Maybe I was even accursed on my own. Only goodness knew the reason why all my plan had been failing. No even consideration. I had Marshall, Alexia and Jenna's supporting but still, they did not allow me to stay. Would dying not be better than enmeshing myself and putting myself into risks all time. Even the last time I collapsed, Alexia and the Alpha did not show up. I knew that was a pretense but they di not even bother to come check if I was fine or not. I guessed my game was already coming to an to an end... Perhaps I should give up. I paced back and forth, thinking of my next move and how to re-strategize my next plan. I did not have the time to think about myself anymore... I
Ruby's POVI knew this was a chance for me to cause problems between the Alphas and their sister. Jenna looked at me as I raised my head, pretending to be thinking of a plan that would make the Alphas not love Alexia more than her. "Ruby, please say something. What do you think I can do? I know Alexia isn't at fault here... My brothers are just obsessed with her." She would not stop praising that girl... This was even more annoying. What I wanted her to do was hate Alexia and ask her brothers to send her away but she seem to be blinded by that girl. Why wouldn't she just stop liking her? This alone was giving me a big headache. "I am still thinking about what to do, but do you think this isn't Alexia's fault too? When they Alphas were saying that they can't take you alon, why can't she convince them and make them do what she wants... She can do that, ca
Ruby's POVThe birthday celebration went on, with people dancing and singing birthday songs for the celebrant and receiving gifts from guests, but I wasn't even paying attention to what was going on there any more, I was busy thinking about how miserable my life had suddenly become in a few months. Technically, I was deprived of almost everything in the world I deserved if not all; I didn't get normal childhood, father's love, time for myself and even friends that could be confidants. Alexia was a confidant to me though but now that I had already made her my enemy, it would never change. While everybody was enjoying the party with drinks and food, I was at my table thinking of my next plan. I should get into Ciara. I should make Ciara hate the Alphas and once her hatred grew for the Alphas, she would definitely begin to dislike Alexia too and she wouldn't know when she would throw her out of the house.
Ruby's POVI woke up at the rough sound I was hearing, coming from downstairs. I held my head and slightly moved away from the bed. My eyes were heavy so I went straight to the bathroom to sprinkle water to my face. I came out the bathroom and went to my window to confirm if I was truly hearing voices. The voices were loud, but because of where my room was, I could not hear anything clearly. It sounded like people were arguing but I knew that was not possible. I sat back on my bed thinking of what next when I heard the shout again... This time it was clearer, jerking me up from the bed. I slid into my robe and went out of my room. I should go confirm if I was the one hallucinating or I really was hearing that sound. When I came, I saw no one around that I could ask if anything was going on downstairs so I proceeded to check things myself. I descended the stair case, when I got to th
