"I even thanked her today. I finally understand how hard she had it in the past. Ms. Jenson insisted there was no need for thanks, that she was merely repaying a debt. It's rare to find someone like Ms. Jenson these days. Let's send her a big gift when she gives birth, Luke!"

Lucas asked bluntly, "Did she really say that?"

Shannon nodded. "Absolutely. I won't lie to you. That's what she said. You could always ask her if you don't believe me."

Lucas wasn't going to call Chelsey. He could imagine Chelsey saying that.
