MATT POV

They don’t notice me, too lost in each other to notice me peering through the crack in the tent. Zeke remains calm, watching Fletcher’s grubby paws all over Charity. And yet we don’t storm forward demanding he back away. I’m glued to my spot, mesmerized by the way she is looking at him.

“He loves her.” Zeke whines while we watch him tuck a strand behind behind her ear. “Maybe we were wrong about his intentions.” He huffs, pacing, worry seizing us both while we silently observe the pair. “Look how she watches him.”

My gaze flicks to Charity, and immediately regret the decision. The way her blue eyes stare at him, her mouth slightly agape with surprise, and her irises a shade darker. That lustful expression is one I recognize well, having been on the receiving end. “He could still be a traitor.” I argue, despite seeing the evidence otherwise. Could he be a liability to her?

“If he wanted to hand her over to Dugray, he would have done it already.” Zeke reminds, my claws extendin

FLETCHER POV “Look who finally removed himself from Charity’s face,” Matt snipes. Aggravation surrounds him, soaking his aura. His shitty attitude nettles, wounding my pride. I’m here to say I’m sorry and thank you, yet he acts like a fucking dick? Being the bigger person in these situations is getting exhausting and I refuse to continue. “Don’t say-” Mars warns me, clawing for control, but the backhanded jealous remark falls like vomit. A bodily response I cannot stop. “Like you’re one to talk.” I snort, rolling my eyes at his unknown anger. I remind myself that he is a devoted pack wolf, and doesn’t know the outside world like I do. “Are you the pot? Or the kettle?” “You’re supposed to be telling him the truth!” Mars screams, furious at my refusal to play nice. I’m tired of playing nice. “He’s not ready to hear it.” I shake. There will be a time when it’s right. When he’ll understand but it isn’t today. The knowledge will distract him more, and Charity needs him at his top game.

CHARITY POVI unlock the door to my home, the place dark and quiet as my parents sleep upstairs. I inhale, craving the comforting smells of familiarity. Goddess, how I’ve missed it, even my overbearing mother. My feet carry me through the house, seeing all the changes she has made to the decor. Her tastes are elegant and distinguished. Proper, with the white walls, and simple additions that add a pop of color the space needs. The startling contrasts between our style is noticeable. We are similar and opposites in every way. Two sides of the same coin. Family pictures line the walls in the hall, the three of us in a coordinating outfit, looking so pristine. Too bad these pictures don’t show the massive fight we had earlier that morning. It was a doozy too, and I can’t even remember what it was about, probably something stupid, and not even worth the screaming match.“Char?” A groggy voice breaks my concentration. I almost jump out of my boots, twisting to find my mom in her bathrobe an

CHARITY POV“Gentle guys!” I scream, observing as the workers construct the altar. Only two days until the ceremony for Nora and Xander. My mind has been filled with nothing but planning and executing. The amount of money spent is astronomical, but the rogue alpha doesn’t give a damn. He left no stone unturned to give his Luna the moment of a lifetime. As the rightful heir and alpha of Willowa, he moved to the entire pack within Silver Run’s territory.Willowa has its own borders, but the three Alphas will control and maintain it until an heir is born. Elle bought the now vacant property, her plans for the space a mystery. Xander made enough from the deal to set up his children for generations, without blinking an eye.I stare at the structure we somehow scrambled together in a week and a half. Gardeners and florists will work around the clock for thirty-six hours to ensure the mountains of flowers will survive. The alpha asks for a fairy garden theme; you give him a goddamn fairy the

CHARITY POVDarkness consumes every corner of my room, the blinds and shades shut so tight, no light from the outside world peaks inside. How the hell did I get here? Theo and Andrew must have carried me upstairs from the SUV. I push myself until my back is resting against the headboard and finish wiping the sleep out of my eyes before grabbing my phone from the nightstand. The bright light illuminates the room as I tap the screen to check the time. Goddess, I’ve slept for at least thirteen hours if the betas picked me up from the ceremony atrium at 9 this morning.“Let’s go for a run.” Summer begs, hope lacing our shared aura. She’s tired of being cooped up in this room, and I can’t blame her because I am, too. “It’s after midnight, please?”Her pleas tug at my heartstrings, so I throw the comforter off of me before hopping from the bed. The soft carpet tickling the bottom of my feet, my toes digging in. I reach into the sky, stretching out my muscles. “Fine, but because neither of t

CHARITY POV“Fuck.” Fletcher groans, his lips smashing to mine, arms pulling me closer. My fingers travel from his neck down to his shoulders, enjoying the way he shivers while I explore the definition and dips. His hand travels up my spine, driving me mad, wanting more of him. My hips roll against his hardness, separated by the fabric of his sweats. He continues his ascent, grabbing a fistful of hair, yanking my head back to give him better access to my neck.Fletcher’s tongue licks my neck, while his teeth nip my most sensitive spots. I’m a moaning, quivering mess, rocking against him, my core pulsing with the need for release. “Matt and I are going to have so much fun fucking you.”My secret fantasies float to the surface, heightening my arousal. Fog clouds my brain while my senses are in overdrive. Every caress, sending mass waves of electricity from head to toe. While one arm supports my back, his free palm brushes along my outer thigh, up my hip. He doesn’t stop there until his

FLETCHER POV I stare down at the phone in my hands, pacing, hoping that it works out the anxiety circulating in my bloodstream. My palms are sweaty, my fingers twitching like an addict going through withdrawals. Damn, Charity and her words that haven’t stopped haunting me since our conversation. She’s gotten under my skin. How will Matt react to this information? It’s better he find out sooner than later. If he’s going to punch me, I’d rather happen here, when my bruise will have time to heal and others won’t witness. But what’s most important, there is no chance Charity will see it either. Her schedule is jam-packed, getting ready with Nora and Elle. Xander is with Damon, Andrew, Theo, and Frankie, so I have at least an hour free before they question our absence. My toes tap against the floorboards with impatience. The confidence I had earlier is slowly dwindling to nothing the longer I wait. Where the hell is he? He was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. The longer he makes me

NORA POVXander’s hand laces with mine, as we walk through the Elle and Damon’s house until we reach the office. It’s three days after our ceremony and the last place I want to be is here, but the Alpha couple swore it was urgent, so here we are.My stomach rolls, nausea plaguing me, making me miss my bed. The early stages of this pregnancy are not exactly enjoyable, and being curled up at home with my mate is all I crave.Tingles spread from my fingertips to my toes, my mate’s comforting scent wrapping around me. His presence helps calm the morning sickness. Leaning into Xander’s arm, he knocks on the door, waiting until someone answers. It’s not long before one of the alpha couple answers the door, but I’m not paying attention to them. No, it’s grabbed by the middle-aged brunette standing behind them. Xander’s mother, Camilla. A wave of emotions crash into the mate bond, making me stumble. Anger, frustration, and sadness swirl within, making my blood pressure rise.Aries, Xander’s w

CHARITY POVParamore blares through the speakers of my stereo, my head resting against my favorite fuzzy pillow. I try to stop my thoughts from wandering to where they shouldn’t. To who they shouldn’t.A growl of frustration leaves my lips as Summer, my meddlesome wolf, pushes their faces into my mind. She feels no shame about wanting Matt and Fletcher equally. The idea sinful and thrilling.Wrong. Wrong. So very wrong. People don’t have two mates, and people shouldn’t want more than one. Maybe I am defective? What’s wrong that I cannot pick and accept my choices? But the thought of not having the other makes me sick. My heart aches when I try to imagine the possibility. How selfish am I? They’re both waiting around for me to decide. To choose, how the hell am I supposed to do that? “We don’t.” Summer drones on for the millionth time.‘Making them share me isn’t fair, Summer!” The argument flowing like a memorized script. “They need to focus on finding their mates.” If the thought of

CHARITY POV It’s happening! They’re finally here! In Scotland! Elle and Nora, and the small piece of home they bring. My family. They landed a few hours ago, and are minutes from the school. “Are they bringing your boyfriends, little wolf?” Arran asks, his brows waggling while the others go ‘ooooh,’ and ‘aw.’ These idiots have kind of taken the role of acting like my big brothers, but “Shut up, Arran.” Scowling in his direction, while he grins cheekily. “They’re not my boyfriends.” The month has flown by, and missing them has gotten easier but it doesn’t mean I don’t feel the slight sting when I’m reminded they’re not mine. “With the way you talk about them, you’d think they are.” Harris, a gamma, says in a singsong voice, barely glancing up from his magazine, lounging in an oversized leather chair. “Kind of hard to be dating when I live half-way across the world, and they can find their mates.” I growl, hating when they ask about my boys. Mine. Maybe? Probably not. “Have faith,

NORA POV My brush glides along the wall, the moon and a small lamp is my only light. Inspiration strikes at the oddest times, even when you’re supposed to be sleeping before your red eye flight to Scotland. But the scene, appeared, the perfect mural for our son’s room, demanding to be painted. So here I am, at ten p.m, kneeling in front of the nursery wall, lost in the way the paint glides to form a picture. “Nora.” Xander’s alpha voice snaps me from my trance. My nose scrunching at his tone, because he’s mad. “Why aren’t you in bed?” “Why aren’t you?” I quip, throwing a cheeky grin over my shoulder, to find him stony faced, and arms crossed. He wears his “I mean business, I’m the alpha face.” like a seasoned vet, but it only makes me giggle. “Oh, scary alpha face. I must be bad.” “Goddess, help me.” He mutters rubbing his hand over his face, exasperated by my teasing. “You need sleep, Wildflower. You’re pregnant and we leave for Scotland in three hours.” “Xander,” I shake my head

MATT POVThe cold winter air whips across my face, biting at my skin, but I don’t mind. After the stress of the past few days, it refreshing to be away from it all. Fletcher’s got Enzo, showing Stephan how to use the baby wearing device we brought for my sister. My parents stand in the corner, cooing over their grandsons.“He’s not so terrible, you know?” Melanie’s voice breaks through the whooshing wind. Her shoulder bumps into mine, as she stands next to me at the railing. “The rogue.”She holds out her hand, offering me one of the beer bottles she brought along with her. “No, he really isn’t terrible.” I smile, recalling the first time I met him, and all I wanted was to push him off a cliff.“Oh, you used to hate him!” She teases, her laugh ringing into the night. "Didn’t you?”“So damn much.” I shake, dropping my arm around her shoulders, tugging her close for a side hug. “I’ve missed you, Mel. How is the mated life?”She sighs, wearing a blissful smile and a dreamy look in her ey

ELLE POVI pace, my bare feet pads along the bathroom tile, my stomach twisting violently while we wait. Damon leans against the counter, his eyes on me, watching as I walk back and forth. These two minutes are the longest of my life, the numbers on the timer are counting down at a snail’s pace.“Biscuit,” Damon murmurs, using his nickname for me. His arms reach out, halting my journey, stopping me in my tracks. “You’ll burn holes in the floor if you keep doing that.”He pulls me into his chest, his smell and warmth wrapping around me like a blanket, a shield from the disappointment I’m sure will come. His hand weaves through mine, his other caressing my back. We stand, not moving for what feels like an eternity, enjoying the comfort from the embrace. The sing-song ringtone blares, telling us it’s time, he doesn’t turn it off, letting the noise echo through the room. His fingers caress my cheek, the sparks more potent than ever, growing stronger every day. He tilts my chin upward so t

FLETCHER POV Matt’s music plays through the speakers as the car rolls through the mountains. His voice singing along to the tunes, while Enzo is asleep in the back seat. “We’re almost there.” I interrupt, growing more uncomfortable the closer we get to the Blue Ridge territory. “You should probably drop me off outside the gates.” “No.” He growls, his face turning to me, forgetting the road or that he’s driving on windy roads. “You are family now, and my family needs to get used to that.” “Yeah,” I groan, not liking the idea of being the sole rogue at an unknown pack, where the alpha is an unknown entity. “But it’s still risky to just show up without warning. I’ll be dead before you have the chance to explain. Most pack wolves kill rogues first and ask questions later.” He remains silent, thinking it over before nodding, understanding my side of things. He leans over, grabbing his phone from the center console. “Here.” He hands it to me, “unlock it, and search for “twin” in my cont

MATT POV“Let’s see what you got, Ezra.” I taunt from the center of the ring.“I don’t know why you sound so cocky.” He returns, stepping over the line, and into the center. “I’m the alpha in this fight.”“Then you have nothing to fear.” My shoulders raise in a shrug, arms up, preparing for the fight. He smirks, throwing a glance at his brothers and sisters, who watch from the sidelines. Anticipation clings to the atmosphere, the little monsters whispering from the sidelines, all of them betting on their brother. An alpha. No wonder he’s such a pompous jackass.Unlike other families, each child has a different rank, a rarity among our kind. Ezra, is a confirmed alpha, his twin, Emerson, a beta. Dakota, who has also shifted is a Beta. Everyone else is too young or hasn’t shifted yet to know for certain.Snow falls in heavy sheets, covering the glass dome shielding us from the wetness. Ezra doesn’t wait, launching himself, and I sidestep, keeping my movements frantic and unpredictable.

CHARITY POV “A fucking dragon?!” I squeal, stumbling backwards, tripping over the rug, gravity pulling me downward. “Ow!” My ass lands on the concrete floor, my palms catching me. My neck strains, my head tilted backward, staring at Chrys in awe. Her gold scales shimmering in the firelight, like she’s been covered in glitter. Her gold eyes pierce into my soul, the honey colored flecks, particularly hypnotizing. “You’re breathtaking.” I whisper, unable to look away, shocked by the beauty of her. “Thank you.” Her voice sings through my conscious reminding me she can do that. She nods, sitting back in her hindquarters, amusement in the smirk above her chin. “I didn’t think Dragons existed outside of fairytales.” I whisper, picking myself off the floor, standing until we are at eye level. “We don’t. Not anymore.” She responds, misery and pain lingering in her statements. “Not on this realm at least.” “So, they used to live here?” I ask, my fingers itch to reach out and touch her, but

MATT POV“They’ll come for him.” The pervasive thought invading my mind like a cannonball. “The council, other alphas, witches. They will all come for him and won’t stop.”“Have you told your parents yet?” Aurora responds, not afraid to hit with the hard questions.“No.” Guilt riddles me, keeping this secret from them, not running to them when Enzo entered my life. “I’m not sure it’s safe to tell them anything until things calm down.”“Until you have a handle on the power surges?” Roman asks, cutting into the conversation. Goddess. This family is one massive think tank, bouncing off each other without hesitation. Do they share everything? Like Andrew’s family?“And how the hell do I do that?” I word vomit, pushing the empty beer bottle between my knees, my arms waving around like a maniac. They must think real highly of me. “It’s not like I’m able to call a witch up and ask for help.”Aurora throws Fletcher a look, a private conversation happening between them in a matter of seconds.

FLETCHER POV “He is precious, isn’t he?” My mom coos, looking over my shoulder as I feed Enzo his bottle. Matt is still outside, talking with my dad, Roman. “He is.” Burden makes my chest heavy, as I stare at the bundle in my arms. “Mom, I need to talk to you about something.” She pauses, glancing up at me with concern. “What’s wrong, honey?” “It’s about Enzo.” I whisper, knowing there are too many ears in this house, with their damn wolf hearing. “Where are the twins?” “Brynn and Briar are napping.” She answers, sitting on the couch across from me. “Chase and Cooper are in their shed, building some wacky invention or another. I swear, those two will unintentionally blow something up one day with their science projects.” “Should we worry about the human feds busting down our door?” “Oh, please don’t put that energy into the hair.” My father, Atlas, answers, his chuckle dry with little energy. “What about the older twins?” I fret, not needing them to overhear what I am about to
