Chapter SixtyEight

I stayed in the bathroom for as long as I could but when I finally came out, I could hear people shouting downstairs, telling me it was time to leave. I looked over at the photo of me and Ella on top of the chest of drawers as I walked past it.

I’d never see that beautiful face again.

The realization knocked me back slightly. Obviously, I knew that already but I’ve been denying it all recently. It was my way of dealing with it but actually letting it sink in was really making me struggle.

The guys called me again, but when I still didn’t go down, I heard someone come up. It was Peyton, but she didn’t have the baby. I was kinda glad, I couldn’t see him right now.
