At exactly seven o'clock in the evening, Yin Hanzo is getting ready for his so-called dinner with Mari Sandoval but despite of his excitement, a playful scenery flashes in his mind.
"How can I tame your heart, Sandoval, hmm..." He thinks while facing his vanity mirror. "I'm handsome and attractive, nevermind the wealth because surely, you have tons of it." He talks with his reflection. He finished brushing up his hair, fixed his rolex watch and he's off to go at Elegantè restaurantè. While driving, a message was sent to his email informing that Mari has a reservation for two with complete details in it.He didn't replied back, he focused on driving. After a few minutes later, he arrived at the said restaurant. He parked his car in front serve as a parking lot for customers.Yin was greeted by a waiter, he just made himself emotionless."Any reservation, Sir?" The waiter asked him."Yes, and it is under Ms. Sandoval's name." He coldly answered."Oh! This way, Sir."The waiter assited him from the table. His forehead knitted when he saw no one in that table. No Mari, no romantic candle lights. He pursed his lips and turned his gaze at the waiter who's smiling ear-to-ear."Any problem, Sir?"Did Ms. Sandoval went here?" He asked, coldness in his voice plastered."Her secretary was here earlier, Sir. He was told to reserve a table for the both of you," the waiter answered, nervously. His eyes were furious. "Okay, I'll wait for her."The waiter walked away. He remained on his seat, playing with his phone. He decided to message Mari at her email but he deleted it."Patience, Yin." He reminded himself. "Just wait for her, don't give up easily."Minutes later, he's playing solitaire on his phone while waiting for Mari he's glancing at the doorway every f*ck*ng second but there's no Mari is coming in.It's already an hour, his patience was not that long and decided to call the waiter. He's fumming mad, he waited nothing for less than one hour."You told me, she reserved this table but isn't she coming?!" His thunderous voice echoed at the restaurant. He doesn't care if he make a scene in there. He's angry. That's all matters. The waiter was shaking. "I—I didn't know... Sir!" He answered, fearfully. "S—Sir, please... don't make a scandalous scene, it's too embarrassing..." He added.Atlas held the waiter's arm, gripping it tightly. "Did she ordered all of you around to make fun of me?!" His tone was definitely furious. The waiter blink his eyes with fear. "I— don't know what you are talking about, Sir," he answered, "It's better of you talk with Ms. Sandoval, Sir." He suggests.Yin let the waiter go. "All of you, are you happy? Making fun of me, huh!" He blurted, nonchalantly. "Let's see how far this restaurant will be," and with that, he walked out of the restaurant. He kicked a small stone because of annoyance and frustration. It was his first time, being dump by someone he's interested with. No—that's her girl for a long time but she changed and he couldn't accept itWith his phone in his pocket, he pulled it out and dialed Mari's number."Fuck, answer it, woman!" He hissed. After three rings, the other line answered it."Hello, who's this fucking stranger?" A voice of a sleepy woman. He flicked his tongue. "I'm not a stranger, where are you?" He asked, coldly."In hell, sleeping." She retorted. "Who's this please?" She asked again.Yin gritted his teeth. "Really, Sandoval? Are you enjoying making fun of me? Did you enjoy a lot?" Coldy yet serious, he mocked."Oh? You must be, Yin Montero!" Mari's sleepy voice became lively. "Sorry, I didn't inform you that I can't make it..." She giggles.Yin knitted his forehead, his jaw clenched. "Really, huh? Does it excites you, Ms. Sandoval? Making fun of someone else?""It's fun, really. I had a good night, thinking where your patience go," she chuckled. "Did you enjoy the food?" She asked as if she's concern with him."It's fun, then..." Yin uttered, nonchalantly. "I hope you really did enjoy a lot," he paused. "I made you smile and laugh tonight, and I made you think about me. Was it a progress?" He continued, seriously.Mari from the other line shut her mouth upon hearing what Yin had said. She blinked her eyes twice in order to get what he wanted to say."W-What?" She stuttered. "What progress are you talking about?" She asked.Yin cleared his throat. "Nothing. If I made your night as lively as you are, then have a good night then, Ms. Sandoval." Yin muttered. "I do hope, we don't cross path again tomorrow... because if that happens, I won't think twice to punish you in a sensual way. In my own way of punishing an interesting woman like you," he added before ending the call.Yin went to his car. He shut the door loudly. He drove fast until it reached his speed limit. He was uneasy and upset. As his speed went fast, he didn't notice his phone ringing. He was just busy controlling the steering wheel. He's at a mountain top.Yes, he's far away from the city. He's sightseeing the city lights. Good thing, he has beer at his compartment. He opened his beer, he sat on the hood of his car as he watch the city lights. It was cold yet he felt hot as he thinks of Mari Sandoval, the woman he's interested with and his long time girlfriend who doesn't remember him."F*ck!" He curse. "Am I funny? Do I look like a clown?" He laughs, sarcastically. "Why would she dump me? Is there a reason?"He's talking with his inner self. He laughs, then get mad again. Bipolar, isn't it.He drink three cans, he gets off the hood of his car and went inside. Atlas looked at his phone then in the city lights back in his phone again until he decided to email Phoenix. To: Miss SandovalCan I call?He waited for three minutes when his phone beeps for a message. He smiled bitterly when he received a reply from her. From: Miss SandovalSorry, I'm sleepy. He heaved a sigh. It's just a casual message but it sounds sarcastically.Without any hesitation, he dialed her number and in just two rings, Mari answered his call."What do you need, Mr. Montero?" A cold voice lingers on his ear."Nothing," he answered. He heard something in her background. "What was that? Did you fall from the floor? Are you alright?" He asked with concern in his voice."Are you drunk?" She asked back. "Hey, if you're drunk don't drag me to trouble, asshole!" She uttered, irritation filled her voice."Just a sip," he answered. "I won't drag you into trouble. Just wanna say, good night to you." He said, his voice was serious."Just go home, Montero. You're just drunk. I'll end the call—" he cut her off."I'm not drunk, I'll go home when you come here at the mountain top," he challenges her.He heard her growl."Whatever, asshole! Go home alone and I'll sleep. You're disturbing my beauty sleep!" She shouted and Yin shoo his phone in his ear."Don't shout, you're hurting my ear drum," he mumbled, softly. "You're beautiful, you don't need beauty sleep unless you're meeting someone else."Mari clears her throat at the background. "So what? No one's mad and no one can make me stop seeing someone else."He's thinking her reaction while saying that. Maybe, she's grinning and playing with me. Yin thought in mind."Yeah, no one is jealous and mad," his voice was cold yet serious. "Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep, I was just upset and can't move on because you dump a guy like me." He muttered, flatly."Yes, that's right. I love dumping guys, you know!" Mari said, lively. "It excites me and it was fun."Yin bit his lower lip. "I hope you enjoyed and had fun," he retorted. "Good night then, Ms. Sandoval. Have a good sleep, dreaming and regretting about dumping me." Just like that, he ended the call and leave her unanswered. On the other hand, Mari couldn't sleep as Yin Montero keeps on bugging her mind."Damn it! Is he a f*ck*ng witch? He keeps running on my mind, damn it!" She scolded herself. She rolled all over the bed until she gets tired and just looked at the ceiling."I would love to dump a guy like you, Yin Montero. It's fun yet you made me smile and laugh—no sh*t!" She cursed, realizing what she's saying.Mari woke up late because of Yin last night. She wasn't sure if he went home safe and sound or not.Instead of thinking about him again, she rushed herself at the bathroom, take a quick bath and brush her teeth and at last, do her morning skin care to make her fresh and gloomy. She didn't have her breakfast, she ran off towards her car and drove fast until she reached her company. She was greeted by her employees but she remained quiet and didn't even bother to greet them back.Mari was welcomed with bunch of flowers in front of her office. Her forehead knitted, her gaze darkened."Harvey!" She shouted, loudly. Her secretary came, rushing. Fear flashes in his face. "W—What is it, Ms. President?" He asked, nervously.Mari pointed her fingers in front of her office. "What the fuck is this flowers doing here?!" Her thunderous voice echoed. "Do you think, I am dead already?" She sarcastically asked."No— Madam!" He answered. She felt weird and it creeps her out who sent a flowers from her

"You should take a rest and don't force yourself to work," he uttered and slowly put down the tray in the bedside table.Mari massages her temple. "I'm good, brother. I just need to rest a little bit. I felt exhausted."Mari's brother sighed. "I'm sorry princess," he mumbled. "I should be the one handling the company; I should be the one exhausting myself to work..." He said, sadly.Mari shook her head. "I can manage, brother. I'm already sunk to work loads in the office." She answered, humbly."Still, you carry that burden in your entire life... when I decided to go abroad."Mari didn't utter a word. She sighed, shook her head and get the tray in her be

She creased her forehead, annoyed and stood up, walking towards her door. She opened it and she found Yin and her secretary, almost killing each other. She was shocked when Harvey punched Yin in the face."I told you many times, Mr. Montero, that the young Miss doesn't want to see you either visit her office!" Harvey growled, angry."And I told you, I will be seeing her with or without your consent! Who are you? She's not your girlfriend!""She wasn't my girlfriend and never will be but I have to warn you, Mr. Montero..." Harvey sharply eyed him. "Don't mess with the young Sandoval." He warned.Mari interrupted both of them. "What the hell are you doing here, Mr. Montero? Should I ban you in my company? File a restraining order?" She asks, raising a brow at him.Yin releases Harvey but before that, he pushes him which makes him stumble and slam on the ground."I'm not yet done with you, assho
