“Humphrey……!” Becky called out urgently, her voice strained with pain. “Please, call my husband. The contractions are getting worse.”

Humphrey hurried into her bedroom, his face full of concern as he looked at Becky. As her personal driver, he was always close by. He quickly pulled out his phone and called his boss.

“Sir, your wife is in labor,” Humphrey said.

There was a pause before Alexander’s voice came through and was lacking any trace of care. “Am I a doctor? Doesn’t she know where the hospital is?” He hung up immediately. The driver made a disappointing breath before turning his eyes to his boss’ wife. Becky could feel pains below her abdomen.

“What did he say?” She asked hopefully.

Humphrey immediately composed himself, a calm smile spreading across his face as he said,

“Madam, my boss said he will be glad to meet us at the hospital, probably he might be there before we get to the hospital.”

Becky widened her eyes, as this was a shock to her. It has been so long her husband had felt joyful seeing her. In fact, Alexander had not been home for almost five days, and she was missing him so much. The birth pain seemed to be a fortune to get him to her side again.

“Okay, let’s go,” she said quickly.

Becky’s heart warmed at the fact that Alexander at least cared about his child. Both of them were caught in controversy three years ago, so getting married was the only way to manage the situation.

Alexander’s standing was clear throughout it all when he stated. “When everything settles down, we’re getting a divorce.”

Becky hoped that by that time, she would have been able to melt his cold heart and make him fully hers, so her hopes were high. However, over time, he even slowly drew away from her, despite working together in the same company and sometimes sharing the same bedroom.

About nine months ago, Alexander returned home one evening and asked Becky for a divorce but when he learnt that she was pregnant while she was on call, he felt so disappointed.

“Why did you get pregnant?” He hesitated. How would she get pregnant if he hadn’t slept with her?

“Why don’t you allow me to give birth first…” She replied softly.

“Don’t expect to be called my wife after giving birth. That position is for someone else.” He interrupted Becky with an unfriendly look.

Their marriage life after those words had been terrible. This wasn’t the Alexander she knew even if their being together was an accident. Alexander barely returned home, and it has been a very long time since they both had been intimate. The only reason she still bore his name was because of the unborn child in her womb. Becky thought that his reason for being away was because of work since he was the CEO of the AZ Group, a multibillion dollar company where Becky also worked as one of the top HR managers.

What Alexander didn’t know was that Becky had been secretly in love with him for many years after he saved her life from an accident, if not him who came to her rescue, she would have died. A gesture he has long forgotten and he couldn’t even remember her again. But after a drunken night at his parents’ anniversary party, Becky woke up in the same bed with Alexander. His elder half brothers who were envious of his CEO position in their father’s company wanted to use this situation to overthrow him.

“What? A CEO of a company? You have been sleeping with your staff?” Adams, one of his half elder brothers exclaimed. While Jude, the other half brothers were busy taking pictures of the both of them on the bed. Without delay, they rushed to show their father these pictures. While on their way, they contacted some media houses on how to publicize the negative news about Alexander.

Alexander could not allow the scandal to ruin his well kept reputation and cause him to lose his position. Still on their way to meet their dad, Alexander rushed to the court and got married. Then he publicly announced that he and Becky were already dating secretly. Becky, who had been madly in love with him, was excited how what seemed negative at first has become a blessing in disguise.

Becky hoped that with time, he would fall in love with her. At first, their marriage looked beautiful at the beginning and as time went by, it got worse.

On her way to the hospital with her driver, a viral picture entered Becky’s phone. Looking at the content, her heart dropped. Alexander was holding the waist of a beautiful woman, and there was this genuine look on his face.

“No one understands me like my childhood sweetheart,” was written under the picture.

Tears filled Becky’s puffy eyes, running down her cheeks as she refused to believe the truth. Perhaps it was a doctored image or the doing of his brothers to tarnish his image again. There had never been any reports of Alexander dating any woman since he got married. He never really seemed at ease around women. He had always been secretive, avoiding the media spotlight. Besides, Humphrey had mentioned that Alexander had willingly agreed to meet them at the hospital, so the media must be spreading this fake story to gain attention.

Becky tried to reassure herself that what she had seen was probably the doing of his idle half brothers, her heart continued to worry her. The image she had viewed had momentarily distracted her from her growing anguish. She extended her hand towards her phone and dialed his number, despite Alexander’s request for her not to contact him directly anymore. She persistently called, but there was no response. She wasn’t overly shocked, this was something she was used to. As she dialed his number for the fifth time, knowing it would be her final attempt for now, an unfamiliar female voice answered her husband’s call.

“Alexander and I were taking our bath. I guess you have been calling.”

Becky was startled and she pressed her back against the car seat, and she could feel her breath. Alexander never allowed her to touch his phone, but this woman with ease answered his call. Were they really in the bathroom? Becky felt the pain in her chest worse than that of her abdomen.

“Who are you?” The words escaped her mouth, unbidden. The woman responded casually again.

“I’m Miss Helen, his fiancee. Anything? In fact, who are you?” Her voice claimed possession.

Even though she knew Alexander no longer loved her, she hoped they could live peacefully for the sake of the baby she carried, but she never expected that hope to become a reality. The woman on the other end of the phone looked at the screen and said,

“Becky? HR manager…? If it’s urgent, you can tell me and I will tell him when he is out.”

Did he saved her number that way? All nights Alexander spent away when Becky thought he was busy at work, he was with the woman he loved, leaving her to suffer with her unborn child. Being her first pregnancy, she couldn’t cope with her morning illness and other health issues, so she temporarily stopped going to work.

Her mind lacked clarity, and she was beginning to doubt all the responses she got from Humphrey when she asked him to get in touch with Alexander.

“Just tell him to call me,” Becky ended the call.

At his private mansion that Becky has never entered, Alexander returned from the swimming pool. Since he never allowed anyone to answer his calls during his absence, he equally left his phone in one of his presidential suites meant for his relaxation.

“What are you doing with my phone?” He asked as soon as he entered the bedroom. Before Helen spoke, he asked again, “and I made it clear that you should call me before coming here. Did anybody see you when entering the compound?”

She furrowed and faked a smile before asking.

“Is it wrong to pay you a surprise visit? We would have gotten married if Becky had not gotten pregnant.”

Alexander was a man who loved to keep his love life private and he has known Helen for a long time and they lost contacts. When he met Helen again many months ago at a business meeting, he promised her that he would divorce Becky when the scandal died down. Things took a different turn when he found the pregnancy test result after promising Helen that he was ending things with Becky very soon.

“I told you I was working on it. You should keep yourself hidden away from the press and anyone you suspected working with my elder brothers. We shouldn’t be seen together for now.” Alexander’s voice was very serious and the veins on his sides of head could be seen. It was a business for him first, and he didn’t want Helen’s presence to ruin it for him, just like that night with Becky.

Helen was displeased at the reminder. Forcing a smile and she said.

“I could be your messenger at your office. With that, no one will easily find out.” When she said that, Alexander didn’t say a word, she quickly added, “Please Alexander, I don’t want to be away from you anymore.

Still, Alexander did not give a response. His facial expression didn’t need a word for Helen to know what he wanted. It wasn’t easy for him to be the CEO of the renowned AZ Group as the youngest of the four sons. Any wrong move and his elder brothers would begin to fight for the position.

“Did anyone call?”

As he scrolled through his phone, he spotted Becky’s name in the list of received calls.

“Yeah. Becky. She said you should call her.” Helen responded with a quick smile, her fingers moving along her cleavage. She widened her chest and sat on the bed. She was up to something, to divert Alexander’s attention from his question.

“What did you tell her?” Alexander raised his voice and wanted a reply. He also wanted to keep Helen a secret until after the divorce.

“I pretended not to know about her.” She unbuttoned her first button of her light blue top.

“Do me a favor, Helen, don’t answer my calls again. It’s against my policy.”

“I’m sorry. I thought it was an emergency as she kept calling your phone.” She stood up and moved closer to him

“Becky needs a doctor. She needs to grow up. If she can’t find her way to the hospital, that’s her business. After her delivery I will divorce her.”

He took a deep breath. “If only Becky could read my actions and stop calling me,” he thought. But then, suddenly, his phone rang and it was Becky again. Helen kept looking to see what he would do and how he would answer the call.

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 2- Let get a divorce!

“Darling, are you not going to call her back?” Helen asked as she pretended that she cared after the call ended. But all she wanted was to see how he would answer her call. Alexander, who hated to be questioned said, “Don’t you know my stand? I’m only with her because she’s carrying my child. Once the baby is born, I’ll divorce her immediately. She doesn’t need me now, she needs a doctor, if she is thinking straight.” Helen smiled. Even though Alexander didn’t want intimacy at that moment, his words were very reassuring. While Alexander was busy in the wardrobe, looking for something to wear, she sneakily took Becky’s number. What she did next was a disaster. She had been recording their conversation and used a new number to send the recording to Becky. It was a well-planned move, and she deleted the audio right after seeing that it was delivered. To divert his attention from Becky, she asked with a seductive grin, “Please, can you come with me? I am going for a manicure and pedi

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 3- No more obstacle -Sign it!

Alexander was stunned by the cold hearted welcome. Twice, he had asked her for a divorce and saw how upset she became at the mention of it. This was what he had wanted, yet he couldn’t shake the unease in his heart. Was it because Becky was now the one asking? Was she trying to ruin his reputation after losing the baby? Alexander was bewildered. Becky came down the stairs, walking towards the dining table. Alexander neither accepted nor rejected her request for a divorce and went upstairs, returning after ten minutes in loungewear. It seemed he wasn’t going out, or perhaps he was still in shock from the news. Seeing the table filled with various dishes, excitement stirred within him as he sat down. If she really wanted a divorce, she wouldn’t have cooked for him. At this moment, Helen was momentarily forgotten. Alexander avoided looking at Becky, as this was the first time she had been so cold towards him. Though he hadn’t told her when he’d be home, she had still ensured his supper

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 4- Have you heard?

Alexander slightly moved left and right, his thoughts stormed with confusion and fear. With his unblinking eyes, he asked. “You’re trying to blackmail me? How much do you want?” His voice was filled with rage, and the disdain in his tone was unmistakable. He couldn’t believe Becky would stoop so low, but he was willing to pay to stop the audio from going public or get to his brothers. His parents wouldn’t think twice about demoting him, despite all his efforts in the company, while his lazy half elder brothers would reap the rewards without lifting a finger. “What I want, you already gave me, but since the accident took it away, there’s nothing more you can offer.” She kept her suspicions to herself, as someone else was quietly looking into the matter for her. Alexander suddenly let out a mocking laugh. “Your father’s company isn’t as powerful as you seem to think. Why go back to the place you left?” He thought this must be why Becky was pushing for the divorce. The bitterness

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 5- Did she just deny me?

Helen stepped out of her car in front of the hospital, dressed head-to-toe in black, with dark sunglasses shielding her intense gaze. She paused, scanning her surroundings as though she could sense trouble in the air. Instead of heading toward the main entrance, she veered off to the building’s side and pulled out her phone, her fingers moving quickly. What was she up to? Has she not done her worst? She dialed and pressed the phone to her ear, impatience simmering in her voice. "Why are you keeping me waiting? I’m here for the deal. Put the dead baby inside a bag and bring it to me. Have I not paid for it?"The woman on the other end stammered, her voice nervous. "B-but…ma’am.”“Enough with the excuses. Meet me where we usually do, or I’ll take this to your boss.” Helen ended the call abruptly. The lady’s name who received the call was called Dora, a chubby nurse with a towering figure, who felt a chill run through her. Despite her intimidating height, her face showed just how shaken s

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 6- I want to see my wife

Alexander had never felt this kind of anxiety, not since he first married Becky. His face betrayed his desperation, a yearning so intense it almost shocked him. This was Becky, the same woman he had so often taken for granted, brushed aside when it suited him. But now? Now, he couldn't bear the thought of losing her. Was it fear of her revealing his secrets? Or was there something deeper, an unsettling pang of guilt that wouldn't let him rest? “Where is Mrs. Becky Alexander?” he demanded from the nurse at the reception desk. The nurse paused, a slight frown on her face. “Sir, do you mean Becky Scholes?” Alexander froze for a moment, her words sinking in like a bitter reminder. Becky was no longer carrying his name. “Yes,” he responded sharply, struggling to keep his voice steady. “Take me to where she is.” He turned, and his gaze met the last people he wanted to see, his half-brothers, Adams and Jude. Their smug expressions made his stomach twist. Jude glanced at his watch and let

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 7- Good news for Miss Helen

Helen sat on the edge of her bed, her body shaking as she sobbed quietly into the soft blue duvet. Her face was pressed down against the bed, though no one was around to see her tears. The fabric beneath her face was already damp with them. Who was this heartbroken woman? None other than Helen, a woman usually so sure of herself. Yet here she was, breaking down alone. She’d rushed out of the hospital in tears, feeling humiliated by Alexander's cold, public rejection. He hadn’t just ignored her; he’d dismissed her as though she meant nothing. And why? She’d known the rules, hadn’t she? "Let's keep this quiet, Helen," Alexander had told her so many times. "After I divorce Becky, we can go public. But not a moment before." Those were his words, his promise. She’d agreed to it, told herself she could be patient. So why did she go to the hospital today? She’d broken the rules herself, ignoring everything they’d agreed on. But then, why should she feel guilty? After all, she’d done everyt

  • Please! Marry Me Again    Chapter 8- Fake for fake

The engines hummed softly as the jet soared above the clouds, a sense of tension still lingering between Becky and her father, Mr. Scholes. Though she had made it onto the plane and away from the tangled mess Alexander had left behind, her emotions remained raw and open, like a wound that refused to heal. She stared out of the window, her fingers trembling with a mix of anger and sorrow, eyes glistening with unshed tears as the weight of betrayal pressed heavily on her chest. “Dad!” she finally broke the silence, her voice cracking as she turned to face him. “How were you able to pull that off so brilliantly without notice?” She squeezed his hand tightly. Mr. Scholes exhaled deeply, his face hardened with a steely resolve. “I told you to trust me. But I’m angry at your decision…” He looked at her with a mixture of love and frustration, the paternal ache in his gaze nearly tangible. Becky leaned forward, her tone darkening. “I need to do what’s on my mind, Dad. I know how to serve h

“What did you just do?” Zara’s voice broke the silence, her expression a mixture of disbelief and astonishment. Helen didn’t answer, her eyes fixed somewhere distant and her feet stood still. They stood in the quiet living room, when Zara held Helen’s phone up, staring at the screen to confirm the caller ID. “You ignored Mr. Alexander’s call?” Zara nearly stumbled over her words, she furrowed in shock. “The CEO of the biggest corporation? Are you out of your mind? And this… this is his personal number!” Helen simply nodded, her gaze calm but edged with bitterness. “Yes. Why shouldn’t I? After the way he treated me at the hospital? Do you think I’ll jump up the moment he calls, like nothing happened?” Zara’s mouth opened, but no words came out immediately. She looked down, trying to process her friend’s decision, then managed to find her voice. “Helen… this is Alexander. The Alexander…” She emphasized his name as if to break through Helen’s resolve. “Ignoring his call is… well, risky

  • Please! Marry Me Again    A Home of My Own

Kathrine’s POVI felt so dizzy I might have collapsed if I hadn’t been sandwiched between Henry and Noah, their strong bodies holding me up. The kitten, tired of being squished, had climbed onto my shoulder, her tiny claws pricking my skin. Was this real? Had I slipped into some alternate reality? Maybe the almond milk my mom gave me had sent me into a coma, and this was all just a dream. Because who in the world gives their girlfriend a house for her nineteenth birthday? But it wasn’t the price tag or the extravagance of the gift that hit me the hardest. It was the understanding.Henry and Noah knew. They knew that for the past three and a half years, my life had been nothing but temporary, unstable, unreliable, and downright terrifying. When I lost my dad, I lost my home, my safety, my security. I’d followed my mom from one boyfriend’s place to another, always feeling like an unwanted third wheel, always at the mercy of strangers. I thought I’d built up a tough shell, that I was str

  • Please! Marry Me Again    The Unexpected Gift

Kathrine’s POVI wasn’t expecting any more gifts from the Robert brothers. They’d already spoiled me with flowers, a fancy stainless steel water bottle, an incredible dinner on the gazebo, and those stunning rings. I couldn’t stop twisting the rings on my finger, just to remind myself this was real. This wasn’t some scene from one of my romance novels—this was my life. But when they drove me out to the waterfall, I almost melted. It was such a sweet, romantic gesture, taking me back to where it all kind of began. Okay, technically, it started at the Professor’s house, but our first real date was here, at the swimming hole under the man-made waterfall. That was the moment I started to believe I could actually be with both of them. When we arrived, there was a blanket laid out on the grass, scattered with rose petals. A vase of fresh flowers sat beside a white box tied with a big red bow. They sat facing me, their eyes full of anticipation, like they were waiting for something huge. It

  • Please! Marry Me Again    She’s so cute

Henry’s povI woke up before the sun even started to rise, the sky still dark over the mountains. Kathrine was curled up next to me, our legs tangled together with Noah’s. My brother was on the other side of her, holding her close while she faced me. At some point during the night, we’d kicked off the blankets, but the three of us together kept the bed warm and cozy. When Noah and I planned her late birthday dinner, we never imagined it would end the way it did, with the most incredible, unforgettable night of my life. Maybe even our lives. I reached for her hand in the dark, my fingers brushing over the ring she now wore. She’d accepted it. She’d accepted us.Kathrine stirred, stretching with a soft groan. “Oh my God,” she mumbled, her voice still heavy with sleep. She threw a leg over mine and sighed. “I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. No, make that two buses.”I smiled, brushing her hair back from her face. Even in the dim light, I could see how beautiful she looked. “I’m sorry,

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I could go anywhere I wanted

Kathrine’s POVI should have done this a long time ago. Sliding behind the wheel of my new car, I gripped the steering wheel a little tighter than necessary, just to remind myself that it was real, this was real. The scent of pine-tree air freshener mixed with the sharp, chemical tang of whatever they used to polish the interior at the dealership. It wasn’t exactly pleasant, but it smelled like freedom. Like a fresh start. No more asking for permission. No more borrowing keys. No more waiting for some taxi driver to show up at his own pace. This was my car, and I could go anywhere I wanted, whenever I wanted. It should have been a good feeling, liberating, even but there was a dull ache gnawing at the back of my mind.My mother wasn’t speaking to me.Late last night, I’d heard her voice sharp and angry, drifting from the other end of the house. I couldn’t make out every word, but I didn’t have to. I knew exactly what the argument was about. She must have gone to Weah, her voice rising

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I want to sleep with her tonight

Noah’s PovEven though Kathrine was trying to hide it, I could see she was upset. When I got to the dojo, she was already there. She had taken off her jacket, put on boxing gloves, and was hitting the heavy bag hard. She wasn’t just practicing, she was putting all her strength into every punch and kick. I could almost feel the force of her hits. Her face was red, her breath was sharp with each strike, and sweat was running down her neck.It was impressive and attractive, but also a little scary.I wouldn’t want to be that bag, but that wasn’t what worried me. It was the way she was fighting, so intense, so focused, so fierce. It was like she was fighting for her life. Or maybe she was punishing herself. After what Henry told me about her meeting with her mom, I thought it might be a mix of both. I wasn’t sure if I should stop her or let her keep going. Since we were in the dojo and she was higher-ranked than me, I felt unsure of what to do.Luckily, Clement noticed something was wrong

  • Please! Marry Me Again    I need to know

Kathrine’s Pov“Time to face the executioner,” I muttered under my breath as I opened the door and headed downstairs to confront my mother. My purse was slung over one shoulder, and I could hear the keys to my new car jingling inside, almost as if they were taunting me. I kept my face calm and composed, but inside, my stomach was churning with nerves. I had no idea how my mother was going to react, and I really didn’t want Henry to witness it if she completely lost it.I found her pacing back and forth between the living room and the kitchen. She had kicked off her heels by the back door and I mean kicked. One of them had flown halfway across the room. Her hair, which had been neatly tied up, was now loose and floating around her flushed face. Her pupils were tiny pinpoints, and she was shaking with anger. She was furious, and it showed in every movement.I took a deep breath, trying to detach myself from her emotional state. It wasn’t easy. Her stress and anxiety felt like invisible

  • Please! Marry Me Again    You bought a car?

Kathrine's povBuying my own car might have been a little impulsive, but I didn’t regret it. Well, not entirely. The process wasn’t exactly smooth, though. I had to visit three different dealerships before I found a salesman who actually took me seriously. The first one looked me straight in the eye and told me to come back with my parents. Can you believe that? The second one laughed in my face when I said I wasn’t interested in financing and planned to pay in cash. It was frustrating, to say the least. But at the third dealership, I finally found a guy who treated me like an adult. We talked about the pros and cons of different cars within my budget, and after some back-and-forth, I settled on a modest, older Toyota with low mileage. It wasn’t flashy, but it was reliable and affordable.I paid for the car in full and drove it off the lot, feeling a mix of pride and guilt. This was my first car, and it should’ve been a happy moment, but instead, I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling in

  • Please! Marry Me Again    How much longer?

Henry’s POV“How much longer?” I barked into the phone, my patience hanging by a thread.“We’ll wrap up by Tuesday,” said Guy Wilson, the contractor I hired to handle the asbestos cleanup at the old factory. “After that, you’ve got to wait at least 48 hours for the air to clear. Honestly, with a job this big, I’d give it a full week before we run the final tests to make sure it’s safe.”I rubbed my eyes, frustration gnawing at me. A week shouldn’t feel like a lifetime, but with the chaos at home, it felt like an eternity.I always knew Kathrine’s mom wouldn’t be on board with us, but I didn’t expect her to go full attack mode. The way she tore into Kathrine was disgusting, shaming her, calling her awful names. It made me sick. That morning at breakfast, Clara dropped the bomb. “You’re grounded,” she announced, her tone dripping with superiority. “And you’re not touching your car. Got it?”Kathrine didn’t even blink. She just raised an eyebrow, squeezed a lemon into her water bottle li

  • Please! Marry Me Again    The outsider

Kathrine's POVThis wasn’t going to blow over. I could feel it in my bones, like the ache of a storm before it hits. The tension in the house was thick enough to cut with a knife, and I knew it was only a matter of time before everything came crashing down. Unless I walked away from whatever this thing was between the Robert brothers and me, my mom and Weah would keep pushing. And I’d be the one caught in the crossfire.I was the odd one out here. The outsider. The girl who didn’t belong in the Robert’ world. And honestly, I could see why my mom was so uncomfortable. Weah, her professor boyfriend, was all about appearances. He was the kind of guy who ironed his socks and probably had a spreadsheet for his grocery list. I could practically see him breaking things off with her if I caused too much of a scene. The thought made my stomach twist.Even if I ignored my mom and Weah, this thing with the twins was a risk. A huge one. Relationships were messy enough, but with two brothers? It w
