Molly POV“I thought we agreed that we weren’t going to hurt her.”“We’re not going to but you know as well as I do that she is just as much a part of this as the rest. We have worked too hard to give up now.”“We need to make sure the rest of them come for her. None of this will work if we are missing any of them.”“I just don’t know if I believe what we have been thinking is right.”“It is too late now you agreed to this the day she was born. Do you know how much time and effort I have put into setting this all up? Making sure that those Council members got greedy enough to draw the attention away from what I was planning. Convincing that idiot Bruce that if he betrayed his pack I would make sure that his daughter became a Luna, as if. Alpha Boris was the worst to deal with thinking that his genes were good enough for this. That’s why I made sure that I left all those files at Four Corners that gave them the proof to arrest him. If my Father had just done what I asked back four to f
Kyle POVI couldn’t believe what I was seeing. He is a spitting image of my uncle. Before any of us could ask the question that we were all thinking I heard a crash come from the porch. I turned to see my uncle slump down on the steps holding his chest and mumbling. “It can’t be.” Before passing out. Our guests, forgotten for the time being, I ran to my Uncle’s side and with Quinn's help I got him into one of the security vehicles and over to the clinic.I am now sitting in the waiting area to hear from Dr. Beal. The doors opened and I moved to meet the doctor in the middle of the room. “What happened?”“I will tell you it wasn’t a heart attack. From what I can tell he had some kind of an emotional shock and fainted. Do you have any idea what that could have been?”I was about to answer when from behind me came. “I think that I may have been the cause of it.”Coming down the hall with Alpha Shane was an older version of the woman I had only seen in a single picture that my Uncle kept
Levi POV“Where is that good-for-nothing fucking piece of shit excuse for a human being.” Bellowed Jackson as he entered the packhouse. I guess Jay told them the whole story.Shane walked towards him with raised hands. “Jackson I need you to calm down while you are in the packhouse there are little kids in here.”Jackson looked around stopping quickly when he noticed Meg holding a scared Cora in her arms. “Shit, I’m sorry. I… I just… Shit, I don’t know.”My Dad put his arm around Jackson’s shoulders and led him out the front door explaining that they would take him somewhere he could vent safely and get some of his other questions answered.About twenty minutes later Kyle’s Uncle Jay and Diana returned from the clinic. Watching them I wouldn’t say that everything was good but she is at least staying in the same room as him and talking to him.The group of us made our way to the conference room since the group was way too big to fit in the Alpha office. Introductions were made to the n
Levi POVWhen we returned to the conference room Mona stood in front of a whiteboard that looked as if she was making a timeline for some crime which in a way all this is.“OK so if you will just bear with me I would like to briefly recap everything we know.”Meg stood up and joined Mona at the front of the room. Placing a picture of a question mark on the board she started telling us what she had found during three years she had been away. Why the pack elders had decided to split the pack and send some of them here and about the guy that had caused the decision Mona then explained about the black magic that had been used to enable him to do what he did over the years. She went over the things that had happened with the Alpha family from Silver River and how it all came back to Heather’s family. As Mona spoke Meg placed pictures on the board showing the people that had been affected. Putting them in different columns showing if they had been a willing participant or influenced by the
Molly POVI waited until Clover said she couldn't sense anyone in the other room and slowly tried the handle. I had never tried the handle before because I didn’t want to risk having to deal with the three of them when I knew there was a good chance that they would just use a tranquillizer on me again. As I slowly opened the door I listened for any movement. The room was dark but I realized I could see better than normal. “That would be my add senses,” Clover whispered.“Why are you whispering? You’re in my head, no one else can hear you.” I asked.“I don’t know. Isn’t that what you do when you sneak around? I’m new at this.”Shaking my head I scanned the room for another door or a set of stairs. I was about to head for the stairs to the left when I noticed a set of patio doors to the right. By the looks of the room, we were in a basement with a walkout. That would explain why I had been able to see sunlight under the door to the room I was in but there were no windows in it. Thinking
This is my second book based on some of the characters that were introduced in Twin Moon Curse. It is a stand-alone book but if you enjoyed the first I hope you will enjoy this one just as much. If you haven't read the first I hope you will check it out. Happy Reading. Quinn POV Ten years old “Meg, where are you? Come on we need to hurry up and get back.” I don’t know how I let her talk me into coming out here with her. Today is my first official training with Dad and Uncle Shane. It’s supposed to be the first time that they are going to let me start fighting against their wolves. Well not so much fighting as learning to defend myself. The fighting will come later. It's not going to look good if I'm late, but Meg just had to come out here now. The problem is that it’s been getting harder to say no to her. I mentioned it to Mom one day jokingly. I told her that Meg had been bugging me more about doing things with her and I didn’t know why. When I told Mom about not liking to say no
Quinn POV Fifteen years old Here I am traipsing through the woods looking for Meg, again. At least this time it is a better reason than she just wants to go for a walk. She has been doing that a lot lately, but she stopped asking me to go with her a couple of months ago. This time however it’s part of our tacker training. We have been doing this about twice a year for the last couple of years. Once in late fall, or early winter like now and then again in the late spring or early summer. Dad, Uncle Shane and Mac divide the group of ranked children into two teams. Reed, Levi and Meg make up one. Lucas, April and I make up the other this time, they switch it around each time. One group hides the other tracks them. It comes down to being one extreme game of hide ‘n’ seek. The catch is that if anyone from either team can get close enough to someone from the opposite team and deliver a fake death blow that person is out of the game putting one team at a disadvantage. In all the times that
Meg POVThe next day when I walked into the dining hall for breakfast Quinn was sitting with some of the warriors that he had been training with lately. He usually works with me and April after breakfast on Sundays to help us learn how to defend ourselves against larger males. I get my plate and make my way over the table that April is sitting at. “Morning, you ready to get your ass kicked again today?” I ask her as I set my plate down.“As ready as I am any other time, but Reed, Lucas and Levi will be our trainers today and from now on. With the help of your Dad.” April says popping a piece of fruit into her mouth.I looked up from my plate very confused by her statement. Quinn had been the one who had wanted us to do this training. Why didn’t he want to train us anymore? I looked across the hall to where Quinn was sitting and linked him. “Why are you not training us anymore?”He quickly glances at me and then turns away. “I just can’t. You need someone else to train you.”It almost s
