It has been almost a year since I ran away from Twin Moon. I was so happy at first, yes I missed Grandma but in my heart, I knew it had been the right thing to do. The truck driver who picked me up on the side of the road the day I left was the one I’d seen pulling into the parking lot that day at the restaurant. She didn’t even hesitate to help me. She, Tessa took me to a place that I could stay. It is run by a woman named Diana and her son Jackson. The only requirement was that I finished high school.
