CHAPTER 1

"Hey, Yasha Reese! Don't fill your cart! You are the one who's wasting my money here!" Aishi complained and I just rolled my eyes because of what she said. She's really a complainer.

Is it my fault that she volunteered? Okay, she got her salary today and since she wanted to treat me, she brought me here in the mall and told me to buy whatever I want. I am just doing what she told me and now that my cart was filled with stuff, she's complaining.

"Why did you volunteer in the first place? Now, you're complaining?" I glared at her.

"I am telling you, when I lose money because of you, I will stay in your condo!" She hissed, emphasizing each word.

"Don't worry, the road is wide. You can stay there if you want, it's free," I responded, sounding seriously.

"Whatever! You have no heart!" She shouted at me but I didn’t bother to listen at her nags. She won't be losing money anyway. As if.

Well, she's Aishi Joanna, my dearest best friend. In addition, she's also my manager. Aside from being a model, I actually own a restaurant and in that restaurant, Aishi is my co-owner and my chef. Our roles are in a vice versa situation though. She is my boss when we are in the agency but I am her boss whenever we were at my restaurant.

Going back to the scenario we are in at this moment, because I am her great best friend, I kept adding the contents of my cart while pushing it. She told me it's her treat then let her pay for it. Like a witch, I mentally laughed with that thought. After paying the things we bought, most of which was mine, I accompanied her to withdraw in the bank.

I may sound rude best friend, well I was really rude when it comes to her, Aishi can do nothing. She's used to my rude behavior though but she knows how much I love her. I am just being this way because I'm comfortable with her.

Since we don't want to go home yet, we decided to stay still in this mall. We then headed to the third floor after that. Suddenly, some media press run at our direction.

"Can we talk to you Miss Yasha?" My forehead furrowed when one of the reporters asked me that.

"Ah, excuse me guys, we are here to hang out. So if it's okay, please give us the privilege to make this day as an ordinary one. Not right now, please?" Aishi told them, sounded pleadingly. 

As my manager, the thing Aishi really hates the most is when media will suddenly interview me without it being scheduled and without her permission.

"Just this once Miss Aishi, we will just ask her something," a guy wearing thick eyeglasses insisted and if I am not mistaken, he is also a reporter.

Aishi was about to stop them but I stopped her immediately.

"It's okay. What is it?" I asked the reporters politely. For sure they will not stop until I speak up so might as well do it.

"Is it true that you were already engaged?"

Feeling shock because of what I have heard, my eyes bulged wide. "What?" I asked. Aishi asked the same thing. In fact, we asked that in unison. Like what the hell? Where did on the gorgeous earth that news came from?

"You were the talk of the netizens in the social media Miss Yasha, so we are asking you now if it's a legit?" the reporter asked again.

"Of course not," I immediately refused, now feeling confused.

I do not have a boyfriend. I never entertained suitors as well. Now they're telling me I'm engaged? Seriously?

Soon the media in front of me were in turmoil. Gosh! Why did the numbers of media suddenly increase?

"Who's this person being linked to your name, Miss Yasha?" Reporters asked. All of them looked so eager to know the truth.

"I really don't know what you are talking about," I answered dumbfounded. I was really clueless. 

"But Miss Yasha, that's what they say in the news. Your fans club is already in turmoil," explained by the reporter 1. And my mind is in turmoil as well, I wanted to say that but I kept it myself.

"We just want to hear the truth coming from you," and here's the Reporter 2.

Now, they were throwing me different and random questions. I was really clueless right now. I don't know what they are talking about to be honest.

Suddenly, a reporter approached me and even grabbed my arm aggressively. "Miss Yasha, are you really engaged?" I tried to get away from this reporter but I can't do anything because everyone is now trying to get my answer.

I already told them that I am not engaged but why they are still insisting that? Damn that question. Damn that news. I wasn't engaged. Argh! It was just a fake news for I know. Why would I be engaged? To whom? Where, and when l, and how did it happen, where in fact I have no lovelife at all?

"I guess you need to go now. I will handle them," Aishi spoke softly to me and I have no other choice but to run away from these reporters.

When I found my way out, I immediately run off but some of them are chasing me, not only the reporters but also the other people who already saw me — my fans.

"Oh my God, guys! Miss Yasha is here!"

"Miss Yasha, wait!" Damn, I'm doomed.

You see, I am a model and celebrity. I love modeling and enjoyed my celebrity life, but the thing I hate the most about it? It's when my personal life is being affected. I know it's inevitable for me to experience this but I do need my privacy, too.

I was doing a half run already because I was being chased by the media and my fans. If it wasn't because of the heels I am wearing, I might have been away from here already. Gosh!

Because of my running, I did not realize that I was on the ground floor already. Oh people! Please, leave me alone for now. My foot is already hurting!

While still running, I didn't realize the car in front of me. All I heard was a loud honk which filled my ears and all I did was to scream in fright.
