Sebastian and Benette flipped the heavy oak table to its side as soon as Octavius summoned his first creature. They hid with the unconscious boy behind. Seb fumbled under his suit for vials to try to awaken Dorin. It was a good thing he didn’t put on the undershirt which came with the tux and insisted on wearing his own vest instead.
[Have you determined the kind of potion they used?] he asked Benette who was still busy checking on Dorin.
“It’s a sleeping potion, a potent one made of valerian and strengthened with dark magic,” replied the medic. “I may be able to cancel the valerian potion, but we will need a strong cleansing agent to get rid of the miasma from the dark magic.”
“How is Dorin doing?”
Seb hit his head on the table's leg in surprise. [What are you doing here?] he asked Mar who suddenly appeared beside him.
“Well, it’s starting to get real weird out there, so I decided to join
“One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... is that the most you could do?” Vincent mocked his brother. The younger Morel was able to summon 8 demons from the in-between, but they were all currently being subdued by the demons his older brother summoned.Twelve of them.Three of their demons were too tattered for battle, and the first one was still busy with the immobilized assailants. But still, his brother’s demons were much bigger than his.“This is not over yet...” Octavius, his hands shaking, made another cut in the air.“Are you sure you should do that?” Vincent chuckled, “A weakened Morel is a danger to himself, you know.”“I know what I’m doing!” the other insisted. Octavius slipped his hand through the darkness once again. “I call upon...”Before the younger Morel could finish the summon, his face suddenly paled and contorted as a shrill screa
The men in suits went around Vincent and his company. They pulled out guns from their coats and pointed them at the University students. Seb calmly raised his hands while Johan and Mar stood their ground, eyeing the waiters as more filed into the room.Dorin stepped towards Benson.“Halt.” Warned the valet. “You are an outsider. You have nothing to do with this.”“And you?” Dorin asked.“I am a servant of the Morel house.” Replied Benson. “I am merely serving my master.”Just then, the middle of the room darkened. The center of the domed ceiling cracked. A dark apparition descended from it. A creature resembling a horse with three heads, its eyes flaming, the massive body of a bull with six taloned feet of a tiger and ended with the tail of a scorpion. It ran on a cloud of miasma and landed on the ground, its claws scratching the marble floor. Benson flinched. On top of the creature

Monday morning and the sun is up, the birds are busy in the world outside, but it seems the tenants inside room SC01 of the Special Class Division still haven’t stirred. Finally, a door in the middle of the hall bursts opens, and out runs Sebastian in a rumpled uniform. Behind him trails a young girl looking flustered as she runs after her master. “Wake up!” Sebastian shouts, pounding on the opposite doors facing each other at the end of the hall. “We overslept!” The door to his left suddenly flew open. A wide eyed boy with a nest of brown hair rushed our and nearly collided with him. “What time is it?!” Dorin called to his roommate as he ran to the bathroom before Seb could reach it. Seb, unable to get to the toilet before Dorin, went back to pounding on Johan’s door instead. “Johan! You still alive in there?” he called. There was no answer. Seb checked the door, finding it locked. “Unlock.” he whispers to the door knob. A cli
Johan and the rest looked closer at the man in black. His long, wavy black hair was in a sleek ponytail that trailed to his thighs, while his black skin was as dark as the tunic he was wearing.“Ombra!” Dorin gasped in recognition. The two walked towards them, Ombra leading the way.“I have come for the young dragon!” he repeated. “You, Dragon Blood,” he addressed Johan, “where have you hidden him?!”Johan frowned at him. “Who the hell are you?” he answered back.Ombra stopped at his tracks. His yellow eyes glared menacingly at the fire mage. The rest of the faculty murmured in front of them.“Lord Ombra.” Damien went between him and the students. “Please settle down. You should at least introduce yourself to these people.”Ombra shifted his gaze to the professors on the dias and snorted. “If I should...” he mumbled.“Fellow ac
“I was told by a colleague that you were trained in guerrilla warfare.” the dean addressed Dorin.“Yes, sir.” replied Dorin. They were currently riding a military truck with an open top, on their way to the military division.“How about you?” he faced Johan. “Have you been trained to fight before?”“Nope.” Johan replied, then suddenly remembered his manners, “No, sir.”“How about street fights or brawls? Have you ever been through fights before.”“Well, yeah of course...” Johan mumbled, he was never good with dealing with men in uniform. “It’s quite common in the mines.”“For now we will be having a kind of tournament for the new recruits.” said the dean, “You will be divided into groups of 5 and will participate in an emblem smashing event. The purpose of this drill is for us to gauge your combat skills, and al
The tournament was held in the Military department, in a woody area with a hilly terrain. Dean Alcione led Dorin and the rest into a log cabin with a porch in front where several other military men were seated in deck chairs. There were already hundreds of students arranged in platoons in front of the cabin, most of whom where dressed in military garb. One of the seated men was Maj. Gen. Marcus Muller. He stood up in attention as soon as the group approached the cabin and smiled proudly at Dorin. A tall man with short platinum blond hair and a lot of medals on his chest approached them. “Welcome to the Military Division, Dean Alcione, thank you for this joint lesson and congratulations to the students that passed the Special Class Sphere.” he said with a tight serious face.“Thank you for having us, Gen. Benette.” Dean Alcione answered back. “Let me introduce to you, from the Magic Division, Dorin Silvius and Johan Ignacius from the Magic
“Oh, you’re a master class?” Mar asked Sgt. Matthew Owen with interest.“What’s that?” asked Johan.“That means he had finished all the classes under elemental weapons,” Lilith explained. “2nd Lt. Gunnar, likewise, is a Sword Master, Rapier Class.”“Great! Let’s go!” said Dorin who was beginning to loose patience.“Wait, aren’t you going to bring any weapons?!” Sgt. Matthew Owen asked him.“I got my sword.” answered Mar, touching the rapier on her left hip.“I’ve got my rifle.” said Lilith, tapping the bag on her shoulder.“I’ve got my fi-“ Johan tried to show off his fire but it died away. “I’ve got my...” it was again extinguished. “Dorin, stop stealing my wind.” Johan shouted at the wind mage“Don’t forget your seal, okay?” Dorin mumble

It is true that it is hard to believe the words of a person who have betrayed you. But someone was ready to believe everything about Elazar, even if he was so against ‘her’ when she was still Eirian.[How I wish I had a chance to talk to Elazar before he disappeared!] Sebastian wrote to Dorin when they got back to the dorms one day. [If I only knew he was my ancestor, I would have asked him hundreds of questions about being a silver tongue!]“Question is, would he have answered your questions truthfully?” Johan said after reading his slate. “
News of a terrorist that infiltrated the University spread the next day. The name of the people involved and details of the actual event were withheld from the public due to security reasons, but almost all students in school already knew that it was about Dorin and his friend.“Wait, what was the name of his friend again?” they asked each other. “The real pretty one who had a different hair and eye color each day?”“I think it was Ariel?”“No, wasn’t it Ellen?”
Blinding light surrounded Eirian, as well as thick smoke as the lightning found it’s target.“Did we get her?!” asked Johan who stood on top of a raised dais made of bedrock. He raised himself just in time to evade Dorin’s lightning. “I... I think so...” said Xander who was trying to see through the dust and smoke.“Wind!” Venet called, blowing the smoke and debris away. “How annoying.” They saw Eirian climbing out of a thick glass bauble. “Are you really that vehement to stay here, Dorin?” “That’s right Eirian, and it’s not like I could leave, anyway,” replied Dorin. “Didn’t mother tell you that I can’t leave without graduating first?”“Psh,” she snorted. “That would be easy. I could just tell the Dean to give you a diploma. Problem solved. No need to wait for years just for senile old men to decide if you’re good enough to pass.”“I don’t want that, Eirian. I want to learn.” “I can teach you everything they know, and more.” “Yet you would only show me what you want me to see.”
“Fools! Do you honestly think that you could put one ever me?!” Eirian said with a haughty laugh. “On me, who have lived all these years without being commanded or controlled by any other being?! I have waited millennia just for this chance to come, and now that it’s here, do you really think I would just let insects like you foil my plans?” ‘What does she mean by that?’ thought Benette who held Dagon tightly in his arms. ‘Just who is she? And how old is she supposed to be?’“E-Eirian... you promised!” Dorin said as he crouched on the ground, trying to push himself
Johan gasped when Dagon fell unconscious in his arms, the remainder of a half eaten chocolate bar, falling to the ground. “What did you do to-” “Stop.” The force of command in Eirian’s voice made everyone’s body quiver. No one moved. No one could even breath. “You think a mere dragon child would be enough to stop me?” Eirian said with amused laughter. “Now listen to me,” she said, only then did the people around her take a gasp of breath. “No one tells me what to do. I give all the commands here, and you will simply o-” She was surprised when Johan suddenly struck his hand out towards her. She tried to jump back, but wasn’t quick enough. The fire mage quickly grabbed her mouth and covered it with a rough, calloused hand. “Got you, you bitch,” he snarled with Dagon dangling on his left arm, still sleeping. “You think your tricks can work on me? I’m used to dealing with double crossing bastards like you, and I’ve got experience!” He looked back as someone touched his shoul
Benette concentrated on the quivering body in front of him. He knew that as long as there was still warmth, as long as there was a spark of life in the cells within a body, that he could spread that life to create something new. When he was younger, he didn’t know how to heal, he simply knew that a living thing should live, and so wished it. It was so simple and obvious that he just knew that is should be. Just like how the lungs keep on breathing and the stomach digesting and the heart beating. Now that he is older and more knowledgeable of the parts and functions of a living organism
The first time Patrice Francoise Benette used his healing powers was when he was four years old.Coming from a strict, military family, his parents both demanded absolute obedience to rules and utmost respect to the highest authority, which was his father. As soon as he learned to talk, he was taught to call the Benette patriarch ‘Sir’, and told to act accordingly in a disciplined manner. Toys were limited to practical educational materials.
Chapter 112- I Admit Defeat ‘Is that the best you can do?’ Mordecai’s voice taunted Dorin in his mind. ‘I’ve already seen all your attacks, may it be wind, water, fire, earth, and lightning. So what else can you do?’ Dorin didn’t answer. He tried his best to chase and hit the medic, but none of his attacks can seem to touch him. He wanted to release everything, drown in the power of his lightning as before... ‘As before?’ His opponent was a powerful mage from the capital, He didn’t need to worry about holding back or a possible overkill. He can just have some fun again. ‘Again?’ He looked up at the sky and called to the darkness, calling pillars of thunder down upon Mordecai. Still, the attacks didn’t work. ‘Still not good enough.’ Mordecai laughed inside his head. ‘Useless. Should I proclaim myself as the winner now?’ Dorin’s eyes shone golden. He no longer cared what happened before or here after. ‘Not yet.’ he entered Mordecai’s mind. And he had a feeling as well that
