Chapter 106 -
“I see you’re still here,” Johan addressed Benette. “What time does your classes start?”
“I-it starts at 9, I only have classes with Prof. Althea, after all,” the medic replied nervously. “M-my father kicked me out of the military program, so, aside from magic defense, there’s really nothing more...”
“See, it’s better not to have classes so early in the morning!” Johan said with a grin, ignoring the facts about Benette’s father. “Right, Sebastian?”
Chapter 107 “My liege, will you be meeting Ms. Margarette this morning?” Benette nearly jumped. He was still not used to Azra changing into her human form. [After lunch. She has an early military drill today. I sould at least rest a bit after that chaotic breakfast.] “Well, it won’t last long, since I’ll be back working in the cafeteria starting next week,” said Johan. “I think Dorin will also be working twice a week as well.” [Good. That means, no more Xander and company.] “It was pretty fun eating with everyone, though, reminds me of the mines.” Johan looked at Benette. “I guess the two of you aren’t used to it, though.” “N-no... actually...” Benette said with his hands raised. “I was actually... also happy to eat with... everyone else...” he trailed off, his face turning red. “Hey, could you speak louder?” Johan frowned at him. “You should have more confidence, you’re part of the Special Sphere, after all, you’re not just a military nobody anymore.” “S-sorry...” Bene
The day passed by as days should. It turned into night which led to another day. In time, it turned into weeks and the weeks into a month, granting Sebastian the promise of ordinary days in the university. But one person was not very happy with the way things were going.“You’re going to the library again?!” Eirian asked Dorin, almost shouting. The people around them looked at their direction and kept their eyes glued on the lovely red-head girl with pink eyes, wearing a long, tan coat and a plaid mini-dress underneath. “But it’s a Sunday today, Sundays are the o
“Dorin! Johan! How are you this afternoon!” Xander called to his friends as soon as they met in their Magic Defense class.“We’re all doing fine,” Dorin replied with a smile. “Are you still busy with your other classes? We seldom see you around lately?” “Oh, they know when they are not needed, right, Xander?” Eirian suddenly piped in, giving Xander a slight smile. “Ah, that is correct, I can’t stay long today, either,” Xander replied, though he still wanted to talk to his friend more. “I have been busy transcribing an ancient text I found in my family’s library, you see, and Johan had been a
Chapter 110 – A Healing Duel“Hey, Dagon! Time to take a nap!” Johan called to his ward. He was slightly taken aback when he saw Xander’s group in a circle, all of whom were gently stroking Dagon’s spiky hair.“What are you doing?” he asked suspiciously. “Oh, Dagon is just so cute!” replied Xander with his usual silly grin. “We were just praising how cute he is!” said Mordecai.
Chapter 111 - Deja Vu“I’ve got you.” Mordecai appeared out of nowhere, catching Prince Alexander before he could hit the ground. “That’s 8-5!” he called back to Benette who was busy mending a broken arm.”“No fair!” the other called back, making Johan stare at him. “Xander’s just unconscious, and you keep choosing ones who aren’t that injured at all!”“
Chapter 112- I Admit Defeat ‘Is that the best you can do?’ Mordecai’s voice taunted Dorin in his mind. ‘I’ve already seen all your attacks, may it be wind, water, fire, earth, and lightning. So what else can you do?’ Dorin didn’t answer. He tried his best to chase and hit the medic, but none of his attacks can seem to touch him. He wanted to release everything, drown in the power of his lightning as before... ‘As before?’ His opponent was a powerful mage from the capital, He didn’t need to worry about holding back or a possible overkill. He can just have some fun again. ‘Again?’ He looked up at the sky and called to the darkness, calling pillars of thunder down upon Mordecai. Still, the attacks didn’t work. ‘Still not good enough.’ Mordecai laughed inside his head. ‘Useless. Should I proclaim myself as the winner now?’ Dorin’s eyes shone golden. He no longer cared what happened before or here after. ‘Not yet.’ he entered Mordecai’s mind. And he had a feeling as well that
The first time Patrice Francoise Benette used his healing powers was when he was four years old.Coming from a strict, military family, his parents both demanded absolute obedience to rules and utmost respect to the highest authority, which was his father. As soon as he learned to talk, he was taught to call the Benette patriarch ‘Sir’, and told to act accordingly in a disciplined manner. Toys were limited to practical educational materials.
Benette concentrated on the quivering body in front of him. He knew that as long as there was still warmth, as long as there was a spark of life in the cells within a body, that he could spread that life to create something new. When he was younger, he didn’t know how to heal, he simply knew that a living thing should live, and so wished it. It was so simple and obvious that he just knew that is should be. Just like how the lungs keep on breathing and the stomach digesting and the heart beating. Now that he is older and more knowledgeable of the parts and functions of a living organism
