Chapter 31: A Long Night

I pulled out of her, still tormented. For a brief moment, I felt fully satisfied, resting my face between her breasts. I kissed the sweaty skin beneath one breast, trying to calm my breathing. I felt her heartbeat slow down, just like her breath. Damn, she was even better than I had imagined. Her pale skin was now red, and it was fascinating.

I slid my hand along the side of her body, feeling the gentle curve of her waist down to her hip. I wanted the sensation of being inside her again. Having her around me was almost inexplicable. I was right when I thought we would be good together. But good didn't even come close to what we were.

Her body still trembled a bit beneath mine, and her eyes were closed. Maybe I had demanded too much from her. I stood up before lifting her in my arms.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"You can rest in my bed," I said, walking towards the stairs.

"What? No. I just need a few minutes, and then I'll leave."

"Leave? Do you really think I'm going to let
