7 - Not Same Level

"Yes, that's because I'm still sleepy and you're bothering me," said Jordi irritably. He looked for whatever excuse he could to get rid of Hana and Norita from his apartment.

"You lied," said Hana, who still didn't believe Jordi.

"You guys really don't believe me, do you?" Jordi protested. He pretended to get a drink in the kitchen while guarding Alice's hiding place so that Norita and Hana would not visit him.

"But there are kissmarks on your neck, Jor!" Now Hana's voice started to come out in a protesting tone.

"Oh, well... that's the name of the club too. Everyone is drunk. So if a drunk woman gives me a kissmark on my neck, that's normal," Jordi explained again.

"So you were drunk last night? Oh my goodness, Jordi! I have told you many times that you shouldn't be drunk." said Norita angrily.

"Yes, yesterday was the graduation ceremony; just passed the trial, Mom! It's okay to get drunk once in a while, Mom," explained Jordi as he took a sip of water from his glass. He feels thirsty because he has to lie all the time.

"Then where is Alice? Did she come with you to the club?" Norita asked angrily.

Jordi nodded.

"Alice got drunk with you?"

"No. Alice only drank orange juice. She wasn't drunk," explained Jordi.

"Alice is not drunk, nor am I. We were only given medicine by that damn Vania," Jordi muttered in his heart.

Actually, he thanked Vania for giving him the medicine, and finally he could be with Alice. Behind mistakes, there must be lessons to be learned, right? The proof is that now Jordi can be closer to Alice and understands in his own heart that he has loved Alice from the beginning. Just Alice.

Jordi will fight to get Alice as his future wife.

"Then who will take you home if you're drunk? I saw your car in the parking lot."

"Ah... I took an online taxi, Mom. Drunk people can't drive," added another lie that came out of Jordi's mouth.

"Remember Jordi! Don't you dare have a one night stand!" Norita warned, "I don't want a woman to claim to be pregnant because of you and force you to marry her!" Norita emphasized again.

"Calm down, Mom. I'm not a bad boy," said Jordi confidently.

"I want to drink first." Norita stepped into the kitchen, where Jordi was.

"I will get it later, Mom." Jordi immediately stopped Norita. He took a glass and filled it with mineral water.

"This is for you and Hana," Jordi put it on the bar table.

"Does Alice know where she wants to work?" Norita asked curiously while sipping the mineral water provided by Jordi.

"I don't know, Mom," answered Jordi casually.

"Well... aren't you Alice's friend? Didn't Alice tell you about what she was doing?" Norita frowned in confusion.

"Alice is busy with Nino. So she rarely talks to me," answered Jordi, pretending to be sad.

"Nino? Who is Nino?"

Nino is a new name that Norita doesn't know.

"Alice's boyfriend, Auntie," said Hana with a smile full of satisfaction.

"Ah... so Alice already has a boyfriend. That's good. So Alice doesn't stick to you like a stamp."

There was a feeling of slight relief in Norita's heart. The person she suspected had more intentions towards Jordi turned out to already have a boyfriend. This means that Alice doesn't need to interfere with the relationship between Jordi and Hana anymore.

"Yes. Alice is arrogant now, Mom. Just yesterday when she went to the club, Jordi had to beg Alice to come first," said Jordi, pretending to be spoiled.

"Oh my. Don't be like that to Alice!" said Norita irritably.

"Alice is Jordi's good friend, Mom. So Jordi wants to celebrate Jordi's graduation with a good friend."

"Remember Jordi! Alice is just a friend! JUST A FRIEND!" Norita said firmly to Jordi.

"Oh... why only friends? What's wrong with Alice? What's wrong with Jordi having feelings for Alice?"

"BECAUSE ALICE IS NOT AT THE LEVEL OF US!" Norita emphasized again, with her voice getting higher and higher.

"Hah... but Alice is Jordi's life saver, Mom. Alice is also very kind to Jordi." Jordi did not accept Norita's insulting remarks to Alice. The person Jordi loves right now. Especially at this time, Alice must have heard what Norita said.

"What's wrong with you, Jor?" asked Norita, confused.

"I think you should get out of here. I want to rest. My head hurts," Jordi said to Norita and Hana.

"Do you need medicine?" Norita is very worried about Jordi's condition.

"No. I just want to rest. It's better for you to go first. After I recover, I will go home," said Jordi, holding back his emotions.

"Okay." Norita knows that if Jordi has a high-pitched voice like that, it means Jordi doesn't want to be bothered anymore. So Norita and Hana were forced to leave Jordi's apartment without finding any evidence.

Jordi closed the door to his apartment and locked it tightly. He immediately ran towards the kitchen set and opened the door.

Jordi felt uncomfortable when he looked into Alice's eyes, which were already streaming with tears. "Alice."

"Yes." Alice tried to wipe the tears that kept spilling from her beautiful eyes.

"Come on out," said Jordi, holding Alice's hand, which was shaking slightly. He helped Alice get out of the kitchen set.

"Sorry," whispered Jordi, who immediately hugged Alice's body, which continued to shake from crying.

"It's okay. What your mom said is true. We are just friends, and we are on different levels. I should have been aware of myself since we first met," concluded Alice, trying to be strong.

"No! That doesn't make any sense to me!" Jordi refused, who continued to hold Alice's body tightly.

His beloved woman is now hurt, and Jordi doesn't want that. Alice must be happy, and Alice's happiness is only being with Jordi. Not another man.

"That's it, Jor. Hmm... maybe it's best if we don't have to meet again." Alice tried to free herself from Jordi's arms, but Jordi didn't want to let go of Alice at all. He still hugged Alice tightly and didn't want to let go again.

"Let go, JOR!" forced Alice, who tried to rebel from Jordi's embrace.

"No way, Alice. You are already mine, and that will be the case. I will never let you out of my hands again. Not to another man!" stressed Jordi, who still didn't want to let go of his hug.

"Please. I'm short of breath." Alice struggled.

"Oh, sorry." Jordi immediately loosened his embrace on Alice's body but still didn't let Alice go.

"Just let me go. Oh... it's so stuffy for me to be hugged all the time by you!" Alice protested, who continued to rebel, wanting to escape from Jordi's embrace.

"But first you promise me one thing!" Jordi looked at Alice's eyes which were glistening with tears.
