Kylie parked the car in front of her parents house. She turned off the ignition of the car and stepped out.
She couldn't quite place her fingers on why she obliged to her mother's request again. It wasn't even a request,it was an order and Kylie knew better than to refute her mother's order.
Something in her heart told her she wasn't here because she didn't want to displease her mother. Why she actually came, she couldn't pinpoint. She walked into the house, her car keys dangling on her fingers. She met Carina seated on the long arm couch,a fine cream product of LoveSac. She was sipping tea when she saw Kylie walked in."Kylie."Carina said gently."Mother."Kylie said less spiteful. "You wanted me here." she said still standing. She dropped the cup on the saucer and placed it on the grey ceramic glass table.
"It's good to see you still have respect for your mother. Do sit down Kylie, you're not a stranger here, this is your home." she said.Kylie hesitated. She didn't want to feel comfortable discussing this issue but her mother seemed more cool than when she paid her a visit.
Shrugging her shoulders, she took her seat on another couch but still close to her a bit."Kylie,"Carina began as she took a deep breath. Henry had told her to discuss the issue with care and gentleness. She should try to see reasons with her and not get her angry."I understand that this is tough on you and hard for you to take. But,I want you to see reasons with me sweetie." Carina said. For the first time since she heard of the outrageous idea of marriage with Leonard, she felt the anger seep out of her and dissipate just like it came.
"What reasons mom?You know for a fact that I love Rex and he means a lot to me." Kylie said.
The mere mention of Rex name irritated Carina but she placed it upon herself not to flinch and send the conversation into another direction."I don't see Rex as someone worth you Kylie." Carina repeated as usual.
"Here we go again." Kylie rolled her eyes. "Mom,you really can't pick a spouse for me. This is the modern world." Kylie said trying to make her understand.Carina shook her head. "You call me outdated but what about you?"
"Me?what has this got to do with me?"Kylie asked baffled as she sat up in curiosity. "I'm pretty much in this century. I don't think outrageously like you do."Carina picked up her cup of tea,the hot scalding feel was gone and replaced with coldness. "And still yet you've remained untouched by a man. Isn't that what outdated people do?"Carina said placing the cup on her lips and watching her words sink right into her daughter's head.
Kylie stared at her speechless. She didn't know what to say but her mother was right. She had always refused to have the feel of a man inside of her.
Even in her present relationship, she had denied Rex sex countless of times. They could have a steaming make out but she never allowed him inside of her."I'm not really untouched by a man."Kylie said and shrugged."Hmm,"Carina said with a look that said 'I don't buy that'." I'm your mother and I know you." she stated out.
"Fine. Doesn't matter if I've been defiled or not. What has that got to do with this?"Carina returned the cup back on the table. "You love Rex right?" Carina questioned. Her eyes boring right through hers.Kylie felt a ray of hope when she heard her mother's question. Perhaps she was about to have a change of heart. "Very much." she nodded.
"Then why have you not given yourself willingly to him?"she asked. No mother in her right mind would ask her daughter this but Carina was trying to make a point. Her daughter's decent lifestyle had always been her pride and she never would question it. But she needed her to see the light.
Kylie was flabbergasted by her mother's question."Mother." she said in a disturbed voice."No Kylie,it's a question you must answer. Think about it. When you love someone, you give your all. Your heart, body and soul. But reverse is this case. Your body is far beyond his reach for now, haven't it occurred to you that maybe he was getting his pleasure somewhere else? He's a man after all." Carina said stating her facts.
Kylie frowned. Rex loved her and would never cheat on her. "If this is a ploy to make me distrust Rex,then it ain't working mom. I won't fall for your tactics." she said.
Carina smiled. "Men would be men Kylie. I've been in this world long before you. Let no man fool you my dear." she said.Kylie rose to her feet. She didn't want the conversation to take a drastic turn and end up bitterly. It was best she took her leave.
"It's getting late already. I beg to take my leave." she said.Carina crossed her legs elegantly and nodded. "Drive safely dear." she said. Kylie faked a smile and walked out the door.
"You'll see, that I'm making the best decision for you and you'll one day thank me for it."Carina said to herself as she leaned back on the couch..

Rex Monroe poured himself another glass of brandy and gulped it down in one sip. He exhaled as he watched the strippers perform.
He was seated with a few friends of his in the LA Confidential club, one of the most popular clubs in London. In this place,he was familiar with the lots of them. This was his usual hangout whenever Kylie was too busy for him. They haven't even spoken in days. Not that he bothered. Soon enough, one of them will reach out to the other and the same routine will begin. The outings, spending little time together, making out, which would never result to sex.
Damn that woman. He was a man with needs. I mean, still a man with needs. Doesn't she know how hurtful it was starting something pleasurable only for it to get cut short?doesn't she know? He wondered in annoyance.
He engaged in frequent talks with his friends of the same caliber. He gazed lustfully at one of the strippers who appeared to be extremely busty just the way he liked them.
Kylie had no idea this was where he spent most of his time. Clubbing, drinking and being the original bad boy he was. With the stripping show ending,Rex walked back stage to see the stripper that caught his fancy. Tonight, just like every other night,he would forget about Kylie and enjoy the pleasures of the world.
"Beautiful." he called out to her just as charming as he would do with Kylie.
She turned to him flashing a seductive smile."You must be new." he said as she walked up to him."Indeed I am." she said. Her hands seductively on his chest. He grabbed her waist and pulled her roughly to himself. His eyes diverting to the fullness of her breast that was threatening to spill from the clips of the tiny fabric.
"Loved your moves back there. Are you willing to show them to me?"he asked with a glint of anticipation in his eyes. She giggled."How much are you willing to pay sir?"
"Any price befitting you beautiful." he said. She could feel his member rising as he grabbed her tighter."Lead the way." she said in a low slutty voice.****************
The Audi A3,a sleek blue sportback owned by no other but Leonard Michaelson, drove into the premises of LM Tech. The skyscraper glittering in the sunlight. One of his bodyguards opened the backdoor and he stepped down from the car in an exquisite black suit and a pure gold Rolex watch. He walked towards the company and the doorman opened the entrance door as he greeted. "Good morning sir."Leo raised a hand to signify that he heard him. He was never one to reply to the greetings of his staffs. They were all used to this attitude of his. They addressed him as Mr grumpy behind his back. Though he was temperamental,he was also quite reserved. Lance came up beside him as he advanced towards the elevator."Good morning sir." Lance greeted."Everyone's in the conference room already?" he asked waving the greetings aside."Yes,everyone's waiting."he answered. Leo was fond of keeping people waiting. It didn't matter who,his
Kylie arrived at the café and saw Rex seated at the last end of the table. On the table was a half eaten French tuna salad and a cup of cappuccino. It seemed like he had ordered before she came. She braced herself and walked up to him with a smile on her face. He stood up when he saw her walking towards him. He smiled when she came closer and he placed a light kiss close to her lips."I've missed you." he said as she took her seat on the opposite side."I have too. I've just been caught up with work." she said.He managed a little smile. "It's you Kylie. You're a workaholic." he said. She could tell he was annoyed by that fact. It wasn't her fault. She had to be up on her toes since the Broadway was fast approaching. She placed her hand on his."I'm sorry. You know I'll never neglect you on purpose." she said feeling guilty for not spending more time with him. Just then, the waiter walked up to her to take her order."A cup of
Rex fumed in anger has he drove away. The interchange between Kylie and Leo was more than what it seemed."How do you know him?" Rex questioned. She shrugged. "He's a son to my mother's friend." she said plainly. "And the interchange between both of you was what?"he asked as his knuckles tightened on the steering wheel."What interchange?I was defending you." Kylie said getting irritated by the questions. She heaved in relief when he parked the car at the parking lot of the company."I'll call you." he said to her as she stepped out of the car. She didn't even want to respond to him.Her mind was crowded with the words of Leo as she walked into the company and into the elevator. "I expected more." his words flashed across her mind. How dare he?! How dare he ridicule Rex that way. She fumed. It was only after she got seated in her office did she realize she didn't put a call through to her driver to pick up her car.She called
Kylie looked over each fabric of designs in front of her. She had pushed them into bringing out the extreme best they had in them.Their designs were indeed very good than the last time. She felt each sequin of the dresses and smiled. The embroideries too were perfect. "I'm very much pleased with what I'm seeing and I must confess it's a job well done." she said and they beamed with smiles."Thank you very much ma'am." they said in one accord. Kylie nodded. All she needed was a significant look that stood out just like the combined design with Anna's pattern. She needed a brainstorming idea just like that but she was too distracted to think. She turned to leave but stopped. "Lest I forget,Every sketch design that you feel is not worth making, should be torn into pieces, bits by bits before throwing it into the wastebasket. Am i clear on that?" "Yes ma'am." They chorused and she walked back into her office. She rubbed her aching neck. These past
It was a sunny Saturday and Leo was seated in the comfort of his study going through a couple of books on his desk when he heard a knock on the door."Come in." he said. His housekeeper Helen, walked into the room. "Sir,you have a few guests waiting for you downstairs." she said."Did they say who they were?" he asked. She shook her head. "They wouldn't say." she said. He stared at her with a displeasing look. "And you just let them in the house?"She shuddered. "I'm sorry sir." she said. "Go." he said and she slightly curtsied and walked away.He stood up and walked out of the study room. He walked down the length of stairs and saw Gory and Oliver seated on the sofa. "The ghost visitors who won't tell Helen who they are." he said chuckling as he walked to them. They stood up smiling."I told you he's gonna be in today." Gory said as he shook Leo's hand and Oliver did the same."You were definitely right about it Gory." Ol
Her heart raced as he walked towards her. He wore a white shirt,a slim fit royal blue tuxedo and a blue polka dot tie.His hair was stylishly cut at the nape of his neck. She looked away making herself understand that she disliked this man and was only getting married to him because of her mother. He sat beside her and she could feel her stomach churn again. She was sure she was already sick of him."My son," Lucinda said kissing his forehead. "I'm so proud of you." she said."I'm the one who's more proud here Lucinda," Carina chipped in. "I'm having such a handsome man as my son in law." she said smiling and held his cheek tenderly.Leo could hardly suppress his embarrassment. They were treating him like a little boy."Mom," he whined."Cut the kids some break you too. It's their engagement tonight, give them some room." Henry said coming out from nowhere with Rio."Let the ceremony begin." Rio said motioning to Leo to come forward
Jenna was in the kitchen chopping some cilantro when Kylie walked into the kitchen."Good morning Kylie." Jenna said taking notice of her."Morning Jen," Kylie said taking a bottled water out of the fridge. "What's cooking?" she asked as she reached for a glass on the rack and emptied the bottled water in to the glass."Bacon, eggs, sausage, pudding, mushroom and toast." she said as Kylie gulped down the glass of water.Kylie leaned on the kitchen counter closing the bottle. "That sounds delicious." she said. She replaced the water in the bottle and placed it in the fridge. "I'll be at the dining to get a few sketches done." she said."Okay,I'll be done in a few minutes." Jenna said as Kylie walked out of the kitchen. She went into her room, picked up the sketchbook and returned to the dining room. She gazed at her sketch and grudgingly loved it.If only she was getting married to the man of
Kylie walked into the fabric room and picked up a white fabric. She ran her fingers around the lines of the fabric feeling the texture when Becca came up to her."Ma'am,someone is here to see you." she said as Kylie picked up the fabric and laid it on the table."Who?" she asked."Rex Monroe." Becca said and Kylie froze. Her heart pounded against her chest. Different thoughts ran through her mind like wildfire.Rex had never been to her office before and she wondered why he came."Send him in here." she said and Becca nodded and within a few seconds, she returned with Rex."Rex." she called out softly in agitation."Don't call my name." he said in annoyance."Leave us." Kylie said gesturing to Becca and she walked away."It's a surprise to..""See me here right? That's what you were about to say huh?" he said giving her a disapproving look."Yes. I never expected to see you here since you didn't tell
Leo got to his lawyer's firm and walked into his office. "It's a good thing I took the papers to the inspector today." Leo said to him as they shook hands. That was why Leo could rush over to his place.Mr Tony sat back on his swivelling chair. "Let me see the papers." He said to him.Leo handed the court papers to him and Tony went through it. He looked at Leo."This is fake Leo." He said to him and Leo stared at him in shock."What are you saying?" Leo asked sitting up. "The court order is fake Leo. There isn't going to be any court case between you and this woman." He said to her.Leo stared at him in disbelief. "But I went to the address. I got the phone number of the lawyer who issued it." Leo said to him."And have you given him a call?" Tony asked him. Leo shook his head."Why I wanted his number was to get Sheila's mom address but I met her on my way back home." Leo explained."Call him now." Tony told him.Leo pulled out his phone and called the lawyer placing him on speaker.
Sheila's so called mother did not stop coming to the house and when Leo made it known to the securities never to let her in,she threatened to deal severely with them and within weeks,a court letter arrived at the doorstep of the Michaelson's.Kylie could hardly believe it when she read the letter with Leo and Sheila's questioning too was making think so much that this letter was the final straw that made her completely distraught."What do we do Leo?" She asked him.He folded the letter. "I'll get in contact with my lawyer. If this is what she wants then she should be able to face what's coming. I'll never let Sheila go with her." He said."What if she wins the case? What will we do?" She asked him."Have a little faith in your husband Kylie, I'll not let that happen. We have every right to Sheila." He said."But she's the birth mother!" Kylie exclaimed worriedly and looked around hoping the kids weren't there to hear her outburst. She won't be able to hide it forever. Someday she'd t
**Five years later**"Mom!" Derrick called out loud and Kylie was forced to close her laptop the instant the five years walked into the room, matched up to her with a scowl on his face. He'd been yelling for her through the hallway."What is it sweetie?" She asked him ruffling his brown hair. This was the product of the fruit that had been inside of her six years ago."It's Sheila. She doesn't want to play with me." He complained."What do you mean?" She asked him."She's busy with her princesses coloring book and says she won't play with me until she's done." He said still pouting.Kylie forced herself not to roll her eyes. He was fond of getting upset over little or meaningless things."Well why don't you wait for uh?" She asked him."But I want to play make believe with her now!" He whined and began to throw a tantrum. She could barely handle him. Leo was the one perfect with handling him when he begins to throw fits. Just like the one he's doing now."Alright listen to me," She sa
The rays of the early morning sun filtered into the room and awaking the lovers who had spent passionate hours together.Kylie was the first to wake up and as she did,she stared at Leo still asleep. She watched his steady breathing and his face. Yes she loved him very much and she wasn't going to pretend. She wanted to remain like this forever with him.She wished she could resay her marriage vows to him and this time she'd mean every word of it. Not because she was forced to marry him but because her heart called out for him. This could be the best thing her mother had ever done for her and for the first time, she was grateful to her for it.She placed her lips on his for a quick kiss and then head to the bathroom. As she turned away to leave after kissing him,he pulled her back to him and she gasped."You wanna leave me here hm?" He asked her with half closed eyes."Good morning,I thought you were sleeping." She said to him with a smile."Well that kiss is surely a good way to start
Kylie watched Leo from the pantry door as he played with Sheila in the living room. It was a lovely sight to see and this time she knew in her heart that she wanted this man. It's been weeks and she could not deny that the feelings were growing stronger daily. She wanted her world wrapped around him and his with hers. She wanted to stay here and she knew it was going to be possible if she accepts it to be. Hell, she was going to accept it. She was going to stay here. No one could love her and Sheila like he does."Why don't you join them dear. I'll finish up here with Patricia." Agnes said to her watching the way she looked at Leo and her daughter.Kylie shook her head. "No no. I'll finish up here first." She said to her.Agnes smiled. "It's becoming less of a burden seeing him around now hm?" She asked and Kylie walked back to her and smiled back as she handed the bag of flour to her."Not a single burden at all." She said to her."Finally, it's all falling in one piece." She said and
For days Kylie could not get the events that happened with her and Rex out of her mind. For him to still be out there uncaught made her worry the more. What if he tries such act again? But then, there was Leo who had hired her a bodyguard. She'd been against it but still he did not relent. He did what he thought was best for her. Here she was resuming her work again and still unable to concentrate. Her thoughts divided from the files in front of her. It was her continuous racing heart whenever she was around Leo that was beginning to alarm her. What was it with him that made her have butterflies in her stomach and made her knees weak. Was it his touch or the way he looked at her with loving eyes these days? What was going on in his mind? she wondered. All of a sudden she lost interest in work and wanted to go home. She wanted to be with her little daughter who was growing bigger by the day. She wanted to have a little day out with her. She needed to bond with her just a
Kylie was grateful to Leo for coming to get her as he wrapped his jacket around her to cover her bare skin. She was literally shaken from what just happened. Shaken that Rex could be this cruel to her.As they drove home with the police car behind them Leo held Kylie close to himself at the backseat of the car while Oliver took the wheels. She sank deeper into Leo's body as she found comfort in them.Leo was thankful to Oliver for coming along with him. He'd not wanted to get anyone killed but when it came to that, Oliver had got that covered for him. Killing the three men they encountered before he got to Kylie. The drive home was a silent and torturous one for Kylie. She wanted to speak. Vent out her anger and hurt about Rex but she kept quiet about it instead and stayed in Leo's arms till they got to her parents place. As Oliver parked the car and stepped out,Leo stepped out with Kylie too and together they walked into the house.Carina screamed
Kylie was panicking as she was blindfolded and roughly towed along towards God knows where. All she could feel underneath her feet was crispy dried leaves but with no knowledge where she was being taken to. She was pushed roughly into a shabby cabin and she gasped when she stumbled, almost falling to the ground.A calloused hand gripped her arm and got her seated on the ground and began tying her up. He tied her hands behind her back and tied her legs together to prevent her from escaping. She whimpered as his fingers bruised her with each roping around her wrists."What do you want from me?" She finally asked finding her voice. "Is it money? Let me go and I'll give you all of it." She said to him.He chuckled. "That would have been a good bargain but someone else is not interested in your money." He said."Who is that person please? What does he want from me?" She asked."You're find out soon." He said to her and just then she heard footste
Leo was seated in the meeting room watching his staffs go on and on about a latest model. He was there with them but his mind wasn't. He was barely listening. He was thinking of the pretty wife at her mother's place. He couldn't wait to leave this meeting and go be with her and enjoy the comfort he was finding in her arms.He was usually grumpy towards his staffs and was always early to the office but recently his staffs had noticed a change in him. A radiant smile on his face every now and then.He was less of a grump now and answered greetings with a smile. They loved this side of him and wanted him to stay that way. They believed it had to do with his marriage."Sir," Lance tapped him."Uh?" He said disoriented as he looked up."You have a call." Lance said to him handing his phone to him.Leo took the phone and stared at the caller ID. Kylie. He should change her name to something sweet and romantic. He almost slapped his head at t
