"Because, in my understanding, if you like someone, your heart should be full of her, and there shouldn't be anyone else."

"You're right."

"But there's something that confuses me," Bryden continued, "I’ve always admired the relationship between you and Emily. But that day when she left our house, I could tell she was very sad and disappointed. On the way home, when we passed by your company, she kept looking out at it. She didn’t say anything, but I could tell from the rearview mirror that she was unhappy. And it was because of you."
