In the aegis of the tree, a duel began between Aesthelia and Gior. That event stirred every wolf's attention. Gior launched at Aesthelias' way, not minding everyone who gasped in shock, and some cheered in excitement.
Alpha Rou, who was shouting in disapproval, was ignored by his son. His heir is fighting with the pack's strongest warrior, and he knows that someone would have to end up in a bad state. None of them, Alpha Rou, wishes to die or get injured.
Everything happened in a flash, in the blink of an eye. Gior, who was almost two meters away from Aesthelia, managed to close the distance between them in a matter of seconds. Gior raised his sword and swung.
"Woah chill," Aesthelia said, surprised and in a calm way.
Aesthelia, who managed to grasp the situation at the last second, defended herself with her still seathed sword from the attack. She planned to withdraw from the duel, but she could not even have time to speak up without Gior attacking her.
'Is he really planning to kill me?' Aesthelie thought as she tightened her defense. He lunged as if he was aiming towards Aesthelia's neck, as if he was going in for the kill.
"Is that all you got? The strongest warrior," Gior spat mockingly. He smirked when he saw how Aesthelia’s reaction turned into an angry bull.
Their swords create a loud clashing sound, echoing through and silencing the crowd. It surprised Aesthelia that she could match Gior's attacks and that her current body felt lighter than her original body.
"You aren't quite the gentleman the book portrays you to be," Aesthelia mumbled, trying to strengthen her knees so they wouldn't give out.
"I think you're forgetting that you're fighting with a girl, with that allout strength," Aesthelia said in disbelief this time. Even if Gior was trying to insult her. Aesthelia can not find herself talking back with the same amount of hatred that the guy has against her.
Aesthelia knows that werewolf communities do not usually apply some norms and laws that humans have, including some treatment. They believe that everyone is equal on the battlefield, everyone is trained, whether it's a woman or a man. If the two parties are equally strong, then that's it.
"You've done enough, Aesthelia. You can't have me respect you just because you want to," Gior spat, gritting his teeth.
Aesthelia was caught off guard because of his word. The way he delivered it with immeasurable hatred made her stop in her tracks. The way his gaze turns deadly sharp as soon as the word leaves his mouth. She can't help but stare and try to figure out what it is.
"What did I do?" Aesthelia asked. She couldn't help it, but that question only made Gior angrier.
"You know what you did." Gior answered vaguely.
"What do you mean?" Aesthelia wondered what was behind that gaze, what was hiding behind those emotions, as if there was something important which was not mentioned in the story.
Aesthelia was puzzled.
"Pay more attention," Gior said.
"You leave me no choice but to end this quickly and leave you barely breathing," Gior commented, which snapped Aesthelia back to reality as Gior released another small dagger from his side pocket.
Aesthelia pulled her sheathed sword as she dodged backwards, avoiding his possible attacks and making some space between them at the same time. She sat in a squatting manner.
Aesthelia touched her right cheeks where it stung. There's blood. It seems that the dagger wounded her face. She just hopes it's not seriously big enough to ruin her face.
"That's a cheaty move," Aesthelia commented as she didn't anticipate that sneaky attack. She decided to surrender unharmed, but it's too late for that now.
"We call it strategy," Gior reasoned out and added, "It's not like I am the one who zoned out in the middle of the fight, leaving yourself vulnerable in front of the opponent."
"You know what? You talk too much for a guy, " Aesthelia wasn't in the mood to be lectured.
"I'm described quite the opposite of that," Gior replied.
"You draw the first blood," Aesthelia said as she finally unseathed her sword. It's a good thing that the real Aesthelia has an extreme passion when it comes to training. Now the current Aesthelia can move the way she learnt to fence in the original world where she belonged.
"All you do is create chaos. You should blame yourself that I did," Gior said. He refused to feel guilty at the sight of Aesthelia's bleeding cheeks.
Aesthelia can not find herself to disagree. The real Aesthelia was really a pain in everyone's ass, but why did she do this to become this unfortunate? transmigrating to a novel, becoming a supporting character who will die.
"Oh really? You run your mouth too much, "Aesthelia said, annoyed. Aesthelia supports the male lead character too much, but having this kind of conversation with him right now is something that snaps Aesthelia's patience low.
Aesthelia was trying to concentrate and observe her surroundings, although the crowd was not helping. She's trying to think of a way to make the heir surrender.
Gior raises his sword high again to attack, and Aesthelia, who was expecting the attack pattern, manages to counterattack it by having the sword low and crossing with enough strength.
It appears that Gior only uses a one-pattern style when it comes to swords. Werewolves weren't really fond of weapons, and Aesthelia concluded that if she could catch him off guard and send the weapon out of his reach, she could defeat him without hurting him.
Aesthelia observed silently. She noticed that Gior's movements were getting slow compared with the way he struck first, and she detected that he was breathing heavily. The panting sound can be heard with a werewolf's super hearing ability.
Upon noticing something was wrong, Aesthelia pushed. She managed to make Gior take a step backwards and become unbalanced. Then, she took the time to observe the sword that was handed to her. It's common to make swords out of metal and steel, but it's uncommon for one to be made out of silver, which falls under the category of soft metals. If the sword was heavy, that might be the reason, but Aesthelia noticed a small amount of silver in it.
Silver is the werewolf's weakness. It burns their kind. It is something forbidden in the territory, so how come there are swords here?
Aesthelia's eyes widened in realization. The story mentioned the treaty between the empire and werewolves, but the conditions weren't specifically mentioned. Weapons such as swords were given by the empire.
Aesthelia remained standing and on guard as she saw Gior approaching with heavy steps, and his hand loosened its hold on the sword.
"Listen, Gior. Drop the sword. It has silver in it, " Aesthelia said, dead-ass serious. The silver might be in the pommel and grip part of the sword.
"What makes you think that I would listen?" Gior responded coldly. He gripped it harder as he misunderstands Aesthelia's intention. He can't be defeated.
"You should listen before I make you," Aesthelia said confidently.
She jumped at the opportunity to strike Gior's sword before the silver in it totally disabled him, sending the sword flying through the air, surprising everyone. As the sword sailed through the air and pierced the ground, the throng dispersed.
"I told you," Aesthelia said, but not in an arrogant way. She grabbed the scabbard and put back the sword.
Gior's eyebrow furrowed and he gritted his teeth as Aesthelia turned her back on him, as if she was having a fight with a kid and not taking seriously.
The audience thinks that the female warrior has just defeated the alpha's heir, but that is only what it looks like because the fight is not over, not yet.
"Don't dare to turn your back on me," Gior growled menacingly.
Aesthelia shrugged her shoulder as she tried to return the sword to whoever was closest. When she heard another growl, she was about to step outside the circle.
Aesthelia returned her gaze to Gior, her eyes widening as he fully shifted into his wolf form. The wolf form she sees now is far larger than the one she saw before. Its black fur glistened with an obvious gleam. It's an alpha, so it is no surprise that it appears to be in power when compared to others.
Gior's wolf roared and sprang at Aesthelia with ferocious fury. It is a duel and their honor is at stake. And to see Aesthelia, she is someone who constantly annoys him by meddling with the woman he cherishes, Merideth. It doesn't sit well with Gior.
Aesthelia collapsed onto her back, the wolf in front of her snarling menacingly. Her shoulder had been pushed hard by the claws. As blood spurted from the wound, Aesthelia flinched in anguish.
"Get off!" Aesthelia screamed, trying to fight off the wolf's weight, but to no avail. She is weaker right now compared to a fully transformed wolf.
"Transform into your wolf. The fight isn't over, "Gior telepathically said, because they can't speak in wolf form. The wolf spirit is taking over the body, so it is unable to say anything.
The audience was only watching from the sidelines, puzzled as to why Aesthelia had not yet transformed into her wolf.
Aesthelia tried kicking the wolf's stomach with all the strength left, but it wouldn't budge. It is no use. The wolf was holding her down with his claws in her shoulders and neck.
Aesthelia gripped tightly onto the wolf's feet, and she managed to lift it inches away from her. Aesthelia struggled as Gior kept pressing on the same wound. The guy was determined to have Aesthelia submit to him.
Until Alpha Rou decided to intervene and bring the duel to a close. He can not let his strongest prominent warrior perish. It will have an impact on the pack. Gior's wolf form turned to him and snarled warningly before he could even approach halfway.
"You need to calm yourself down, Gior," Alpha Rou called his son, tried to calm him. If he has to use his alpha voice, he will.
"Gior! Please halt! You're killing her!" Merideth intervened. She's crying from the sight of blood.
Gior's eyes changed back to normal upon hearing the voices of the people he cherished. He backed away from Aesthelia and transformed back to his human form. He stood there bare naked and proud.
"Consider yourself lucky," Gior stated, as he masked his emotion. He felt his chest become heavier as the thought of killing Aesthelia crossed his mind. He thought she deserved it, but somewhere in his guts disagreed with that.
The crowd fell silent at the turn of events. They are in disbelief after witnessing Aesthelia's defeat. Nobody defeated Aesthelia before, but now there's someone.
"You're all dismissed. The assembly ends here. Go back to your duties, "Alpha Rou announced immediately.
Aesthelia coughed aggressively for air. She was strangled just a moment ago. At that moment, she realized that the pain was real and she could feel it. The fear clouded her mind as a series of questions flooded in. What if she can't change her fate? What was the reason for all of this, then?
"She got defeated after being so cocky about it. It's no fun, "Lily said, popping out of nowhere. She looks bored somehow.
"Hey! You need to be treated quickly. You'll lose lots of blood, "Antoinette worriedly said to Aesthelia.
Aesthelia snapped back to reality when she heard Antoinette's panic voice. Her shoulder felt like it was ripped and torn, and she felt like vomiting from the pool of blood that surrounded her.
"You said it yourself, Antoinette. My wolf is a healer, "Aesthelia replied with a small smile, even though she knew that she couldn't summon her wolf.
"Let's leave her alone. I think she wants that, " Senia said as she stared apologetically at Aesthelia.
Aesthelia finds herself looking back at Gior's, who is well-dressed now. He looked down at Aesthelia, and he was about to say something when someone approached him.
Merideth ran to Gior's arms, which caused Aesthelia to turn her sway from the scene. She felt an unfamiliar feeling building up in her chest.
It seems like jealousy or something. Aesthelia hissed in pain when she unconsciously touched her shoulder. She is still in a sitting position.
"Aesthelia, your father wouldn't like to hear this kind of trouble." Alpha Rou said it straight to the point.
"If you knew, why did you approve the duel?" Aesthelia inquired, perplexed as to why she was blaming herself for everything.
"I didn't expect that my son would jump in," Alpha Rou said truthfully. He doesn't look guilty at all.
"You don't want your son in the duel but it's alright with you if I battled with Merideth?" Aesthelia asked in disbelief. She was trying to understand what the Alpha wanted.
"I just thought that it would be a perfect time to push Merideth to her limits and finally summom her wolf," Alpha Rou said truthfully without hesitation. He didn't blink or anything, like he just blurted out something normal and understandable.
"What? You could've informed me if you had that in mind, "Aesthelia said, half screaming. It sounded like she was used to forcefully push the late-bloomer to summon a wolf spirit. That sounded a bad idea to her.
"I said enough. Heal yourself before your father storms in here, "Alpha Rou's last word before he stormed out.
Aesthelia found herself rolling her eyes in irritation. She doesn't even know what the real Aesthelia's father was like. The event was too much for her. It all happened on the first day, and now she had to worry about Aesthelia's father.
"Aesthelia Rasc," Gior called out in his authoritative voice, and was still holding Merideth close to him. Everyone left except for these two.
"Don't come near Merideth. Do anything that will harm her. We will see what happens to you. That's an order, mark my word," Gior said warningly.
It took a couple of seconds before Aesthelia nodded, agreeing with Gior. Aesthelia didn't know she was holding her breath until everyone walked away, leaving her alone in the training ground.
Aesthelia fell on her back. The wound on her shoulder was still bleeding, but she paid it no mind as she stared at the tree of aegis.
Aesthelia closed her eyes, intending to inhale some fresh air and rest before returning to the infirmary. It had been a while since she felt this exhausted. At that moment, she feels like she's on vacation in her grandmother's hometown instead of being inside a book's pages. She felt herself relaxing on the cold, hard training ground until the darkness engulfed her mind. She only wants to return to her original world. She fell unconscious.
Aesthelia's eyes flutter open. Her eyes roam around the place to examine the surroundings. Once again, she woke up and was greeted by another unfamiliar place. This time, it was not the infirmary or her room. She noticed that the room she was currently in was rather simple and wooden. She wondered if she had transmigrated into another story she had read before. She just wishes that's not the case. Good thing there was a small mirror at the side table wherein she checked her reflection. She breathed heavily. "What time is it?" Aesthelia wonders aloud. She immediately sat up straight when she remembered she had been knocked unconscious the last time on the training ground. Aesthelia flinched as the pain struck her shoulder, as if the wounds were reopening because of that sudden movement. "Ouch." Aesthelia touches her shoulder and notices that someone has put a bandage on it. A red liquid began soaking the bandage. "I should'v
Aesthelia blinks a couple of times before she gets used to the light that comes from the torch. It had been an hour after she was dragged by the sentinels to be locked up. Aesthelia sat quietly in the corner of the cellar all alone. The underground dungeon she was locked in stank with the scent of blood and dirt. Aesthelia hums to distract herself from thinking of something that she fears will scare her in the dark. She has not been fond of darkness ever since she was a child. She tried closing her eyes, but whenever she did, images flashed through her mind. It looks vivid and terrible. Aesthelia wonders if it's the old Aesthelia's memories, but it looks like nothing of today's reality but a nightmare. The images show wolves bathing in their own blood and many more scenarios. They flash through her mind fast. The images caused her discomfort and fear for an unknown reason. They are currently the most powerful compared to any other superna
Aesthelia was struggling in her sleep when two hands grabbed her cheeks. Trying to soothe her out of her nightmare. "It's alright. It was just a dream, a nightmare. " A comforting voice said. "I'm here," Flo assured her. His soft voice woke Aesthelia up. He quickly helped her sit, and patted her back. Aesthelia panted heavily as her eyes fluttered open. She's sweating real bad. Aesthelia looked around her surroundings. Her eyes landed on the cellar in front of her. The cellar where the old man was locked in, ever since that night when the old man was dragged out by the guards. He never came back. Aesthelia choked in her sobs as she imagined what might possibly have happened to that tortured man. "Are you alright?" "I shouldn't have let that bastard do this to you," Flo said in a shaky voice, seeing Aesthelia in this state. He couldn't maintain a steady posture. Whether he shakes in worry o
Aesthelia looked stunned at the sight before her. The worried voices of servants echoed through the air. Mr. Rasc's eyes kept on changing since the wolf spirit was fighting for control. "Get Aesthelia out of my sight, right now," Mr. Rasc's voice changed as he commanded the servants who were idle, watching from the back. He was trying to fight his wolf until Aesthelia was out and safe. "Bring the lady inside now!" Someone from the crowd shouted. Everyone seems to be panicking at this time. "What's going on?" Aesthelia asked desperately. She moves around trying to be released from being tied up until a servant comes to her rescue and quickly unties her wrists. "Let's go. "The servant said in a calm voice. The servant eyes were staring directly at Aesthelia's eyes, and they were filled with concern. "Why?" Aesthelia asked, but the growl became louder this time, which made the servant drag Aesthelia by herself without bein
Aesthelia yawned as she started stretching her arms up. She continuously hears Marie's voice coming outside of her door. Marie has been calling Aesthelia's name multiple times to wake her up without going in. Just hearing the servant's voice, it appears that must be something urgent. Aesthelia blinked a couple of times, adjusting to the sunlight that came from the open window. She remembered she left that window opened to stargaze. When Aesthelia finally felt alright. She quickly walked and opened the door for Marie, who looked annoyed at the time. The hands on her hips and that kind of stare indicate she's about to nag Aesthelia about her tardiness. "I think I woke up pretty earlier than yesterday, right?" Aesthelia smiled before Marie could start scolding her. She tried to convince Marie. Aesthelia has been staying in the R
They were surrounded in a deafening silence. Without being told by someone, some of the werewolves opted to provide some space and change their stance, going to wait in the distance. It appears that everyone is frantically searching Merideth's whereabout. That's why they look anxious, though they didn't care earlier. If it wasn't for Aesthelia, Merideth could be in real danger. Aesthelia relaxed after some time. She was so tensed and nervous when she heard the grasses rustled earlier. She thought that it was the two guy who were in here, the two prisoners who escaped. "You guys came just in time," Aesthelia uttered. She can't carry Merideth all alone, and she doesn't know the path way back to the training ground or so. Aesthelia flinched when she found Gior's wolf form glaring down at her. An aura surrounds the place; it seems that the alpha is releasing it. 'What was that?' Aesthelia mentally asked as she was trying not to f
The footsteps and sound of crickets are the only thing that can be heard in the area. Flo led both of them to a secluded spot to have a talk.Flo can easily pick up something, and his intuition says something is up. He's an intelligent wolf, after all.Aesthelia quietly followed after Flo. She felt like a child who was about to be scolded. They stopped when Flo couldn't detect any presence, since the sentinels usually patrol the territory."What happened? Why did you get demoted as an omega? " Flo didn't waste any seconds and asked straight forward. His eyes show how much he worries about it.It's worst than being locked up for three days. Everyone knows how bad it is to be demoted to the lower tier. That's why every trainee takes their training seriously; they can't perform poorly on their ranking score."Well, haven't you heard that it's about Merideth?" Aesthelia question. Aesthelia wonders how they would portray her in t
Since the day she discovered the hidden safety locker, Aesthelia has been wandering around the mansion every night, desperately trying to find another hint and some strange things that might actually benefit her. She's hoping for such a diary to appear out of nowhere. She examined in every corners of her room for something like the key. Everything else on the floor belonged to her. As either a result, the key must be concealed somewhere. Aesthelia was startled by a knock. When Aesthelia realized it was already morning, she gasped. She didn't get any sleep. Aesthelia quickly did what needed to be done, and the next thing she knew, she was in the carriage on her way to meet the high-ranking wolves. Days had already passed when she was demoted to omega rank, well, temporarily. The hearing was delayed so many times that it got to the point where Aesthelia received harsh treatment and even death threats each day. It's interesting how quickly those people s
They stood there in silence. No one dared utter a single word. They were waiting for someone to break that silence.Gior was staring at Aesthelia. It had been so long since the last time he stared at that beauty. He lasted a year and it killed him, but now, he could feel himself tearing up in happiness as he once again met her and was reminded by her face. He did not forget her. Gior smiled as he laid his arms wide open, waiting for a warm hug from Aesthelia. Even though they were two Aesthelia, he recognized the one that he had come to love and the one who transmigrated into their world.Aesthelia, who got teary-eyed, rushed over to Gior and asked, "How did you get here?""Love finds its way," Gior answered vaguely as he kissed her forehead. The one thing he always imagined he must have done, he always regretted how he didn't cherish her."I thought that the Alpha wouldn't change," The other Aesthelia stepped up with her arms crossed, and when she noticed that all eyes were on her, s
Gior felt himself falling from an average height, which caused the pain he was experiencing to lessen. The portal appears to be hanging in the air. The shivering cold air seized control of the burns he was already feeling.Gior attempted to close his eyes in order to concentrate on shifting, but to no avail. He found it impossible. Gior plummeted to the ground face first in a couple of seconds before he can even even think of a solution. He quickly raised to his feet and massaged his nose. The mud on his clothing was brushed off. His wandering gaze discovered him encircled by tall trees. After him, there was another deafening thud.Gior asked with wide eyes, "What were you guys thinking by following me here? Do you guys know how dangerous it is?"Without really caring about the enraged Alpha, Flo assisted Marie in getting to her feet and checked on his mate. He turned his head to face the Alpha after making sure Marie was in fact fine and had no scratches."Let me ask you, Alpha, what
The relationship between humanity and supernatural creatures has greatly improved. Each person has a certain task to complete. Despite the setbacks, they are driven to continue living. Despite the fact that the werewolves had nothing to do with the humans, the war was won. They offered to assist in relocating the bodies and properly buried them. countless unforeseen tragedies.Time flew by.And after a year, the empires that were on the edge of collapsing from the vampires' attempts at oppression are now little by little recovering from the casualties caused by the war. Everyone is in a state of grief for the losses, but they know that sooner or later they have to embrace everything that happened. The empire that was once sparkling with elegance was left as an abandoned and hunted castle. No one dared to stay in it as it reminded them of how tragic it was last year. The survivors once again built new infrastructure and repaired what was destroyed. The supernatural beings who were hidi
The strategic defense of Aesthelia is like an iron wall. No vampires could pass through, and by the time Aesthelia decided to go—it started crumbling a little. The absence of a strategist made the team hesitate."Keep pushing, warriors!" Flo shouted, which made everyone snap out of it. He took over coaching immediately.Flo quickly stood on his feet as he transformed back. As a beta, it is his obligation to lead. "Do as he says," Marie commanded her fellow-humans.Marie grabbed the sword. She was about to go, to protect her lady, but Flo intervened and said, "Marie, snap out of it." When Flo touches Marie, a flash of spark flows through him. He knew at that moment that Marie was his mate. The sudden realization took him seconds as his eyes drowned deep in his own mate's eyes. He momentarily forgot the situation they were in— not until Marie struggled to get out of his touch."Aesthelia has the blessing." She can defeat him. " Flo stated, and he added, "You are much needed here to k
Aesthelia collided with Gior's arm. That is when they clearly felt the spark when their skin touched. It only means they are fated to be mates—mates with an uncontrollable bond. Gior snapped out of his anger. He became relaxed under Aesthelia's touch, and he almost lost all of his reasoning earlier when he saw Aesthelia's being injured and just mindlessly attacked. This is the first time Aesthelia realized it. Now that explains why Aesthelia shows that behavior. The hostility against Merideth, how her wolf disappeared, and why her emotions are affected by anything that involves Gior."We are mates?" Aesthelia asked in confusion. However, Aesthelia already knew the answer. "Yes." Gior said, straight-staring at her eyes. His eyes became soft; the relentlessness that he felt vanished in an instant."What a sweet reunion that you have forgotten about me," The vampire king muttered amused while clapping his hands, trying to gain everyone's attention. "How can I forget about you?""When
The more her breath hitches, the more her heart beats. Lurking inside the enemy's dangerous teritorry can be nerve-wrecking and terrifying. Aesthelia felt like she will bath on her own nervous sweat. She wanted to ignore how her knee trembled for a second when the vampire stared down at her earlier—she felt as if the vampire could have snapped her neck in a minute. The eyes of predators who carefully observe their prey's movements are far scarier than any horror films she has seen."The difference is—I am one of the people who's on the death list now." Aesthelia was lost in her own thoughts. She voiced them out with a sadder-chuckling tone. At least Merideth is with them right now. They can get closer and interrogate the vampire to plan the escape. Aesthelia can relax, but she remains vigilant—a traitor who has betrayed you once can betray you again. For some time, Elliot managed to walk little by little until he could perfectly walk without limping. Aesthelia's worry is reduced. "
There's no window, no light, and nowhere to escape to, except the tunnel. There is an escape route, but there is a high chance that they will end up in the ocean and drown.Aesthelia stayed hidden unbelievably for at least two days, waiting for Elliot's recovery along with Custos', who had exhausted his mana to its limit.Goodthing. The vampires didn't seem to eagerly check the underground, or else they'd die without much fight. The smell of dried blood of deceased prisoners masked Aesthelia's and Elliot's scents. The awful and wrenching smell helped them, even though it made Aesthelia vomit. It seems the situation made her overcome her fear of blood. She doesn't have much choice at this point."AGH…" Elliot groaned in pain as he was slowly gaining consciousness.Aesthelia swiftly goes to Elliot's side to assist him. "W-where am I?" Elliot asked worriedly. He's unable to get up and his visions are out. "We're hiding in the underground dungeon." "We are safe for now, but I don't kno
The gathering took place at the pack house. They are getting ready by informing every warrior wolf, even the wolves who are not yet trained, want to participate and protect their pack. The quiet and serious vibe going around was interrupted when human servants came running and barging. She's demanding for an answer."What do you mean, Aesthelia didn't come back with you?" Marie questioned the wolf who happened to go with the mission. She grabbed him by the clothes near his collar. Her strength seemed to match the wolf's. Marie just got the news of their arrival and came running as if her life was at stake. Aesthelia was like Marie's family. She lived most of her life taking care of Aesthelia and dedicated her life to Aesthelia's safety."Third-in-Command Aesthelia escorted us as soon as we were within the shield. She dashed off and disappeared. " A warrior wolf said patiently with more details. The disruption caught almost everyone's attention, including the higher wolves and the a
The sense of impending doom had vanished. Gior found himself panting as he attempted to awaken from a deep slumber. His wounds still cause him some discomfort.Unlike the grass and rough stone where he had fallen while unwittingly fighting a vampire, the bed where he was presently felt soft. The memories of the recent fight came crashing into him as soon as he recalled the bloodsucking creature—one more deep breath as he sat up with sweat flowing all over his body. "W-where am I?" He asked in a hoarse voice. His throat became dry, rendering him unable to speak. His eyes scanned the familiar ceiling and everything. It looks like they've gone back to the pack, at least that's what he thought. It means that they successfully completed the mission, which solved the pack storage shortage. "The Alpha is awake!" As soon as she saw Gior move, the salutary announced. A couple of howls soon followed, and they can be heard outside of the place. The werewolves who were terrified and heartbroken
