Davis's POV

Harry had refused to let us go to the hospital to visit Margaret as planned, so we had to wait till she was discharged from the hospital. I don't know why I feel that Grace had asked Harry to stop me from leaving. They have been doing a lot of things together lately.

While Grace had become so close to the couple, Helen had drawn so close to baby Helen as well. They had all left me to my fate.

It didn't take long when Margaret was discharged, Vincent and Adrianna were finally home. According to Vincent, she had been requesting to speak with me.

The very minute she stepped into the house, I was in the bar when I heard her say,

“Where is Davis, you said I'll get to see him once I get here. Where is he?”

I walked over to the living room with a glass of drink in my hand. When she saw me, she tried to stand, but I refused her.

“The doctor said you need all the rest you can get, so do not try to stand up”
