POV: AARON

I dragged the last wolf, who no longer had the strength to scream or beg, his fur soaked with tears. I impaled him directly, taking my time, and looked at each lifeless body with complete satisfaction. The Beta stood nearby, visibly shaken, his eyes darting toward the blind wolf as he frowned. He cautiously approached me, speaking carefully:

“My Alpha, forgive my bluntness… Is all this because of the blind wolf?”

Grabbing him, I slammed him against the stakes and roared furiously in his face, blood dripping from his nose and eyes.

“This is about everyone knowing they cannot stand against my power. My enemies will fall—choose your side wisely, Beta!” I threw him forcefully against the city gates. “Callie!”

“Y-yes, my king,” she stammered, trembling.

“See what is done to enemies!” I commanded, towering over her. Confused, she turned her snout toward me.

“What?” she asked, surprised.

“Shift into your human form and feel the lifeless bodies of those who hurt you so deeply!” I g

I insisted on accompanying the Alpha to the prisoners’ cell; in some way, I felt safe by his side. His power felt like an unbreakable protective shield!Following his scent, I was surprised when he casually and simply asked about the three wolves. It took me a few seconds to realize who the Lycan King was referring to. Shocked, I lifted my snout in his direction before moving ahead, sniffing toward the guards who had abused me and taken pleasure in tormenting me night after night. Haven’t you heard of it?” he growled, amused. “How much of life have they deprived you of?”“Enough to forget that this stuff stings the eyes,” I replied, desperately trying to wave away the burning sensation.“Let me see,” the Alpha said, pulling me closer and blowing gently into my eyes, easing the discomfort. His scent began to shift, becoming more predatory. “It’s hard to be naked around you without having… wicked thoughts.”I reached out, tracing his face with my fingers, outlining his lips where a mischievous, crooked smile seemed to play. My hands moved higher, caressing his wet skin until something prickly grazed my fingers. Reflexively, I pulled back, but he caught my hands and pressed them against his face.“It’s p

Callie’s innocence, her intoxicating reactions, the way her eyes seemed to find me even though she couldn’t see—everything about her was driving me insane. I needed to feel her body.My wolf growled compulsively. Her presence against my skin almost made me lose control, pulling me toward her. But I knew the little wolf wasn’t ready for something like that yet. I was losing focus. I needed to uncover the reasons why the goddess intertwined our paths, guiding me to her. What were these visions, and how could I control them? If they were real, they would be a powerful advantage against my enemies. A wolf capable of foreseeing her enemies’ next moves was an undeniable asset. I growled in frustration, longing for her hands to be on me, wrapped around my need.Shaking my head, I realized I was straying again from my main goal: discovering whether the blind she-wolf had supernatural powers to f

I want you to be her personal attendant, meeting her needs whenever she requires. Understood?”“Yes, my king. It will be a pleasure to attend to your guest’s needs!” Nicoly nodded formally, then approached the blind she-wolf, filling her plate with food.“One more thing, Nicoly—I don’t want anyone mistreating her or allowing other staff to do so. They won’t like what happens if they go against my orders!”The young girl nearly spilled juice on Callie out of nervousness, but the she-wolf reac

POV: CALLIE“It wouldn’t be wise to play with me like this; the pack might interpret it the wrong way,” I said, gripping the utensils in my hands tightly. The truth was, I didn’t know how to handle his games—they were a different kind of torture that stirred up very confusing feelings.“What kind of interpretation are you suggesting, little wolf?” His voice resonated, deep and seductive, making my wolf growl in response. The liquid the Alpha drank carried a sweet, alcoholic aroma. He paused with the glass in hand and growled predatory. “Wolf, wolf, wolf… Don’t tempt me by exhaling that scent like this.”I bit my lip hard, nervously fiddling with a strand of hair. Something deep within me throbbed with an unfamiliar yearning. Memories of our recent shower together surfaced, reminding me of the explosion of confusing pleasures I had felt. This time, I heard his graceful movement toward me. One hand rested lightly on my knee while the other caressed my neck.“You’re playing with fire, bl

Don’t be foolish enough to keep getting hurt.”My heart raced as he touched the area gently. His finger traced the line of my face, tilting my chin upward.“Do you understand?” Aaron demanded authoritatively.I only nodded. As he stepped away, and we resumed walking, I sniffed the air and recognized the scent. It was the same place where Kemilly had taken me to train for the mutation… and also where she had attacked me numerous times! The overpowering smell of fresh blood was almost tangible, sickeningly strong, making my stomach churn. I rubbed my nose with the back of my hand, trying to lessen the discomfort.“Lycan King, thank you for coming!&rdquo

It felt like a thousand blades were stabbing into my back and ribs. But I knew—I had to survive.I started running, darting beneath Hunter’s legs as he roared in fury, reaching out to grab me. I chased after the torn ribbon as if my life depended on it—because it did.Hunter was relentless, bloodthirsty, whistling coldly as he pursued me.“I’m going to catch you, prey!” he laughed through his fangs.I leaped, grasping the broken ribbon and merging it with the other just as Hunter seized my leg, trying to drag me back. The memories fused together, freezing the world around me. Can you see?”There was surprise in his tone.I looked again at the wounded she-wolf on the ground, feeling the ferocity of my beast stir at the sight of her—injured, cowering, trembling, and threatened.Hunter grabbed my hair roughly, yanking me toward him with a sharp breath.“How are you doing this?” he snarled through his fangs.“Don’t touch me!” I growled, my claws extending as I slashed at him the moment he let go. It's only a matter of time before Nocturnus enters the city,” Lyra said.“But the wolves stopped, afraid to follow us here.” I commented, still in shock.“Even werewolves fear ghosts, especially powerful ones,” Yulli laughed, amused. “But that doesn’t apply to creatures controlled by Nocturnus.”“I…” I bit my lip, nervous. “I don’t want to lose my wolf. She’s part of who I am.”I didn’t want to admit out loud that I wasn’t just afraid of losing my wolf—I also feared never having him in my dreams again. Who the hell are you calling a rat?” Jaxon lunged toward him but stopped when Keenan lifted his head, meeting his gaze with icy indifference.“Forget it. If this is what the council wants and the Supreme Alpha’s decision, then take my place, and I’ll take yours.”“You will not!” The Supreme Beta’s threatening roar startled everyone—except me. Watching this power struggle was a pleasure; it allowed me to gauge the strength of my warriors within the pack.“If you can’t even handle simple management tasks and the protection of the Lycan King, what makes you think you’re capable of leading a central city?”

POV: AARONAfter the full moon, the city finally settled. The wolf howls faded, and the stillness of the night took over. Callie fell asleep in my arms, her body completely relaxing. Carefully, I carried her inside, laying her gently on the bed. I sank down beside her, running my fingers tenderly through her hair. I was exhausted, but a crooked smile formed on my lips as I looked at her. Furthermore, I truly wanted to care for and protect this wolf and her child.“Ours…” I corrected myself automatically, furrowing my brow at my own reaction. The word echoed in my mind.I stretched out my hand, hesitating for a moment before placing it on her belly. Leaning in, I tried to listen for the tiny, strong heartbeat inside her. A sudden kick met my touch, and I couldn’t help but smile—a genuine, admiring smile.“You’re already strong, little one. Are you trying to protect your mo

POV: CALLIEAaron stroked my hair while another movie played on the TV. Out of curiosity, I reached out to feel its shape, yawning despite my efforts to resist exhaustion, afraid that the dark god would be waiting for me there.“You know you'll have to sleep at some point,” the Alpha murmured, his voice slightly drowsy. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll be there with you.”“Even so, I’m not ready to face him,” I admitted, tracing my fingers idly across his bare chest, the tips tingling against his warm, smooth skin.“You don’t have to face him, little wolf. Leave the battles to me,” Aaron pressed a lingering kiss to the top of my head.“You’re exhausted too. And I don’t want to depend on anyone when it comes to battle…” I sighed, sitting up in bed. “I need to get stronger for Rigan.”

POV: AARONI asked the cook to make a homemade pizza. Honestly, it had been a while since I had eaten something like that too. It seemed like a great excuse and opportunity for a moment with Callie. I pulled her into my arms, wrinkling my nose at the TV screen, where the movie title stood out: “A Love Beyond Life.”I had never watched romantic movies, not even when past girlfriends asked me to go to the movies. Furthermore, I always preferred horror films… Maybe because I was used to a harsh life filled with battles.“You seem hesitant.” Callie whispered, settling her back against my chest, giving me a tempting view of her bare body. I bit my lips and pulled the sheet over her, knowing that otherwise I wouldn't be able to focus on any movie.“If you want, I can get dressed,” she offered.“And miss the chance to admire you from time to time? POV: CALLIEI felt strange, a latent voracity burning inside my chest. I entered the bathroom, panting, letting out occasional growls, and smirked, feeling oddly pleased.“Wolf, you’re back?” I murmured to my inner beast, who grunted in response. “Did you really have to return like this? We’re trying to avoid the Alpha, not become his.”My wolf protested in my mind, her presence laced with lust, restless within my chest. I felt a significant improvement below my belly, as if she were working to protect our pup with her healing power. The sensation stirred the baby awake, making him kick excitedly, as if he recognized my beast’s return.“Thank you for coming back.” I placed my hand over my chest, clenching it into a fist. “I was afraid without you… Nocturnus reached us in a dream. I fear sleeping.”In my mind, my wolf appr
