POV: AARON

“Of course, my king.” Callie replied, her voice still laced with fear.

It was the first time I had lost control of my mind, acting purely on instinct. For us wolves, desires were far more intense—we could smell the pheromones, irresistibly drawn to them.

It took immense control and strength to suppress the body’s basic needs, but something about her seemed to dull my mind, silencing logic and reason, awakening dark desires that made it increasingly difficult to resist the urge to claim her.

My wolf made the task even harder, growling restlessly in my mind, predatory and domineering, ready to claim her as his. As I evaluated her through the lens of a Supreme Alpha, Callie was not a wolf worthy of being my mate. Having a blind wolf as my Luna would be a sign of weakness.

Why did a part of me even consider the possibility? I growled in frustration. We needed to return to the pack. I was enraged by the attack and by her memories. I needed to release this pent-up fury, and I kne

POV: AARONWe went straight to the cells where the male wolves were separated from the females. As per my orders, all prisoners were to remain in their human form—their weakest state. Any who disobeyed were eliminated without mercy. I stood in front of a cell holding three werewolves. I kept the groups small to prevent rebellions that would be difficult for the guards to suppress.“All of you, shift!” I growled loudly, my command absolute, increasing the restrained pressure of my power. If I let it fully loose, I could suffocate any creature with sheer force alone. Trembling, the prisoners exchanged confused glances.“My king, isn’t this something we usually avoid?” the Beta asked nervously from behind me. I shot him a sharp glare, and he quickly looked away, remaining silent.Turning back to the captives, I watched as, one by one, they shifted into their wolf forms. I inspected each cell carefully until I found the three aggressors from Callie’s memory.“You three, step forward,” I o

POV: AARONI dragged the last wolf, who no longer had the strength to scream or beg, his fur soaked with tears. I impaled him directly, taking my time, and looked at each lifeless body with complete satisfaction. The Beta stood nearby, visibly shaken, his eyes darting toward the blind wolf as he frowned. He cautiously approached me, speaking carefully:“My Alpha, forgive my bluntness… Is all this because of the blind wolf?”Grabbing him, I slammed him against the stakes and roared furiously in his face, blood dripping from his nose and eyes.“This is about everyone knowing they cannot stand against my power. My enemies will fall—choose your side wisely, Beta!” I threw him forcefully against the city gates. “Callie!”“Y-yes, my king,” she stammered, trembling.“See what is done to enemies!” I commanded, towering over her. Confused, she turned her snout toward me.“What?” she asked, surprised.“Shift into your human form and feel the lifeless bodies of those who hurt you so deeply!” I g

I insisted on accompanying the Alpha to the prisoners’ cell; in some way, I felt safe by his side. His power felt like an unbreakable protective shield!Following his scent, I was surprised when he casually and simply asked about the three wolves. It took me a few seconds to realize who the Lycan King was referring to. Shocked, I lifted my snout in his direction before moving ahead, sniffing toward the guards who had abused me and taken pleasure in tormenting me night after night. They would stop just before dawn, allowing me to “recover” enough to be used as prey by my father.“It’s them!” I confirmed, stepping back cautiously without turning my back, the pain in my flesh still vivid as if fresh. I sought shelter behind the Alpha, who didn’t object. Furthermore, I could feel his eyes burning into my skin. His

Haven’t you heard of it?” he growled, amused. “How much of life have they deprived you of?”“Enough to forget that this stuff stings the eyes,” I replied, desperately trying to wave away the burning sensation.“Let me see,” the Alpha said, pulling me closer and blowing gently into my eyes, easing the discomfort. His scent began to shift, becoming more predatory. “It’s hard to be naked around you without having… wicked thoughts.”I reached out, tracing his face with my fingers, outlining his lips where a mischievous, crooked smile seemed to play. My hands moved higher, caressing his wet skin until something prickly grazed my fingers. Reflexively, I pulled back, but he caught my hands and pressed them against his face.“It’s p

Callie’s innocence, her intoxicating reactions, the way her eyes seemed to find me even though she couldn’t see—everything about her was driving me insane. I needed to feel her body.My wolf growled compulsively. Her presence against my skin almost made me lose control, pulling me toward her. But I knew the little wolf wasn’t ready for something like that yet. I was losing focus. I needed to uncover the reasons why the goddess intertwined our paths, guiding me to her. What were these visions, and how could I control them? If they were real, they would be a powerful advantage against my enemies. A wolf capable of foreseeing her enemies’ next moves was an undeniable asset. I growled in frustration, longing for her hands to be on me, wrapped around my need.Shaking my head, I realized I was straying again from my main goal: discovering whether the blind she-wolf had supernatural powers to f

I want you to be her personal attendant, meeting her needs whenever she requires. Understood?”“Yes, my king. It will be a pleasure to attend to your guest’s needs!” Nicoly nodded formally, then approached the blind she-wolf, filling her plate with food.“One more thing, Nicoly—I don’t want anyone mistreating her or allowing other staff to do so. They won’t like what happens if they go against my orders!”The young girl nearly spilled juice on Callie out of nervousness, but the she-wolf reac

The truth was, I didn’t know how to handle his games—they were a different kind of torture that stirred up very confusing feelings.“What kind of interpretation are you suggesting, little wolf?” His voice resonated, deep and seductive, making my wolf growl in response. The liquid the Alpha drank carried a sweet, alcoholic aroma. He paused with the glass in hand and growled predatory. “Wolf, wolf, wolf… Don’t tempt me by exhaling that scent like this.”I bit my lip hard, nervously fiddling with a strand of hair. Something deep within me throbbed with an unfamiliar yearning. Memories of our recent shower together surfaced, reminding me of the explosion of confusing pleasures I had felt. This time, I heard his graceful movement toward me. One hand rested lightly on my knee while the other caressed my neck.“You’re playing with fire, bl

POV: CALLIEI explored the cave we were in, sniffing around to make sure there was no danger. I followed the sound of water, dipping my hand in and feeling its comfortable, inviting temperature.“Yulli?” I called, but the witch seemed unconscious, having used the last of her strength to partially heal the poison that the Dark God had spread through my body.I slid out of my clothes, stepping into the water, feeling its gentle caress against my skin. I scrubbed my body, desperate to rid myself of the scent of Dante and Nocturnus. The darkness that clung to them was repulsive. I needed to figure out what to do next—the Supreme Alpha was the father of my child, the same man from my dreams, seemingly my destined mate. But why did I want to run from him? Why did I feel the need to escape? Aaron wasn’t like the man in my dreams. Had I simply idealized him?“So many ques

If they are found guilty of treason, I will judge and punish them personally.”“But, Lycan King, we didn’t do any.” The prisoner started to speak, but immediately fell silent when my fierce eyes locked onto him.“Please, Alpha, you can’t possibly believe my son is a traitor… This she-wolf disappeared for days and suddenly shows up with these accusations!” the elder pleaded, glaring at Kemilly, who growled threateningly.“Kemilly left under my command. She has served me for years and was once even considered for Luna. Show some respect, elder.” I growled,

POV: CALLIE“How did you manage to break free?” I asked the witch, alarmed.“I’m not an ordinary sorceress. Besides, Dante isn’t as smart as he thinks. The mana stone that repels magic needs to be bathed in pure cave water to maintain its power. I guess he doesn’t know that.” She let out a soft laugh. “And he wanted to become the Supreme Alpha with such foolishness.”“Yulli, why are you helping me? You know you’re putting yourself at risk… You could escape without me. I’m blind…” I sighed. “I’ll only slow you down!”“Why do you think I’m here?” The sorceress gently touched my hand, and I felt the chains vibrate as they unlocked. “The ancestors sent me to you. My inner beast roared for his mate, yet whenever we were physically together, he became fierce and defensive toward her.“Why is your wolf rejecting me?” she asked, confused, lowering her head, sadness in her voice.“I don’t understand, Lycan King. I thought you wanted me. Did I misunderstand?”Something about the way she spoke felt off, but I still didn’t know what h

He actually seems to like this blind she-wolf.”I ran my hands through my hair, stepping in front of the mirror.Despite the magic and my identical appearance to Callie, I could see. Those who looked at me, however, only saw blind eyes, unable to perceive the magical veil cloaking my face, shaping it into that of the insignificant little wolf.“Enjoying your new look?”Jaxon entered the room, laughing.“You look even better like this!”“Go to hell, Beta!” I growled, irritated, glaring at him through the mirror’s reflection.“What do you want? Her mind raced through the next steps, thinking of how to return to the Alpha.I nibbled lightly on his back, making him sigh, then trailed kisses upward, inhaling his addictive, woody scent. My nails glided over his shoulders and arms in slow, rhythmic strokes.“I still can’t give you the answers you want, but please, Alpha... Here, at least, can we just be you and me?”Aaron turned, cupping my face with his open palm. I let my head rest against him, closing my eyes to absorb his warmth.“Please...”His hand slid to the nape of my neck, pulling me forward, guiding my body onto his. Why won’t you talk to me outside this dream?”“The followers of that so-called god, Nocturnus.”The moment I mentioned his name, sharp, needle-like pain pierced my mind. I groaned in agony, my legs giving out beneath me before I collapsed—only to be caught by the striking man in front of me.“The person who came to you isn’t...”I screamed as the pain became unbearable, a violent sensation rising in my stomach. However, the same had happened in my dream.“Callie?” I called. She kept her head down in silence.“Why isn’t she speaking?”“I couldn’t say, Alpha. I managed to repel it, but I think there were side effects.”“Bring a stretcher here, now!” Ryan shouted, issuing a command. “I’m going to take care of you.”“I don’t need a stretcher; just examine the wounded area.
