POV: CALLIE

I explored the cave we were in, sniffing around to make sure there was no danger. I followed the sound of water, dipping my hand in and feeling its comfortable, inviting temperature.

“Yulli?” I called, but the witch seemed unconscious, having used the last of her strength to partially heal the poison that the Dark God had spread through my body.

I slid out of my clothes, stepping into the water, feeling its gentle caress against my skin. I scrubbed my body, desperate to rid myself of the scent of Dante and Nocturnus. The darkness that clung to them was repulsive. I needed to figure out what to do next—the Supreme Alpha was the father of my child, the same man from my dreams, seemingly my destined mate.

But why did I want to run from him? Why did I feel the need to escape? Aaron wasn’t like the man in my dreams. Had I simply idealized him?

POV: AARONBy late afternoon, the traitors stood in the center of the town square, drawing the attention of the townspeople who, in their human forms, had gathered in a circle to watch. I remained in front of the water fountain while the prisoners were tied to wooden stakes driven into the ground.“My wolves,” I began, my voice resonating with firm authority, “the prisoners before you have been judged. Undeniable evidence of their treason has been presented. These wolves have been found guilty of their actions—spreading the marks of the Dark God’s sect throughout Convergence, which led to the draining of the local residents’ life force.”“This isn’t fair!” the elder woman cried out, her voice thick with emotion. “That city doesn’t belong to any pack! Who cares what happens to the people there? Alpha King, you cannot punish my son for vandalizing a place that&rsquo

It’s a simple outfit, created by magic,” she said as she collapsed beside me, clutching my legs. “Damn it, this demon is draining my life force.”“The hybrid conceived from our union belongs to me!” Nocturnus bellowed, and strange sounds began echoing through the cave, as if eerie creatures were drawing closer. “Come to me, my queen...”“I already told you, I’m not your queen!” I snarled, furious. “I’m not going anywhere.”“You are mine!” the deity shrieked in a high-pitched sound like a whistle, forcing me to cover my ears as they ached. My fists burned as if something had ignited within them.“The marks...” Yulli struggled to speak, shouting louder than the unbearable noise.Whe

However, there were other hints mixed within it.“What do you need me to say, Lycan King?” she asked, her voice trembling. “What do you think I did this time?”“Don’t play dumb, little wolf... I hate games. Why did Nocturnus say you belong to him?” I growled, watching her smile. “Do you think this is funny?”I snarled fiercely, making the ground and walls tremble.“No, of course not, Alpha.” She sighed. “But it seems like you’re jealous.”“Jealous? Because a deity wants you for himself? You’re truly naive, wolf.” I roared, stepping even closer. But Callie didn’t back away—she reacted differently. Her eyes, even behind the veil, seemed more alive, no longer clouded by darkness.

I shifted into my wolf form, lying down on what felt like sand.“What are you doing?” Yulli asked, crouching beside me and stroking my fur. “Are you feeling tired?”“A little, but I can feel him calling me,” I whispered, confused. “I can’t explain it, but my male is calling for me.”“Aaron?” she asked, puzzled. “Huh, who would have thought your bond would be this strong?”I nodded, resting my head on my paws.“Yulli, you...” I murmured, embarrassed.“I don’t mind. Teasing her clitoral area, I sucked and kissed it before hunger took over, and I plunged my tongue deep inside her, feeling her warm walls clench around me at the contact.“Give me everything, Callie...”I growled hoarsely, biting her thighs, sucking her sensitive spot, an

Soon, Lycan King, I will return to your arms… But…” I shifted nervously. “There’s something you need to know.”I started to speak, but suddenly, I looked back, every hair on my body standing on end. I knew the Alpha was notorious for his cold and ruthless tortures.“Whether Dante likes it or not, he’ll have to accept that the plan failed.” I muttered to myself. “Damn it, I can’t go back to him—he’ll use me as a sacrifice for Nocturnus, even though I’m his mate.”I paced back and forth, my mind racing, when I suddenly heard the Lycan King’s howl in the distance. He was getting closer—there was no doubt about it. He had discovered my deception.Shifting into my wolf form, I jumped through the broken window the Alpha had shattered earlier. I landed poorly, but I didn’t stop. I took off, slipping out of the city unnoticed, vanishing into the wilderness. My eyes darted around as

Can you see?”There was surprise in his tone.I looked again at the wounded she-wolf on the ground, feeling the ferocity of my beast stir at the sight of her—injured, cowering, trembling, and threatened.Hunter grabbed my hair roughly, yanking me toward him with a sharp breath.“How are you doing this?” he snarled through his fangs.“Don’t touch me!” I growled, my claws extending as I slashed at him the moment he let go. It's only a matter of time before Nocturnus enters the city,” Lyra said.“But the wolves stopped, afraid to follow us here.” I commented, still in shock.“Even werewolves fear ghosts, especially powerful ones,” Yulli laughed, amused. “But that doesn’t apply to creatures controlled by Nocturnus.”“I…” I bit my lip, nervous. “I don’t want to lose my wolf. She’s part of who I am.”I didn’t want to admit out loud that I wasn’t just afraid of losing my wolf—I also feared never having him in my dreams again. Who the hell are you calling a rat?” Jaxon lunged toward him but stopped when Keenan lifted his head, meeting his gaze with icy indifference.“Forget it. If this is what the council wants and the Supreme Alpha’s decision, then take my place, and I’ll take yours.”“You will not!” The Supreme Beta’s threatening roar startled everyone—except me. Watching this power struggle was a pleasure; it allowed me to gauge the strength of my warriors within the pack.“If you can’t even handle simple management tasks and the protection of the Lycan King, what makes you think you’re capable of leading a central city?”

Carefully, I carried her inside, laying her gently on the bed. I sank down beside her, running my fingers tenderly through her hair. I was exhausted, but a crooked smile formed on my lips as I looked at her. Furthermore, I truly wanted to care for and protect this wolf and her child.“Ours…” I corrected myself automatically, furrowing my brow at my own reaction. The word echoed in my mind.I stretched out my hand, hesitating for a moment before placing it on her belly. Leaning in, I tried to listen for the tiny, strong heartbeat inside her. A sudden kick met my touch, and I couldn’t help but smile—a genuine, admiring smile.“You’re already strong, little one. Are you trying to protect your mo

Out of curiosity, I reached out to feel its shape, yawning despite my efforts to resist exhaustion, afraid that the dark god would be waiting for me there.“You know you'll have to sleep at some point,” the Alpha murmured, his voice slightly drowsy. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll be there with you.”“Even so, I’m not ready to face him,” I admitted, tracing my fingers idly across his bare chest, the tips tingling against his warm, smooth skin.“You don’t have to face him, little wolf. Leave the battles to me,” Aaron pressed a lingering kiss to the top of my head.“You’re exhausted too. And I don’t want to depend on anyone when it comes to battle…” I sighed, sitting up in bed. “I need to get stronger for Rigan.”

It seemed like a great excuse and opportunity for a moment with Callie. I pulled her into my arms, wrinkling my nose at the TV screen, where the movie title stood out: “A Love Beyond Life.”I had never watched romantic movies, not even when past girlfriends asked me to go to the movies. Furthermore, I always preferred horror films… Maybe because I was used to a harsh life filled with battles.“You seem hesitant.” Callie whispered, settling her back against my chest, giving me a tempting view of her bare body. I bit my lips and pulled the sheet over her, knowing that otherwise I wouldn't be able to focus on any movie.“If you want, I can get dressed,” she offered.“And miss the chance to admire you from time to time? POV: CALLIEI felt strange, a latent voracity burning inside my chest. I entered the bathroom, panting, letting out occasional growls, and smirked, feeling oddly pleased.“Wolf, you’re back?” I murmured to my inner beast, who grunted in response. “Did you really have to return like this? We’re trying to avoid the Alpha, not become his.”My wolf protested in my mind, her presence laced with lust, restless within my chest. I felt a significant improvement below my belly, as if she were working to protect our pup with her healing power. The sensation stirred the baby awake, making him kick excitedly, as if he recognized my beast’s return.“Thank you for coming back.” I placed my hand over my chest, clenching it into a fist. “I was afraid without you… Nocturnus reached us in a dream. I fear sleeping.”In my mind, my wolf appr
