Kyle's POV

Hours later, after school had let out, I trudged through the front door of our mansion, dropping my backpack onto the floor with a soft thud. I made my way to the living room, collapsing onto the plush couch with a sigh. The room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft hum of the TV in the background. We had been home for more than three hours now, and yet Nathan was still nowhere to be found.

"I hate it when he does this," I said, running a hand through my dark hair in frustration. My piercing green eyes scanned the room, as if searching for some sign of Nathan's whereabouts. My chiseled features were set in a scowl, my jaw clenched in annoyance.
