Diana rushed to the comfort room when she could barely breathe because of the anger that was stored in her heart. She could not accept that Stella was her cousin. After entering the bathroom, she was forced to face the mirror. She stared at her own reflection in the mirror.

“With so many people, why you?” Her fingers gripped the sink. “Bitch, it’s not just the throne in the company you’re taking away from me now. I can’t let you take the man I want too!”

Elizabeth grinned as she leaned against the back door. She just let Diana take her anger to Stella herself first. Somehow, she felt better knowing that she had an ally to destroy Stella’s character.

Stella only smiled at Mauro when the two men shook hands with her. She could feel Charles’ warm gaze on her, but she didn’t bother to look back.

“Grandpa, thank you for choosing me as—” Mauro didn’t finish speaking when Charles interrupted.

“You haven’t been chosen to be Stella’s husband yet.”

Diana approached Stella with a smile and kissed her. “I didn’t think you were the only cousin I’ve been wanting to meet for a long time.”Smiling, she returned the kiss to the woman. Many people were looking at them now, and their every move was being watched. “I know you enjoyed it a lot and made fun of me for insulting your personality. You probably have no intention of getting revenge, have you? Besides, it’s not my fault if I call you Slapsoil,” Diana whispered sarcastically to Stella again. It was Stella who hugged the woman and whispered back. “I’m not angry, dear. I’m not even affected by your insults, because you know the reason. Now, maybe you wouldn’t be angry with me if Mauro was one of Grandpa’s choices to be my husband, would you?” She asked teasingly to Diana. “Bitch!” She hissed, if only she could strangle her while hugging her. “Show me what you got!” “Sure!” She gently patted Diana on the back before letting go of her embrace. She grinned and was calm, while Diana’

“Make a way for Mauro to marry your cousin,” Vincent said to Vanz. Diana stared at her grandfather in disbelief. They were in his library today to talk about Stella. “Grandpa, why Mauro? I can’t agree because he’s mine!” Vincent angrily slapped his granddaughter out of anger. “Stupid! What you say about that love is insanity! That love is not important. That would only destroy the foundation of our family! The important thing now is to grab the man your cousin will marry by the neck in order for us to take over the company!”Vanz quickly approached his sister and hugged her. He felt sorry for her, but they had to obey their grandfather. “Leave it alone for now. When that woman disappears from our path, you will also get back the man you want to marry.” Crying, Diana hid her face in her brother’s chest. This is not the first time that her grandfather has hurt her physically. But she is in a lot of pain now because she will lose the chance to be loved by Mauro. Their grandfather’s ha

She laughed and put the cellphone in the pocket of the shorts she was wearing. She had no intention of having any contact with Charles. “Never mind, I’ll just ask your grandfather for your contact number.”She quickly blocked Charles’ path when he stepped forward. “Fine!” She was forced to hand over the cellphone. A corner of Charles’ lips lifted slightly, and he immediately took the girl’s cellphone. After typing his own number, he saved it immediately before dialing. Stella folded her arms, and the man was really wise. He even called his own number to make sure he got her contact information. After returning the girl’s cellphone, he put one hand in his pocket. “Say goodbye to your grandfather, and we’ll be leaving.” She quickly backed away from the young man. “I won’t go with you, so leave. Even if you don’t follow me, I will visit Grandpa.” “I promised Grandpa that I’d be with you when I got home,” Charles said firmly.“You—” “You must not want your grandfather to know about

She rides in Charles’s car annoyingly. Besides, he did not agree that she would ride in another car. After sitting in the chair, she folded her arms and did not move. Charles smiled at the girl. She squinted, but she couldn’t get away from him. Then he gradually brought his face closer to her. He could feel the girl’s nervousness, which made him happy. She was almost holding her breath and couldn’t pull herself away from Charles. She thought he was going to kiss her. “Done.” At the same time as the young man spoke, the seat belt that was attached to her clicked. She wants to beat herself up for expecting something else. She quickly looked away to hide her embarrassment. He couldn’t get away from the girl. He quickly grabbed the girl’s chin and brought her face to him.“What are you doing—?” She didn’t finish speaking, and the young man quickly sealed her lips with a kiss. She automatically grabbed his shoulder to push him. But it is like steel that cannot be shaken. With his ligh

The nurse smiled when she saw the woman after opening the door. She recognized her immediately. Apart from the fact that she had already seen her during her first visit, her patient mentioned the woman multiple times as his grandson’s ex-wife. “Thank you, and you visited the gentleman again.” Stella smiled at the nurse before moving her gaze to the bed. The old man seems to be sleeping, but there is still oxygen attached to his nose. “How is he? Why is he on oxygen?” She asked worriedly. “His granddaughter came here earlier and brought her friend with her,” the nurse explained.Stella sighed. The old man must have been angry, so his blood rose.“But he’s okay now. I just connected him to oxygen to make him feel better. His doctor has also checked him.” “Why didn’t you tell me right away that there was a problem here?” Charles asked angrily and heard the last thing the nurse said. The nurse bowed her head in fear when she saw the old man’s grandson. “I’m sorry, sir, your sister did

Sophie quickly attends to her friend and hugs her. She didn’t know how to comfort her because her brother had hurt her. But she also didn’t like the words that came out of her mouth earlier, which made her brother furious. “Now I understand why Grandpa doesn’t like you.” Disappointment was plastered on Charles’ face.“Honey, I’m sorry! I’m just angry and jealous; that’s why I said all that. I love you so much, and I’ll do anything for our love!” She started to cry and begged the young man. She is afraid that he will not love her anymore. “It’s over, Elizabeth!” He responded coldly to the girl. Both Sophie and Elizabeth were stunned. Elizabeth seemed deafened by what she heard and froze in place. “I’m sorry, but I just realized that I lost my love for you a long time ago.” Elizabeth quickly broke away from Sophie’s embrace and ran between her and Charles. She hugged him tightly and shook her head. “Sorry if I made it longer. But since you left and went to another country, I didn’t

“Stella, hija, is that really you?” Don Ramon weakly called the girl when he saw her sitting next to the bed right after he opened his eyes. Stella stood up quickly and came closer to the old man. “Grandpa, how are you feeling?” Ramon was about to cry as he raised his trembling palm and held the girl’s hand. “Hija, I don’t know how much time I have left.” Stella bit the inside of her mouth and prevented herself from sobbing. She let out a deep sigh before whispering to the old man, “Grandpa, I’m sorry if I hid this for so many years. I’m sorry if I thought not to introduce him to your family. I just don’t want my son to be exposed, especially if he was raised without a father by his side.”Ramon’s eyes danced with joy, and he couldn’t believe what he heard from the girl. Even though what she said was not complete, he had guessed it. “I understand you, hija. Thank you very much for bringing my first great-grandchild back to life! When Stella returned to her former husband’s home, it was quiet. Marimar was not there either, which she wondered about. The old man was in the living room and seemed to have been waiting for her. “Grandpa, why are you here in the living room? Have you had dinner?” “I’m done, hija, but Charles hasn’t yet.” Stella turns to the nurse and looks at her questioningly. “Sir Charles has been getting drunk for a while now and doesn’t want to be disturbed,” Rhea explained. Stella frowned and wondered why the young man suddenly got drunk. But when she remembered Elizabeth, she shook her head. “Perhaps he is hurt by the act of breaking up with Elizabeth, so he drinks.”Ramon quickly shook his head as well because the girl was thinking wrong. “I think you’re understanding it wrong, hija. I’ll go see him first, and maybe he’s had too much to drink.”Stella quickly stopped the rolling of the wheelchair that the old man was sitting on. “Let me do it, grandpa. You go and get some rest, and we ha

“Oh, eat this to get rid of your anger.” Meashelle gave a slice of mango to the girl as they walked to the entrance of the store.Diana immediately took a bite of it. She was about to ask for one more slice when she noticed two people looking intently at her. She slowly chewed what was in her mouth and continued to walk slowly.“Are they waiting for us?” Meashelle asked Diana in a whisper.Diana shrugged as she looked straight at Mauro. Well, he couldn’t see her eyes because she was wearing dark shades. He frowned again while looking at her. Her mouth was still full of mango slices, and she didn’t want to finish it right away. She is still enjoying the taste of the mango juice. She anchored on Meashelle’s arm, and when they were close to Mauro and Denise, they hurriedly past them.“Where are you going?” Mauro asked Diana sternly.“Going home.” She answered the young man in a muffled way because her mouth was still full and she didn’t bother to look at him.Mauro quickly chased after t

“Sir, try to put the ring on your fiancée’s finger to see if it fits her,” the saleswoman suggested while looking at Denise.Without a word, Mauro took the ring from the saleswoman and approached Diana. He carelessly took her palm to put the ring on her finger.Diana held herself not to moan in pain when Mauro carelessly grabbed her swollen hand. She withdrew her hand from his grasp, but he only tightened it so much that she was already shrugging.Mauro frowned and stared at the girl’s face. She was obviously hurt, and her lips pressed together tightly. When he looked at the back of her palm again, he noticed that it was red.Diana quickly withdrew her hand and moved it away from the young man. “I will measure it myself.” She extended her right palm in front of him.“What happened to your hand?” Instead, he asked the girl and did not give her the ring.“Nothing,” she responded coldly to Mauro and kept her palm open.Mauro sighed, and the woman’s behavior really changed. Fate 2Chapter 16: RingThe next day, Mauro’s driver picked Diana up after nine in the morning. She did not ask where the young man was. She’s still with Meashelle because it was what her grandfather wants, which is in her favor.“Why were we brought here?” Meashelle asked while looking up at a large and tall building.“This is where Mauro’s family’s company is,” Diana answered shortly before taking another bite of the mango. When she looked at the driver, his face could no longer be painted, and he was feeling sour from what she was eating.“I thought we were going to a jewelry shop and—”“Sir Mauro had something important to go to, so he’s not here yet. It was Sir Kobe who ordered that Ma’am Diana be brought here first,” the driver’s quick explanation.Meashelle glared at the driver and did not let her finish speaking. But he just smiled at her. She quickly put the other mangoes aside and put them in the bag she was carrying so that Diana could eat them again later.Diana hurriedly

Mauro just waited for his father to return before starting to talk about his marriage with Diana again.“Hija, when do you want to set the wedding and where?” Beth asked Diana.Diana was about to open her mouth, but Mauro preceded her to speak.“A simple wedding would be enough because you are in a hurry. Also, I don’t want many people to know about the wedding.”It was like a needle pierced Diana’s heart when she heard what Mauro said. It’s as if he said that he was ashamed of her as his wife, so he didn’t want people to know her. She would have answered the same, that she wanted a simple wedding ceremony. It’s just more painful to hear it from the mouth of the man she loves.“No way. Diana is my only granddaughter, and I want her to experience a fancy wedding! We have our own money; if it's because of the expenses, I’ll take care of it!” Vincent objected.Kobe sighed, and there will be another misunderstanding. “Señor, money is not a problem here!”“Grandpa, it’s alright. “Mauro, don’t be angry with her anymore. I’ll be the one to adjust so that our friendship doesn’t break.” She clung tightly to Mauro’s arm, and she acted as if she were falling.“No, she should have known by now that she can’t treat you like this if she wants us to have a good relationship in the future!” Mauro said firmly, staring intently at Diana.Diana’s lips pressed firmly together, and she tried to remind herself that she shouldn’t be hurt in the first place. She should not be angry and disappointed with Mauro. Above all, she didn’t need to explain, and she let him just look at her like that. She knows that he won’t believe her, so she shouldn’t show her real emotions. The expression she showed at the two was blank, and her mouth remained closed.Mauro was only irritated when Diana remained silent and he couldn’t read what was on her mind. He led his friend out of the dining room and left Diana.A strange smile appeared on Denise’s lips when she looked back at Diana. She showed

At dinner time, Mauro’s family arrived at Vincent’s mansion. They brought foods with them and people who will take care of the catering.“You shouldn’t have bothered bringing food.” Vincent smiled and shook Kobe’s hand.“This is a tradition in our culture,” Kobe replied formally to the old man. There seemed to be a big event inside the mansion when the meals were served. And right after the food was served, the staff also left.Mauro looked around when they entered the dining room. They will eat first before talking about the wedding between him and Diana.“My granddaughter is coming down,” Vincent informed when he noticed Mauro’s gaze, as if he were looking for something.Diana slowly went down the stairs even though she knew Mauro was already there with his family. She doesn’t know, but she doesn’t seem to want to see the young man, and it irritates her even just thinking about him. She was also sleepy, and Meashelle just woke her up earlier.Mauro frowned when he saw Diana. It look

Diana ran back to her room when the guests were gone. She rushed to the bathroom and immediately threw up that she had previously suppressed all throughout the interview. As time went on, her vomiting became more frequent. She has to hurry to get out of her grandfather’s house.Meashelle immediately followed the girl. She is worried, and it seems that her body has also been affected due to her pregnancy.“Sister Meashelle, do you think Grandpa doesn’t notice my condition?” Diana asked worriedly.“That’s what I always pray for,” she replied genuinely.Diana smiled and hugged the girl. Without her, she would certainly have no one else to lean on. She thought of a way to get out today. She has to go out to eat what she has been craving for a while now. As long as she does not eat any sour foods, she continues to throw up.In the living room, Vincent grinned after putting down the cellphone.“What’s the next plan, grandpa?” Vans asked as he approached his grandfather.“Let’s get ready bec

“Don Fausto, what do you think your cousin is thinking, and he is hastening the marriage of his granddaughter and my son now?” Kobe talked to the old man.“You should delay the planned gathering to also delay the plans he’s cooking,” Fausto suggested to Mauro’s father.Stella sighed as she listened to the meeting. She was disappointed with Diana earlier, especially from what she was wearing.“Then I’ll call them tomorrow morning,” Kobe’s decision.“It’s up to you to work together in the company from now on. I have to follow Ramon and my grandson to another country.”Mauro nodded understandingly to Stella’s grandfather. He will be Stella’s assistant in the company, and his position also increased. That’s probably what Vincent and his family see as an opportunity, so they want him to marry Diana.“Grandpa, don’t worry, and I will take care of the company.”Fausto smiled at Charles. The middle crowd spontaneously cleared to see the person standing behind who was continuing to cheer with a wide smile.Charles quickly moved to his wife’s side when he saw Vincent, who was the center of attention for his wife. It looks like he did it on purpose to come late, and he smiled beautifully while still gently clapping.“Sorry for being late. Congratulations to our newly appointed chairman!” Vincent even stretched his arms out as he stared at Stella with a smile.Stella smiled back and approached the old man. “Thank you so much! I thought you wouldn’t come to show me your support,” Stella said meaningfully to the old man. She knew he was faking his smile too.“That won
