Chapter 5 II

"Ma’am if you’ll permit me, are you the only one that would be staying here?” I asked and all eyes turned to me. This might be a good chance to show myself.

“Actually, I’ll be moving in with my_” She got interrupted when the door cracked open and a teenage girl, probably 16 walked into the room

“My daughter. Everyone, this is my daughter Lilly.” The senator smiled as Lilly came to a halt beside her 

“Hello everyone. Good day mother, Gretta told me you were done with your interview work so I wanted us to have lunch and I could see the designs myself” 

Every single thing she said was out of pure innocence but her eyes just kept jabbing into mine, she wouldn’t take her eyes off mine for a second, even when her mother gave her a response.

She’s my winning ticket, I just know it.

“Miss Lilly, you said you wanted to see the designs? Well why don’t you show me around the house and I would gladly tell you how it would look like in the next 3 weeks” I smirked and she, just like every other girl her age blushed red hot.

“Mum is it okay?” She finally turned to her mother and she gave her a nod in response. I smiled at Jerry as I stood up to take this elegant walk with my Trump card.

I opened the door for her and she giggled 

“After you” I winked 

“Oh my, what a gentleman” She smiled and I walked out, then she proceeded to give me a tour around the house. Of course I asked her how she wanted it to look like and she said she didn’t care, all she just wanted was for her room to be perfect. The other rooms didn’t concern her, so I asked her to take me to her room.

And that’s where we are right now “So we’ll get rid of this milk and use Pink paint as the finishing touches for the walls, just like your lips” I poked her lips and she blushed again. Girls…

“I like it, I like your idea the more” she smiled and I smiled back but I made a dramatic frown so she’d see that I wasn’t happy.

“What’s wrong??” She came close to me and held my hand

“No it’s nothing. It’s just that, it’s been my dream to design new things for someone as big as your mum but sadly she doesn’t want our model. She’s sticking with some jerk company called GOC” I rolled my eyes 

“Well that’s sad, well I want you to redesign my room. Everything you’ve said, from the kitchen to my mum’s offices and our rooms are splendid work. I really want you instead of GOC” 

I raised my brows at her “You want me? Or my company to do the work?” I asked and I knew she was going to say me

“Look, I know I just met you some minutes ago but… I’m really into you, and, and I know you’re going to say, I’m a minor, we can’t do anything with each other but I don’t care. I really feel that chemistry with you and I want to see you again” She gave me puppy eyes as she drew closer to me. 

A kiss Missy? No way, your mum would screw me over. 

I watched as she closed her eyes and her lips inched closer to mine but I blocked it with my finger.

“This is too soon. You don’t know what you’re doing” I sighed as stepped back to keep a little distance from us. This is my game, I make the moves young one and you play along… 

“Look, I’m 17 and I just need to wait for some more months before I turn 18 so give me a chance” She pleaded 

“Or do you have a girlfriend? That’s it, isn’t it?” She sighed 

“No no, I don’t have a girlfriend but… How about we start out as friends okay? It just feels awkward because it should be the guys asking a pretty girl like you out and not the other way around, besides I’m an old guy, you need someone to complement your beauty” That’s it… make her head swell with soft words

“You’re the one I want, not others. You’re sweet, you look like a gentleman that would never hurt a fly, if it were other guys, they’d jump at this opportunity but you didn’t, because you care and you’re extremely handsome, that’s why it has to be you. Although, you’re not wrong. We should definitely be friends first” she nodded 

“And what about your mum? She’s a senator, I don’t think she’ll like this eventually” I shook my head, holding my laugher. She thinks I’m sweet and a gentleman, I should probably die from all this deceit I’ve displayed today.  

“I don’t care if she likes it or not, she’d do anything just to make me happy so let's quit jabbering and be friends already! My name is Lilly Harrison and I’d like to be your friend” She reached out her hands. Oh my dear, your over confidence might just be your down fall…

I stared at her hand for a while before I accepted “Theodore Adams, nice to meet you Lilly” I smiled. 

“Now let’s go get your company this deal” She said and stormed out of the room with me tagging along.

We found my team and her mother having lunch at the dining table

“Mum, I want them to redesign the house. Not GOC” she said as she hugged her mum's chair, I took my seat beside Ray and Jerry as I watched the scene unfold.

“But honey, you haven’t seen GOC's design, it’s really good” the senator dropped her fork and turned to her daughter 

“Pretty pleaseee mummy, if you love me then you’ll allow it” the senator sighed  

“Alright. It seems your employee here has convinced my daughter to pick your design over everyone else’s. Since I prioritize her happiness over everything, the job is yours, thanks to that young man over there” 

“Thank you so much Senator, we won’t disappoint!” Gabi smiled at the senator. 

Now this is part of my charm, I make deals happen.

“How did you do it, how did you convince her man?” Jerry nudged my tummy 

“I don’t care about what he did, the fact is that he’s done it again. We’ve got the job!” Ray clasped his hands together.

I turned just in time to see Lilly wink at me.

There’s only one trick I used today, Get to the child, then you’ve succeeded in winning the mother over.

Of course I knew if we couldn’t win her over with our model, then I’d have to use this trick. It didn’t play out as I anticipated but I guess it worked out well in the end. I’ve got the senator’s daughter wrapped around my fingers. Let’s see where she gets me...
