Chapter 14

Theo sat lazily on a couch and continued flipping channels, obviously bored to death he decided to browse the internet. 

He took out his phone and kept looking at daily reports, happenings in Konan city and what was buzzing in some celebrities lives. He was about to lock his eyes on a page when something passed him in the blink of an eye.

He turned around but no one was there. 

What the hell is going on? He asked himself.

He dropped his phone and wondered off to the kitchen when he felt something pass by again. He could feel a presence here in their home but who could it be?

“IS ANYONE HOME?” I asked but I was answered with silence.

I turned to the fridge and took out a bag of carrots. As I munched on one with the bag in my hand, I decided to explore the hallway. 

If there’s a ghost in this house then we need to exorcise it quickly because I’m not moving.

I checked D's room but it was empty, so I took more steps to my room which was still ahead. When I got closer I heard sounds like a rat rampaging and just tearing things up.

I gulped, what if… what if it’s a…

Don’t think like that Theo! You’ve not been living with that creature so it’s not possible” I scolded myself. Before twisting the nob and slowly pushing the door open 

A head snapped towards me before returning back to what it was doing 

“Its good you’re here Theo, I kind of… need your help” He said again pulling his head out of the closet and pursing his lips.

My eyes immediately diverted to the heap of fashion clothes on the floor.

Wait… Is that my crazy jeans? My Luis Vuitton shirt? Even my freaking Gucci jacket!

“What the hell Jerry!” I said slightly angry. 

Why the hell would he rack up our closet like that? What’s going on!

“I have a date tomorrow” he said and my mood just skyrocketed 

“That’s my boy!” I said as I riffled his hair. 

“But then, I don’t know what to do. The date is tomorrow and I’m confused like, what should I wear? Should I curl my hair or plait? What do I even say to her? It’s all messed up inside of my head” He sighed as he sat on his bed.

And I sat beside him. I never thought going on a date was that tough, it might be for him since he’s seeking for 'love' ugh I could just vomit saying that word.

I rolled my eyes as I returned to reality. 

“You know, I really thought you were a rat going on a rampage” I smirked as he chuckled 

“But I said hi when I walked into the house. You were too busy flipping channels to even hear me” 

“Oh? My bad then. So this date of yours… what’s her name, how’d you guys meet? Come on, give your bud the goodies” I played with my brows

“I can’t… I can’t say…” He mumbled 

“Why? Have I banged her before?” 

“You certainly have not!” He replied almost immediately

“Then spill, she’s your girl so I can’t do anything to her. Besides, you’re going on a date with her so…” 

“Alright! It’s… Cassandra, Gabi’s secretary” 

“Woahhhh” I shouted 

“Will you stop shaking me!” He sighed and I realized I’ve been shaking him

“I’m happy for you broh, finally y’all going on a date!” 

“Yeah” he smiled 

“So… you have everything planned out right?” I smirked 

“Yep. I’m thinking of taking her out to the movies and watching Magic shop with her, it’s a romance film and it’s also filled with comedy. Then I’m going to confess my feelings to her, hopefully she’ll say yes and become my girlfriend” When I heard those last part I just paused. What in the world is going on inside that head of his?!

“No no no! Have I taught you nothing? You know what? Class, right now! Theo 101 let’s go” I barked and he brought out a book and a pen.

“First, no one is confessing their love! You are not going to give your heart out and get it broken. You’re not confessing, we boys never confess first got that! Instead… she’s the one who’s going to confess at the end of the movie… That right Cassie…You’re gonna be all over Jerry when the day runs out…” 

Jerry watched as Theo smiled evilly to himself and he just sighed. This friend of his would surely be cooking up some master plan in his head right now and he can’t even begin to imagine what it would be. At least he got a point today 

*Boys should never confess first*

Few minutes later.

“This shirt is the perfect one for you. It just brings out your dark color and it blends with a movie night shirt. Here, pair it with these crazy jeans, you should probably go to the stylist and get your hair curled. I think curled hair makes you look hot. Put some fake earrings on, we need to do something about your eyebrows, would you like to pair your outfit with a leather jacket or a cool Gucci sweater? I think Gucci sweater would make you look like a good boy that you are but… with the leather jacket, you’ll have more chances of winning her over. Maybe on your second date you can wear the Gucci sweater”

Jerry just sighed as Theo blabbed on and on without him even asking for Jerry’s opinion, he just made all the plans regarding the date. Even his clothes, that Leather jacket isn’t his but Theo’s. They lend each other clothes so it’s not a biggie but he feels like Theo's sudden take over isn’t what he wants but he can’t complain, he was the one who asked for help

“Now that we have everything settled, let’s move to what you’re going to say even though there isn’t much conversation since you’ll be watching the movie. Even though, you still need to practice” I said and Jerry grumbled 

“Don’t give me that look young man, you want her to like you right?” I said and he glared at me before nodding 

“Then you have to follow my plan” I emphasized

“But I wanted to at least do the talking Theo, let the talking be all me” Jerry pleaded

“Okay, okay. Do what you want, it’s your date I’m just trying to be a good friend and teacher” I raised my hands as a sign of defeat before I took my bag of carrots and dragged my foot to the door.

I know Jerry, he won’t let me leave like this. He’s going to call me back, we’re best friends after all

“Okay! Let’s practice lines” he sighed and I clapped my hands

“I know you wouldn’t disappoint me Jerry” I smirked. 

“Okay. You’re gonna greet her, compliment her shoes. Women like that. Then you’re gonna use that deep commanding voice on her, it makes them swoon over you. You’re gonna have to lick your lips every now and then. Always stare into her eyes when you answer her questions”

“Oh God…” Jerry face palmed himself. How did I let this guy convince me again he wondered.

“What? I’m just getting started, we haven’t even talked about the good night kiss part. You need to go 90% angle and stop there_”

“Ugh!!!” Jerry groaned and I just chuckled. 

Meanwhile…

Gabi was still at the office and it was already past seven. 

She stared outside her office and she saw her secretary still on her desk so she decided to send her home since she wouldn’t be leaving the office anytime soon.

“Cassie, you can go home” She said but the woman still didn’t move a muscle.

“Cassie? Cassie? Cassie! Cassie!” she shouted startling Cassie. That’s when she realized this woman was actually day dreaming

“You’re day dreaming aren’t you” She smirked

“…!”

“Come on, tell me what’s up” Gabi said. She wasn’t nice to other workers but she was certainly nice to Cassandra because she was her very first friend since she came to Konan city.

Cassie sighed before spilling 

“Its this guy…” 

“ Oooooooh” Gabi teased.

“Yeah, he asked me out on a date and I’m kind of having cold feet. I think I like him already but it’s been long since I went on a date, I don’t wanna scare him away.”

“I think I might have some tips for you” Gabi smiled. 

“Okay then let’s hear it” Cassie smiled.

“First of all, you need to dress all sexy. If it’s a movie night which I’m guessing it is, you’ve gotta look seductive.” 

“Wow! How did you know?” Cassie gasped

“Stick around if you want to learn more from your Noble teacher.” She smiled rather evilly as she pushed the door and entered her office. Cassie just overlooked it and kept walking behind her but to he surprise, Gabi just stopped and turned around 

“Another important thing. Don’t Ever Confess Your Feelings First! If you do that then he won’t take you seriously, he needs to chase you ya know? But no worries, I’ll dolly you up so much he'd be forced to even say “I love you”

She smirked…
