Chapter 7

“I will never love you as I love Katherine,” Those were the words that keep revolving in her mind as she fixes herself in the mirror. 

She doesn't even know why he hates her. All she could was to love him. She didn't expect that day to happen. No matter how hard she tries, he pushes her away. It’s been a month since that day happened. Palagi lang siyang nilalagpasan ni Lucas at tiningnan lamang siya ng masama.

After a month of being with him. Nothing changed between them at mas lumala pa ang pagtrato ni Lucas kay Reigna. He even brought Katherine to their house, making stupid things that made her miserable.

Her mom always asked if she was okay but she did lie to her — if only she knew the truth about how Lucas treated her ay baka pinuntahan na niya ito at pagalitan. Lucas was cold as ice, ruthless at walang pakialam sa kanya. Since they were being married Reigna suffers at his bad attitude. Sometimes she thinks about why she even married a person who didn't love her?

That was the stupid mistake she made in her entire life. Now, she suffered and thought that she lost everything, especially herself.

She was happy when her parents announced that she was going to marry Lucas. She was so excited back then but now she wants to give up everything and run away from her nightmare. She just wants to live happily with someone who will truly love her, but she cannot force Lucas to love her. All she wanted was his attention, care and love.

She can’t do anything to undo all things but one thing is for sure, Lucas will never love her.

“Give me water.” Lucas said so suddenly as he dropped his body onto the sofa.

Reigna quickly took water for Lucas. She gave it to him with a little smile on her face.

“Reigna, please clean the house, someone will arrive.” He said as he took the water from her.

“Sino?”

“Huwag ka ng magtanong, bilis maglinis kana at pagkatapos mo dyan ay bumili ka ng makakain natin sa labas. Naiintindihan mo ba?” 

She nodded and she started cleaning. 

Pagkatapos niyang gawin lahat ang ipinapagawa ni Lucas sa kanya ay lumakad na kaagad siya para bumili ng makakain sa labas. 

But when she went back home, she saw something that would make her heart shattered into pieces. Her beloved husband kissed his lover, Katherine. As they exchanged deep kisses, they did not feel that someone was watching them. 

She tried to hold her tears but she failed. An abundant tear was flowing upon her cheeks that made her release what she was carrying. 

Pero hindi pa rin nila maramdaman na may taong nakatingin sa kanila. She decided to wipe her tears as she picked up the food she dropped from the floor.

“Until now you still careless, makakain pa ba iyan?” Reigna was shocked as she raised her head. Hindi niya nararamdaman na nasa harapan na niya pala si Lucas.

“I’m sorry,” 

“Go get yourself in the kitchen and prepare that food.”

“Honey you are so bad at her, please calm down.” Katherine interrupted.

Nang matapos na niyang kunin ang lahat ng pagkain, paulit-ulit na sumisilip sa kanyang isipan kung paano ni Lucas tingnan si Katherine at kung paano niya ito siniil ng halik na may halong pagmamahal na kahit kailan ay hindi niya mararanasan.

She wanted to throw something to their heads but instead she just finished what Lucas made her do. 

Habang kumakain ang dalawa ay di niya mapigilan na sumilip. Naiinggit siya kung ano man ang meron sa kanila ngayon, tumatawa habang kumakain. Ngayon niya lang nakita si Lucas na ganoon kasaya habang kasama ang totoong mahal niya. She felt jealous of how Lucas treated Katherine. She formed a fist and couldn't do anything while watching them. She saw every little thing they did that made her heart rip and torn. 

She wants to burst out crying in front of them and tell them how they hurt her. How those things made her fall apart. She just wants Lucas to love her but in the end she has nothing. She composed herself and trying to manage not to cry. 

“Can we talk?” Reigna interrupted them.

“Nakita mo bang kumakain pa kami?” Lucas said.

Her eyes were now empty and her heart shattered. All she could do was standing in front of them trying not to feel weak. Reigna was standing in the edge of despair. 

“Honey, pagbigyan mo na siya ba ka importante ang sasabihin niya.” Katherine said in a soft tone.

Maganda si Katherine, minsan natanong ni Reigna kung ano ang wala sa kanya na meron sa babaeng mahal ni Lucas. 

“Okay, ano ba iyan?” Reigna came back to reality when Lucas spoke.

She took a deep breath before saying a word. “ I really want a divorce. Let’s get divorce and I will never disturb you again.” 

Katherine's jaw dropped as if she didn't believe that Reigna would say those words in front of them.

But she remained bolder and looked at his eyes without a hint of pain but inside of her were already broken. 

Lucas' eyes widened. Akala niya ay hindi totohanin ni Reigna ang sinabi niya nung nakaraang araw dahil sa kanya ay biro lang na makikipagdivorce siya nito. Besides, mawawala ang lahat kay Lucas kapag mangyari man iyon.

When Lucas came back to his senses, he spoke. “ What did you say?” Lucas stood up from the chair and stared into her eyes.

“Let's end this marriage. I know you will never fall for me. Katherine must deserve your presence and not like me who make your life miserable.” She said in full determination. 

“You can’t do that to me.” He said in disbelief. “Ano na lang ang sasabihin ng parents mo, parents ko?”

“Wala na akong pake Lucas, ikaw na ang bahalang magpaliwanag sa kanila. Total gusto mo naman diba na lumayo ako sayo upang magsama na kayong dalawa?” She said without a hint of doubt.

Lucas wasn't expecting those words from Reigna. Parang hindi na niya ito kilala ngayon. She was firm and not weak. 

“I’ve finally made up my mind. I want a divorce.” She emphasized it.
