As the light source appeared suddenly, Haley instinctively squinted her eyes. Once she adjusted to its intensity, she recognized the person standing at the door.

"Mr. Ford..."

Haley felt a tingling sensation in her nose as she eagerly fixed her eyes on him, and all the suppressed grievances in her heart surged forth.

Seeing Haley's appearance clearly, Shane's heart twinged with pain. Then, a wave of overwhelming anger swept over him. Without hesitation, he rushed over and tightly embraced Haley, his large, warm hands continuously stroking her back.

"Haley, I'm here."
