Haley was full of helplessness. She had not expected William to be so heartless. She thought for a moment and asked, "Jenny, what are you going to do about the baby?"

Jenny hung her head in silence, tears still glistening at the corners of her eyes. She seemed trapped in a negative emotional spiral she could not escape from.
