But contrary to his wishes, Haley still caught sight of him.

Would she be afraid of him? Disgusted by him?

Haley had no idea what was going on in Shane's mind. Seeing him in distress, she hurried over and threw herself into his arms.

"Mr. Ford, are you okay? What happened just now?"

Feeling the softness in his arms, Shane tried hard to suppress the surge of violent emotions inside him, his voice hoarse as he asked, "Haley, what are you doing here?"

"I received a text message," Haley's gaze turned icy as she glanced at Stella before continuing, "it was saying you were in a hotel with another woman, and it even mentioned the room number."

Haley rushed over as soon as she received Stella's text message. Though she did not believe Shane would cheat, she still wanted to see for herself.

Without an invitation, she called Henry and had him bring her in.

She and Henry had just checked the room number mentioned in the message, only to find it empty. They searched the hotel and stumbled
