Gauravi's POV
" Don't blame me for the baby you are carrying. I am not related to it in any way. I don't even like you, being in a relationship, being married to you, or having a child with you is something that I would not do in this lifetime. " He said firmly.
" Well, what do I say, if you are denying it outrightly... Okay fine, all the best for your life, I guess I was right about you in the beginning. Anyway, thanks for saving my life. Mom, Dad, let's go, please. " Gauravi said.
" How can you deny everything like this?? He should take the responsibility. " Siddh got angry and charged at Shaurya but Gauravi came between them.
" Siddh, let it be, please don't force him. I can take care of myself and if I am in this situation it is my problem. Nobody has to take the responsibility for my life. Let's go! Please Bhai. "
" We don't need him to take care of you because we can't take care of you, Gauravi, it is the right thing to do, he has always been a playboy, but at least now, he should grow up and be a man enough to accept everything gracefully. "
" Why should I take the responsibility when it has nothing to do with me? " Shaurya said.
" Fine, I will prove you wrong. We will get the DNA test done and will prove that you are lying." Siddh said.
" No!! I don't want to prove anything, I have already proved that I am stupid enough to trust a Casanova like him, but I will rectify my mistake. " Gauravi said.
" See, she backed out as she couldn't prove anything. She must have had a fling with someone and when she got knocked out she thought that she could blame it on me as I am a playboy, everyone will believe her. " Shaurya said with a sarcastic smile.
" Shut up!! Or I will break your jaw. " Gautam said. Shaurya lowered his eyes out of respect for him.
" Dad please let's go from here. I am sorry that you had to face this. You were right, I was wrong. " Then I turned to Uncle and Aunty and apologized for disturbing them and wasting their time.
" Gautam, please don't go like this, if he has been with her he would have to marry and take full responsibility for her. " Sagar uncle said.
" I beg your pardon, uncle, though I can prove it with a simple DNA report, but I really don't want to do it now. What is the point of forcing someone into a marriage? Please don't worry about me, I am quite strong, can take care of myself and my... And my family is always there for me. " I said and turned to go.
" Gauravi beta, please give us some time, we can sort this matter. Maurvi..." Damini Aunty was saying something to calm me down but I had enough of all that.
" No, Aunty, now I will not accept him, he denied everything and I learnt my lesson. What is the point of proving that I was not lying? I don't want to be in a relationship if I have to prove it. Thanks for your consideration... Have a good day. " I said and came out of their home holding Siddh's hand.
" Why did you refuse to get the DNA test? " Siddh asked.
" Because I don't want to prove anything. "
" Why? "
" I don't want to do anything with him. I don't even want to see his face. " I was on the verge of crying.
" But did you see how he smirked and said sarcastically that you backed out because you can't prove it... I am not asking you to accept him, I will not let you do that even if you want to after the way he behaved just now. But at least, he would not be able to deny it anymore. He accused you of trying to force him into getting married. " Siddh was still very annoyed.
" Please leave the topic. It is very humiliating. I agree that you and Dad were right about him. I made a mistake. Please forgive me. " I said and burst into tears. Siddh embraced me.
" Fine, let's go somewhere, I will inform the hospital that we are not coming today, let's go and have some good time. Where do you want us to go?? " Siddh asked patting my back.
Though he was exactly as old as I was, he had always treated me as a kid sister and was trying to cheer me up while I knew that he was itching to beat Shaurya to a pulp.
" Let's go to the hospital, one of my colleagues is on a long leave, I can't take one as well. I have already taken a leave for almost a month. " I said.
" So what? You can take as many leaves as you want, perks of being the daughter of the owner of the hospital. " Siddh said with a smile.
"Please, Bhai, let's go to hospital, I just want to be busy or I will keep thinking about all this. " I said and he took me to the hospital.
I went to my department and drowned myself in my work. I had many patients waiting for me and I was thankful for that as I didn't get any free time to think about him, the passionate lovemaking between us, and then the way he denied everything outrightly.
My phone was ringing, I looked at the screen, and Roohi was calling me. I took the call.
" Hi!! "
" Hey, where are you?? " She asked from the other side.
" Working in my department. Why? " I replied.
" It is lunchtime, take a break and come, we are waiting for you. "
" We as in? Mihir is also there? Of course, he would be, Roohi, I don't want to meet him, it is getting very awkward. " I said as I was already very upset after what happened at Malhotras' place, I was not in the mood to face any more drama for the day. I knew that Mihir was feeling betrayed the way I was feeling. He had always loved me but I could not spoil his life.
He was upset and was not talking to me, it was hurting me as well because he was my closest friend.
" He is not joining us, he is also trying to avoid you. Please don't do this to us. You both can avoid each other, but why are you avoiding us? Both Vihan and I are missing you like hell, Come here right away. " She said.
" Okay fine, I am coming. " I said and got up to go to the cafeteria.
I was already tired but wanted to distract my mind and enjoy having a carefree quality time with my friends. Though it would never be the same with tension between me and Mihir he would have to understand it one day.
The moment I entered the cafeteria, I saw Roohi and Vihan sitting there and I joined them.
" Are you alright?? " Roohi asked me.
" Of course, I am fine, just too tired, had so many patients for the scan. " I said.
" No, you have had lots have patients every day, you are looking weak. Are you upset about something?" Vihan asked.
" No, I am fine, trust me I am also a doctor, I know, I am fine. " I said.
Gauravi 's POV" Gauravi, I am sorry to say this but I can't stop myself from doing it... You know how much Mihir loves you, right?? Then why did you break his heart? I know, he has been in love with you since we all were in kindergarten. I swear, if I had someone who loved me so much, I would have died for him. " Roohi got emotional saying that, Vihan was looking at her with a weird expression." Oh, please, don't exaggerate! A child in kindergarten doesn't even know about this emotion called love. " Vihan said." I am talking about normal people, everyone is different, Mihir has been in love since then, he is not like you, as you don't know about that emotion even after your post-education." Roohi rolled her eyes and said sarcastically." You are being mean now. I love everyone, every girl has something better than the other so how can I choose one, I want all of them. And I don't chase them they do it. I just don't turn them down. I love all of them. " Vihan said with a smile and w

Concern etched on their faces, they bombarded her with questions about her well-being. Gauravi, still groggy from the ordeal, managed a weak smile, reassured by the familiar faces surrounding her.But the very next moment she touched her belly as if she recalled the baby she carried and the weak smile on her face vanished." Mom, Dad... How is the...?" She started asking but stopped as Mihir, Vihan, and Roohi were there along with other doctors and staff. She looked very uncertain, upset, and vulnerable at the moment, not a very confident and outgoing girl. The news of the child had hit Mihir like a shattering glass, each shard cutting deep into his soul.He saw Gauravi's devastation, the tears streaming down her face, and an ache tore through him. Third person's POVIt had been two hours and Mihir was still standing there, in spite of Maurvi telling him to go and rest as they all were there. But he shook his head and politely refused to go, saying that he was fine and anyway couldn't leave while Gauravi was in this condition.Gauravi looked at him again and asked him to go for his duty but he said that he would take the night shift." Mihir, please go... You will fall sick like that." Gauravi said." Don't worry about me, I am fine, and say whatever you want but I am also here with you, we will take care of the baby. Third person's POVIn the quiet room, the air hung heavy with tension as Gauravi hesitated, her eyes fixed on Mihir. "I can't hide this, Mihir. What if your family finds out later? What if they treat me differently? I don't want to start our life together with a secret."Mihir, determined yet gentle, took her hand. "Gauravi, I know my parents, my dad is impulsive but my mom is very sorted, my Bhai is an angel and you know Mahi, she would never treat you badly. I understand your concerns, so we shouldn't tell anyone because we can't control how they all will react. What matters is us, and our commitment to each other. We can get married first, and when the time is right, we'll share the truth. My parents will understand; they know how much I love you." He said. Gauravi looked at her dad to say something."Mihir, honesty is the foundation of any relationship. Deception, even with good intentions, can lead to complications. We've known your family for years. I don't want to jeopardize th

I had such a good and understanding family and friends. Everything was going so well in my family till the day I decided to go on that trip after my medical conference in Bengaluru, I was literally cursing the day, I went on that trip..." Beta... What are you thinking about?" Mom, I am sorry... " she burst into tears all of a sudden." Shhh!! Why are you saying that? " she asked me." I am really ashamed of what happened. I don't know what happened... He was so good and protective towards me there... If he was not there to save me, I would not have come back from that trip, but today... He... I am so sorry that you were embarrassed in front of your friends. I spoiled your relationship with both Shahs' and Malhotras' " I reply" Don't say anot
Third person's POV Shaurya was still thinking about all this when his phone started ringing. It was an unknown landline number from Karnataka. He picked up the call immediately." Hello, Shlok?? " He said. But he could hear a lot of noise on the other side." Shaurya? Have you reached home? " Shlok asked." Yes!! I came today, how are you?? " Shaurya replied. But the noise on the other side was like that of very bad weather. As if a storm was looming." What?? " He asked as he could not hear it." How are you? When are you coming back?" Shaurya repeated his question." I am fine, you tell me, how's everyone at home? I am missing everyone. How was your trip? " Shlok asked." It was good, I wanted to surprise everyone but I was shocked when I came home. " Shaurya said" What are you saying? I can't hear properly, a storm has hit the area. I may not be able to contact you for a few days as it is going to be bad. "" Wow!! We both are facing the storm..." Shaurya said." What do you mean
Gauravi's POV The next day when I went to the hospital, I told Mihir, Roohi, and Vihan about the conference." Hey, it is such a good idea, I also want to go but I don't have any conference there and can't take the vacation. " Roohi said." Gauravi, why don't you just attend the conference and come back, save the leaves for later, we are going to get married in a few months then we can use the leaves for the honeymoon. I want to go on a honeymoon for a month in Europe. Paris, Switzerland... " Mihir said." Oh, no, I want to see places around Bengaluru, especially, Hampi and after going to Bengaluru, I would not be able to resist going on a trip. And don't worry about the leave, I will talk to Dad and Vikram uncle. We can have a leave for a month. "" But I will worry about you being alone there. " He argued." I can manage on my own. Don't worry about me. " I assured him." We know, he is more worried about the people who will have to tolerate you being on your own. " Vihan said and
