Third person's POV
Mihir's heart raced as he witnessed Gauravi losing her balance near the staircase. Time seemed to slow down, and a sense of helplessness washed over him. "Gauravi!" he shouted, his voice trembling with urgency. Every step felt like an eternity as he desperately tried to reach her in time, but fate seemed determined to play a cruel game.
In that moment, he saw her vulnerability, the fragility of life on full display. Her eyes, filled with tears, just a few moments back, widened with shock now as she teetered on the edge of the staircase. Mihir's instincts screamed at him to save her, to protect the woman he had loved since childhood.
The world blurred as he sprinted towards her, a silent prayer escaping his lips. But before he could wrap his arms around her and pull her to safety, fate intervened mercilessly. Gauravi tumbled, and the horrifying thud echoed in Mihir's ears as she landed on the ground floor.
"Goddd!" he gasped, his heart clenching in agony. Panic and dread seized him as he rushed to her side, a million thoughts racing through his mind. He gently cradled her in his arms, her limp form a stark contrast to the lively woman he knew.
He was too shocked to say anything but he managed to shout somehow which brought the attention of everyone around. " Gauravvviiii!!!!"
Their friends Roohi and Vihan were following them they rushed and were also shocked to see what happened.
" Mihir, come back to your senses. We need to take her to the emergency and inform Gautam uncle. " Roohi shook him, Mihir nodded and when Vihan tried to get her in his arms, he shook his head and asked him to make arrangements, and Roohi to inform Gautam Jindal.
Mihir picked up in his arms and rushed to the emergency ward like a madman. Mihir's eyes never left Gauravi as he carried her, feeling the weight of the situation pressed heavily upon him. He could sense her fragility, her life hanging in the balance. The realization that he might lose her intensified the ache in his chest.
The ward boys came with the stretcher. Vihan helped him lay Gauravi on it properly and they rushed again.
Upon reaching the emergency room, Mihir's world collided with chaos and concern. Doctors, nurses, and the rest of her family rushed around, amplifying the gravity of the situation. He watched, helpless, as they whisked her away for immediate medical attention.
The on-duty doctor was waiting there to attend to her immediately. But he was the junior doctor.
" Vihan, call Dr Rajeev here right away! " Mihir shouted and Vihan who was the son of the other owner of the hospital, Dr Vikram Singh Rathore, nodded and started making arrangements.
In the sterile, bustling corridors of the multi-specialty hospital, shock and sorrow permeated the air as the news of Gauravi's fall spread like wildfire among the medical staff.
Gautam, Gauravi's father, came running along with his nephew Siddh. Roohi had gone to inform them and, they were shocked as hell.
Despite being the owner of the multi-specialty hospital, Gautam was feeling a profound sense of helplessness. His usually composed demeanor crumbled as he rushed towards the emergency room, the weight of the situation bearing down on him.
As he entered the room and saw Gauravi lying unconscious on the bed, his heart sank. A mixture of fear and anguish clouded his eyes. Gautam, a seasoned radiologist, was accustomed to diagnosing and treating others, but the vulnerability of his own daughter shook him to the core. He turned to the attending doctor, his voice edged with desperation, "Do whatever it takes to save her. She's my daughter, my Gauravi. Please, save her." His voice was breaking.
The hospital's emergency room became a frantic battleground of emotions.
Siddharth and Shruti, (Siddh's parents and Gauravi's paternal uncle and his wife) also came rushing as soon as the news spread to the dermatology department.
In the waiting room, surrounded by the worried faces of her family and friends, Mihir's mind raced through the memories he shared with Gauravi. From their innocent days in kindergarten to the complexities of adulthood, she had been the constant thread in the fabric of his life. A life that now seemed fragile, just like hers.
Amid the chaos, Siddh, Gauravi's protective brother, paced anxiously. His hands clenched into fists, and his jaw tightened with worry. Siddh had always been overprotective of Gauravi, and the mere thought of her suffering sent a surge of protective rage through him. He glared at the hospital staff, silently warning them not to falter in their duty.
When Maurvi, Gauravi's mother, arrived at the scene, (as she was not present in the hospital), the sight of her daughter in distress, through that glass window, shattered her composure. Tears streamed down her face as she wanted to go to Gauravi's side, her hands trembling.
"Gauravi, my child!" she sobbed, her heartache echoing in her voice. Maurvi's maternal instincts kicked in, and she clung to the hope that her daughter would pull through.
In the emergency room, the medical team worked tirelessly.
Time seemed to stretch endlessly, each passing moment intensifying the collective worry of Gauravi's family. Siddh's fierce protectiveness manifested in his stern expression, a silent vow to shield his sister from any harm.
Siddh's eyes never left Gauravi. He muttered silent prayers, his emotions oscillating between anger and anguish. The weight of his sister's well-being rested heavily on his shoulders, and he struggled to contain the whirlwind of emotions raging within him.
He asked everyone what happened, and Roohi told him everything. While Mihir was sitting like a statue, it seemed that he was not there. Tears were flowing from his eyes.
Siddh got angry and cursed Shaurya once and said that he would kill him, but as soon as he realized where he was, he tried to control his anger as he didn't want to create any controversy here in the hospital, didn't want to give a topic for the gossip to others. But he wanted to kill Shaurya at the moment but he could not leave his sister like this here.
Shaurya would have to pay for his deeds very soon. Gauravi and Siddh were born on the same day, of the same month and year. They have been very close to each other just like twins but both had different sets of friends. So he was very upset and tense.
Gautam, while maintaining a facade of professionalism, could hardly conceal the emotional turmoil that gripped him. The hospital owner now faced the reality that even the most advanced medical facilities couldn't shield his own family from life's uncertainties.
As Maurvi asked her husband Gautam about the baby, Mihir got the news about Gauravi's pregnancy, and his heart sank. Mixed emotions churned within him- the heartbreak of realizing it wasn't his child. The room felt heavy with silence hung in the air. Does that mean that she was pregnant with Shaurya's child and he refused to accept it??
He was feeling angry, cheated, frustrated, helpless, and heartbroken.
Yet, Mihir's love for Gauravi eclipsed the pain. He decided to stand by her side, ready to accept her and the child, a testament to the depth of his feelings. Love, in its truest form, stood resilient in the face of adversity.
Third person's POV Relief washed over the family as Gauravi regained consciousness after about an hour. The room echoed with a collective exhale as they gathered around her bed. Concern etched on their faces, they bombarded her with questions about her well-being. Gauravi, still groggy from the ordeal, managed a weak smile, reassured by the familiar faces surrounding her.But the very next moment she touched her belly as if she recalled the baby she carried and the weak smile on her face vanished." Mom, Dad... How is the...?" She started asking but stopped as Mihir, Vihan, and Roohi were there along with other doctors and staff. She looked very uncertain, upset, and vulnerable at the moment, not a very confident and outgoing girl. The news of the child had hit Mihir like a shattering glass, each shard cutting deep into his soul.He saw Gauravi's devastation, the tears streaming down her face, and an ache tore through him. In that moment of vulnerability, he knew that he couldn't lea
Third person's POVIt had been two hours and Mihir was still standing there, in spite of Maurvi telling him to go and rest as they all were there. But he shook his head and politely refused to go, saying that he was fine and anyway couldn't leave while Gauravi was in this condition.Gauravi looked at him again and asked him to go for his duty but he said that he would take the night shift." Mihir, please go... You will fall sick like that." Gauravi said." Don't worry about me, I am fine, and say whatever you want but I am also here with you, we will take care of the baby. You are a doctor, you know that we can do it. " He said and tears started flowing from her eyes.Mihir's earnest declaration of wanting to marry Gauravi despite the heart-wrenching circumstances – the room was filled with a mixture of surprise and relief. The Jindal family exchanged glances, and a palpable sense of gratitude washed over them. Third person's POVIn the quiet room, the air hung heavy with tension as Gauravi hesitated, her eyes fixed on Mihir. "I can't hide this, Mihir. What if your family finds out later? What if they treat me differently? I don't want to start our life together with a secret."Mihir, determined yet gentle, took her hand. "Gauravi, I know my parents, my dad is impulsive but my mom is very sorted, my Bhai is an angel and you know Mahi, she would never treat you badly. I understand your concerns, so we shouldn't tell anyone because we can't control how they all will react. What matters is us, and our commitment to each other. We can get married first, and when the time is right, we'll share the truth. My parents will understand; they know how much I love you." He said. Gauravi looked at her dad to say something."Mihir, honesty is the foundation of any relationship. Deception, even with good intentions, can lead to complications. We've known your family for years. I don't want to jeopardize th

I had such a good and understanding family and friends. Everything was going so well in my family till the day I decided to go on that trip after my medical conference in Bengaluru, I was literally cursing the day, I went on that trip..." Beta... What are you thinking about?" Mom, I am sorry... " she burst into tears all of a sudden." Shhh!! Why are you saying that? " she asked me." I am really ashamed of what happened. I don't know what happened... He was so good and protective towards me there... If he was not there to save me, I would not have come back from that trip, but today... He... I am so sorry that you were embarrassed in front of your friends. I spoiled your relationship with both Shahs' and Malhotras' " I reply" Don't say anot
Third person's POV Shaurya was still thinking about all this when his phone started ringing. It was an unknown landline number from Karnataka. He picked up the call immediately." Hello, Shlok?? " He said. But he could hear a lot of noise on the other side." Shaurya? Have you reached home? " Shlok asked." Yes!! I came today, how are you?? " Shaurya replied. But the noise on the other side was like that of very bad weather. As if a storm was looming." What?? " He asked as he could not hear it." How are you? When are you coming back?" Shaurya repeated his question." I am fine, you tell me, how's everyone at home? I am missing everyone. How was your trip? " Shlok asked." It was good, I wanted to surprise everyone but I was shocked when I came home. " Shaurya said" What are you saying? I can't hear properly, a storm has hit the area. I may not be able to contact you for a few days as it is going to be bad. "" Wow!! We both are facing the storm..." Shaurya said." What do you mean
Gauravi's POV The next day when I went to the hospital, I told Mihir, Roohi, and Vihan about the conference." Hey, it is such a good idea, I also want to go but I don't have any conference there and can't take the vacation. " Roohi said." Gauravi, why don't you just attend the conference and come back, save the leaves for later, we are going to get married in a few months then we can use the leaves for the honeymoon. I want to go on a honeymoon for a month in Europe. Paris, Switzerland... " Mihir said." Oh, no, I want to see places around Bengaluru, especially, Hampi and after going to Bengaluru, I would not be able to resist going on a trip. And don't worry about the leave, I will talk to Dad and Vikram uncle. We can have a leave for a month. "" But I will worry about you being alone there. " He argued." I can manage on my own. Don't worry about me. " I assured him." We know, he is more worried about the people who will have to tolerate you being on your own. " Vihan said and
Gauravi's POV The journey commenced with a pickup from the hotel in Bangalore, the beautiful landscape unfolded outside the window, on road leading to Chitradurga. The arrival at Chitradurga Fort was met with awe as the imposing structure stood against the backdrop of rocky hills. The fort, a historical giant with many doors and carvings, welcomed me into its embrace.I traversed the fort's passages, imagining the lives that once thrived within these walls. The absence of a guide allowed my imagination to run wild, constructing narratives that echoed through time. The road to Hampi beckoned, promising a continuation of the historical saga. The overnight stay at the hotel became a tranquil interlude, a moment to unwind and prepare for the days that would unfold like chapters in a captivating novel. The journey had just begun, and I was excited for the next day.As the golden rays of dawn painted the landscape, I embarked on the second day of my journey through Karnataka—a voyage into
Gauravi's POVAmid the delightful chaos of the dining area, my attention was momentarily diverted. A familiar face caught my eye. I looked again. How is that possible?? Was he Shaurya Malhotra?? No!! A wave of disbelief swept over me; how could he be here, in this unexpected setting?I closed my eyes and opened them again hoping that I was imagining him. But he was here. What was he doing here?? He was the son of my dad's friend. I had never liked him and his twin Shlok. Shlok was too boring and Shaurya thinks too highly of himself and was a confirmed Casanova, who changed his girls like shirts. Was he here with some girl? I looked around but he seemed to be alone. There was something odd, though this man looked like him, he looked somewhat different as well. I was still confused if he was Shaurya or not.But why should I be bothered??I looked again, he had not noticed me till now so I thought of avoiding him and started enjoying my food again. But as I continued to enjoy my meal,
