She opened her eyes and gently pushed him away.
"What are you doing?" She asked, even though she knew what he was doing. He sighed and stood up.
"You won't understand." He said, she frowned.
"What do you mean by that? I'm asking you what were you doing just now?" She stood up too, she could feel herself starting to get angry.
"And I said, you wouldn't understand. Listen, just forget it." He said, She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Okay, we have to work together. So, I'm going to forget that you tried to kiss me."
"Just like that? You won't get angry? You won't slap me or something?" He asked, he was trying to get a reaction out of her.
She looked at him in disbelief.
"What do you want from me?"
"Do something. Anything, why are you so nice to everybody around you? I just fucking tried to kiss you. If you didn't want me to do that then why didn't you get angry?"
"I don't want to reply to this, if you want to work with me forget about today so that we can complete this project in peace and never talk to each other again."
He stared at her, his face held no expressions.
"I'll see you tomorrow." He said and without sparing her a single glance walked towards the door and left.
She took a deep breath and sat down on her bed. Tears were swimming in her eyes. What just happened? And why was she feeling sad? It wasn't as if she tried to make a move on him. It felt like she nearly cheated on Jace. Even though that wasn't the case.
How could she cheat on him when he wasn't even...
This thought caused her to burst into tears as she placed her hand over her heart. God, she missed him so much.
So damn much.
She knew she could never move on from that terrible night.
She didn't want to move on from that terrible night.
And she wasn't nice, she was just tired.
Tired of the world. Tired of people.
She was done.
She didn't believe in fate anymore, she didn't believe in people. They tell you that they'll always be there for you.
But all people do is lie.
She'll be damned if she trusted anyone again.
She didn't need love in her life. She was okay with Jace's memories. She knew she could live like that, no matter what people said about her.
She closed her eyes, but something was bothering her. Why did Camden have such an effect on her?
She had to make sure that she never sees him again after completing this project.
This thought made her cry harder. This thought broke her heart.
Why? Why was this breaking her heart? did she want to keep on seeing him? keep on talking to him?
What was wrong with her? She didn't deserve to be happy. She shouldn't be happy when Jace isn't here.
When Jace's family is suffering. And she was the reason for this even though they assured her it wasn't her fault. But she knew.
She wiped her tears with shaking hands and looked towards the door.
Should I follow him?
She shook her head.
Why would she follow him?
Let yourself suffer till the end, Lillian.
Let yourself suffer until there's no choice but to end everything.
Everything.
Lillian“I killed him, Faith.”Those were the first words she said as soon as she opened her eyes. Tears had formed in her eyes; as his image appeared in her mind.It had been a year since that gruesome night and she still had nightmares about it.It was midnight when she woke up, covered in sweat and gasping for breath. She had seen him again. Covered in blood. She sat up on her bed and clutched her heart. She wished
English had always been her favorite subject. But she was nervous about the project, what would it be about? Who would be her partner? What’s going to happen? She had a lot of questions about it in her mind. She kept looking around the class nervously, trying to figure out who’d be the best partner for her. One thing she knew for sure, that Mr. Winters would never pair her up with Faith because he knew that they were best friends and he had this thing about teamwork and working with new people stuff.“Okay people, I know you all are excited to find out what this year’s project is going to be about and who will you get paired up
It was there six months anniversary. The weather was bad, it was snowing and they wereadvisedto stay at home. But he wanted to make everything special. He had told her to get ready till eight o’clock. She knew he would take her somewhere for a nice dinner and maybe, they’ll have their special night for the first time. She had been so happy. But nothing turned out to be the way she thought. The next thing she knew was darkness.

“And I’m trying, I promise. But I miss you every day,”shetold him, she was positive he was listening to her.She wiped away her tears and tried to smile.“Jace, are you okay up there?” she asked while running her hand over his headstone. It was Sunday, she usually came here on Sundays to talk to him. To tell him about her week and everything.
The cold breeze touched her face, causing her to close her eyes. After a while, she took a deep breath and closed the window. She turned and gathered her dark blond hair into a ponytail while looking around her room, It was messy but she didn't care. It had been raining all night and the weather was pleasant. She had tried to skip school but her mother didn't let her do that. She arrived home a little late today and now was waiting for him to arrive. He was going to come up with that scene he told her he would write and she was looking forward to it. She didn't know why probably because of the lack of romance in her life. She opened her cupboard and took out a framed photo of Jace and her, she looked at it and smiled. It had been a good day at the beach. He'd tried to teach her how to surf, everything had been perfect. She shook her head and was just going to put the frame back in the cupboard when she heard a knock on her bedroom door.
