Hello readers. This is today's second chapter.. Thank you Ashley Hansen for the constant support. Hey Doris! I try to update daily once or twice depending on the time I get. Ben, Maria, and Valerie. Thank you lovelies. xoxo Lisa Salman-author
Sarah povF*ck! F*ck!She was NOT screwing around. The baby girl was doing a night job, that too by Justin’s permission!“Holy, Moly Shit!”Shella cursed behind me while Nadia and I were standing dumbly.“Justin is the one providing her with the staircase. Sean was right, Sarah.” Nadia spoke for the first time, “Justin is not serious about this girl. Just imagine! Someone of Justin’s caliper can’t even provide his wife with basics?”Shella nodded at me, “Nadia is right. There is a possibility that Ashley might have demanded Justin some money for her daily expenditures and Justin must have given her the piece of his mind.”My friends were right. A man who would want to start a serious relationship with a woman would never let her go for doing an odd job in a small café or ice cream shop.“Then why he is mad at me?” I asked no one in particular, “Why would he kick me out of the house if he doesn’t care enough?”A picture of them lying beside each other on that ledge popped up in my mind
Sarah I was not expecting Ashley, sitting in the kitchen and chatting with Justin. The good thing was they were not close and were thankfully maintaining a decent distance. It seemed like a friendly conversation. The moment I climbed in the back of the car with Justin beside me, I sent a quick message to Shella reminding her to talk to Ashley about Justin’s not-so-near birthday. After telling the driver about our drop point, I turned just in time to catch Justin typing a message with that rare smile on his face. He shoved the phone back into his jacket pocket, but that smile remained pasted on his face. No, he could not be texting Ashley when he just left her in the kitchen. Was he seeing someone else? Instead of keeping track of Ashley should I go after him? Using his influence, he arranged a seven-star hotel for the guests. Apparently, the hotel thought the guests would be coming the next day. It was all a misunderstanding. ***Ashley Walters pov It was again a sandwich brea
Sarah pov “Happy birthday, Justin! Happy birthday to dear Justin! Happy birthday to you!” I was trying to mimic Pashley and my friends were laughing their lungs out, holding their tummies. “Stop it, Sarah!” Nadia pressed her face with her palms, “My cheeks hurt!” “No. Now listen up!” Shella stood up and went to the door. She turned and started walking to us with a straight posture and stoic expression. Oh my God! She was mimicking Justin. “Hey, Ashley!” She looked towards me trying to make her voice a little heavier, “What is this all about?” “Oh, Justin! My husband! Today is your birthday, right? I brought a cake for you.” I fluttered my eyes and joined my palms, “Please accept it, your highness!” “What? Your Highness?” Nadia again started laughing, “You two are funny!” “Cake? Where is the cake, Pashley?” Shella asked me in a stern tone. “Oh,” I picked up a disposable plate and brought it to her face, “Here is the cake, your highness. I will be highly obliged if you will hono
Ashley Wallters No matter, how mentally prepared he might be. But nothing could have prepared him for this licking. With his sharp intake of breath, I saw his eyes going wide with surprise flickering in those amber orbs. “Do you like it?” I whispered against his face. The corners of my eyes must have creased into thin lines when I saw him nodding his head again. “Do you want me to do it again?” I did not want to sound desperate. But hell! This time it was my turn to get the shock when he shook his face. It was a no! “But why Justin? If you like it, then why can’t I do it anymore?” We kept looking at each other. I detected a flicker of desire in his eyes and he tried to mask something. “Because …” He tried to speak and then cleared his throat. “Because? Go ahead, Justin?” “Because one more time you will lick me.” He bent forward to take me in his arms and dragged me to him, engulfing my slender body in his. “… Your tongue touching my nose might lead to other things, Ashley.”
Sarah “I am throwing this party around noon just because of you. Will it be good?” I found Pashley in the living room reading a book on the couch. Her eyes snapped up to eye me casually, “Noon? Ok. Cool. Count me in.” She smiled and got busy with the book again. “What are you reading by the way?” I went to her and plopped beside her. “Found it in Justin’s study.” She showed me the book cover and again got busy. Justin never allowed anyone to take the book outside his study. “Justin is quite protective of his books,” I peeked into the pages she was reading, “How you managed that?” She turned her head towards me and smiled, “I did not ask for permission. Simple.” She said with a wink and closed the book placing it on the table. She might have guessed that I won’t let her read in peace. She was just a maid but was getting confident at horse speed. “So. Who is your father?” In no way, I was trying to mock her but still felt her going stiff under my gaze, “I am sorry. I never want
Sarah povI got ready and stepped back from the mirror.“Babe! No one can look this killer in a pencil skirt. Black suits you.” Nadia let out a low whistle and came forward when I raised my hands for a side braid.“Leave your hair, lady. Your fiancé is accompanying you. Let him see those reddish blond locks.” She gave a light slap on my hand, “You look lovely.”I shrugged with a reluctant smile and let my hair cascade my shoulders, “Its … just … an official meeting, sweet.”“Sarah!” Shella called me while making some notes in her diary, “For the party, should I invite Kate?”Kate was the same redhead who was crazy after Justin and got me stuck with this crazy dare.“Why?” I cocked up a brow arrogantly and pouted, “I don’t want that girl in my house. She is one of those who never got happy when I got engaged to Justin.”“Hey, sweetie.” Shella closed the diary and turned to me, “Come to think of it. Let that bit*ch meet Ashley. They both would not only hate each other but also might end
Ashley Walters pov All my dresses were lying on the carpeted floor. Just two hours before the party, I had still not decided what to wear. In the orphanage, I never gave a damn. For me, denim with a t-shirt used to do the job. This was something else. “Kitten, believe me. You will look beautiful whatever you choose to wear.” Justin took his jacket out of the closet, “There are so many options. Choose, what is easy for you to carry.” Ah! Men! They don’t face what we women face every day. For them, it’s either a t-shirt or a jacket, or a tuxedo. “I wish, I was a man!” I complained and sat down beside the huge pile, “But being a woman has its own advantages.” “Such as?” There was a playful smile on his lips. “Being a woman means getting a chance to do all that se*y stuff with you… After two days!” I chewed my lower lip and avoided looking at him. “Woman! Get a hold. Otherwise, I might…” His voice had turned husky. Knock! “Master Deluca. Your car is ready.” Alex was outside the
Sarah pov Oh! Damn! I made her drunk to let her do something indecent or stupid. Like ending up with someone in a make out session or having s*x with a stranger in the corner of the hall. Even if she would make a pass on a man, Keith will witness it and tell Justin. I would come out clean. Right? But no. She was too drunk and instead of keeping something secret as instructed in her contract, she was telling Kate that she was Justin’s wife. If this was a movie, I would have laughed my lungs out along with my friends. But this girl had some guts. She was confident throughout the party. Even managed to cover her initial awkwardness quite proficiently. But according to her, she was planning to have s*x with Justin! After two days! No! No… No … No! This was proving to be my biggest nightmare. Kate was standing there with her lips not too slightly apart as if she wanted to swallow Ashley. “She …” I cleared my throat, “She is kidding.” I let out a throaty laugh, “She is funny. Ha-ha

Sophia’s pov: Colter was smart, intelligent, and the school’s soccer team captain. For every girl, he was an ideal. But he chose me as his girlfriend. We were good initially but then he started showing his true colors. “Your cousin is a creep, Sophie. He keeps staring at you. The little boy can’t control his urges,” he used to make fun of Rowan and I never liked it. “He is NOT my cousin, Colt.” I used to defend Rowan and that used to annoy him even more. “Yeah. Whatever. He is younger, Sophie. Just a kid! Don’t ever forget that. Trust me! Nobody wants to date a baby.” His remark tugged my heartstrings that day. Every other day he used to get aggressive and used to remind me that Rowan was just a mere kid. Most of the time his aggression used to be due to Rowan. He disliked it when Rowan used to sit right opposite our place in the cafeteria. He easily could get offended if he would find Rowan, visiting my place. I tried convincing him that Rowan was a family friend but failed.
Rowan’s pov:The girl in my arms was sleeping soundly. She was making me feel like my arms were the best place where she could get that deep sleep. She was making me feel like I was a safe haven for her. That fuc*ker Colter tried to take away her spirit. Her soul. But she did it. She defeated him. The day she called me for help, I knew how much courage she must have gathered to do it. To type that single message. That single word.“Rowan!” she murmured in her sleep and stirred in my arms.“Go to sleep, Sophie. You are safe.” I said and closed my eyes but the she-devil close to me, kept rubbing herself against me intimately.“Soph!” I whispered and she made a pout in her sleep and opened her sleep-filled hooded eyes to look at me, “Go to sleep, love.”I tried to control my desire shooting up by her touch. She shook her head and started rubbing her cheek against my chest skin.“You smell amazing, Rowan.” She started kissing my chest and then climbed up to bring her face close to mine, “
Rowan Levisay pov I looked down at the delicate girl in my arms who, very slowly, was now getting closer to me. She already lived in my heart and had, at last, started seeing me. The only difference was, she spotted me after twenty-five goddamn years. And I noticed her when I was just two. She used to sit cozily in bed with my sisters. I could hear their giggling sounds in my cot and always wanted to get down so that I could join the fun. Sometimes, Mom used to allow me to go to them. They used to cuddle me in between and all I wanted at that time was to sit beside my girl. She used to get irritated by my presence, and how I used to cling to her, stare at her. “Mom! I think she doesn’t like me.” While growing up, the four years old me, asked my mom. She smiled and made me sit on her lap. “She might see you if you stop clinging to her. Nobody likes that, Rowan. Everyone loves to have some space, son.” In my teenage years, I could never make a steady girlfriend. Because they all u
Sophia’s pov. Restless, I continued to toss and turn in my bed, the weight of my past worries pressing heavily upon my chest. The hushed murmurs drifting up from downstairs did confirm what I already knew. My parents were still awake and their concern for me was refusing to let them succumb to sleep. Normally, my parents were early sleepers, but tonight was different. Tonight, their parental instincts were on high alert, their worry for me was palpable in the air. Ever since I could remember, they were protective of me and had shielded me from harm, nurtured me with unwavering love and care. As my adoptive parents, they made me and Jackson their utmost priority. They never let us feel that I was adopted and that Jackson was their own blood. As the minutes ticked by, I couldn't help but reflect on the countless times they had been my pillars of strength. They had been my unwavering support, always there to lend a hand or offer to just listen to me. To make me feel heard. And now,
Emerald's pov: The weight of her words settled upon us like a heavy burden, each of us grappling with our own emotions. But at that moment, amidst the chaos of thoughts and feelings, one thing was clear — Sophie had endured some kind of ordeal. Something that was beyond our thoughts, and we had to listen, support, and help her find solace in our embrace. “Talk to us, love.” Rafael encouraged her to speak, “What is it? What did Colt do to you?” his voice seemed tense. “If I will tell you then would you believe me?” She asked Rafael innocently. Like a baby. Gosh! I wanted to cry. I could not wait to be alone and cry in my husband’s arms. But right now, we both needed to stay strong. “Yes, we will.” Abigail spoke with determination, “You are our kid. Why won’t we trust you?” The moment Abigail said that Sophia started crying. Her tears started slipping down her smooth cheeks. “Sophie?” Rafael and I both called her name. We both were shocked. “Mom! Dad! The one month I was with him
Emerald's pov:Sophia was trembling while taking hesitant steps forward. She looked exhausted as if she had been through an ordeal that no words could adequately describe. The room remained silent, each of us holding our breath, waiting for her to speak.I saw Hunter gesturing for his investigators to leave the room without a sound. Finally, Sophia’s voice broke the silence, which was weak yet determined. "I... I'm sorry. I never meant to cause you all this worry. It's... it's complicated. I'll explain, I promise."Rafael and I exchanged glances, a mix of relief and concern etched on our faces. We moved closer to Sophia, enveloping her in a gentle embrace, offering comfort and reassurance. The room slowly came alive with a mixture of relief, confusion, and a silent desire for answers.Hunter, his voice laced with a mix of relief and urgency, stepped forward. "Sophie, we've been searching for you. Where have you been? Are you alright?"Sophia took a deep breath, her eyes darting around
Emerald Wyatt pov: (Sophia’s foster mom)“Emerald. Stop crying.” Abigail Levisay hugged me tightly, “Hunter has called Rowan and he will be here any minute. We will find Sophie. Don’t lose hope.”Tears were streaming down my face. I was sitting on the armchair, clutching a tissue in my trembling hands. Abigail Levisay … my compassionate friend and Rowan’s mom was kneeling beside me, offering comfort.I was sobbing uncontrollably, struggling to compose myself.“I can't help it, Abigail. I'm so scared for Sophie. It's been two days, and we still have no idea where she could be. And now with Colter found dead ... What if something terrible has happened to my daughter too?”Abigail wrapped her arms around me, holding me tightly. She shushed me gently, “I know, darling. It's an incredibly distressing situation, but we have to stay strong. We can't lose hope. Hunter has called Rowan, and he's on his way here. Rowan has connections. Along with Hunter, he can locate Sophie. We're going to fin
Sophia pov:Without another word, he started rubbing my back with soapy hands. Placing my palms on the bathroom walls, I closed my eyes feeling his touch on my body and then my hair with a whiff of my shampoo. He opened the shower and started washing the sand off my hair. I held my breath when I felt his hands unusually lingering on my bre*asts.“May I?” I asked him, offering him the same comfort. He slowly shook his head and wrapped a bathrobe around me.“I can’t risk that, Sophie.” He draped a towel around my hair like a turban. He was still wearing his costume while I was there without a piece of clothing, “I can take my shower later.”True to his word, he didn’t even bat an eye on my nak*edness.“I promise, I would be decent enough not to sed*uce you,” I said mischievously making him chuckle.“And do you think that would make me happy, princess?” he placed his palms on either side of me on the walls of the bathroom behind me,His eyes were searching mine with a mixture of seriousn
