I'm not sure what happened. Part of this is my fault. I didn't want to believe that Joseph was right. No one has ever been able to stop our dragons, and that was my issue.

I didn't want to believe it, so I didn't take precautions, which led to them instantly taking us down and leaving the entire army force weak.

The last thing I remember was the pain in my back. Then, suddenly, I was awake and heard Celine scream. I had no choice; I could have saved her in my human form, but all the sides of me panicked, and I shifted into Helios.

My eyes flicker to her in my arms, and I know I scared her. So, for now, I will stay as me and keep Helios locked away. When she's feeling safer, she can meet Helios again.

"Their men have given up," a soldier says as we step out of the cells. I glance across the grounds and see them all kneeling.

"And the Alpha and Luna?" I ask. I've not seen the Alpha since I was shot.

"Alpha Dale is there," he says as he points towards where the Alpha is restrai
