My palms become clammy as I watch Elijah silently navigate his way through his phone, its bright screen casting a heavy glow around him as it illuminates the dimly lit room while his fingers thud harshly against the digital screen. I watch as his hand shakes furiously while he pens an unseen message, taking his time to read over what he had just written before raising the device to his ear. Within a few moments, the familiar outgoing dialling tone faintly sounds from the mobile held within his palm while he impatiently waits for the unknown callee to answer. His foot rhythmically tapping against the flooring in sync with the ringing chime as he frowningly gazes upwards.

“Hey, Tyler-“ Elijah announces before taking in a deep breath; his expression lifting slightly as a wave of relief rolls across his face while he pauses, revealing the identity of the mysterious recipient as they answer on the other end, “-uh, not really. I need you to check something over for me. Take a look
