Chapter 4

Vidhi's POV

" Hi  Shubh, How are you? I hope you are fine after this little accident. "

Bhai asked and the handsome man, I mean Shubh nodded but I saw a shy smile on his face.

Awww... I liked that. 

" Shubh, I would like you to meet my sister Vidhi. Vidhi he is Shubh. And she is Sandhya,  Shubh's sister." 

I smiled shyly at Shubh. Shubh was also smiling. Then I realised that bhai just introduced me to my would-be bhabhi. 

OMG !! My bhabhi... I turned towards her hugged her hard. So that handsome man was bhabhi's brother?? Interesting...

She looked somewhat shocked but hugged me back. She smiled and said,  " Nice to meet you. I am sorry, I didn't recognise you earlier, we have met only on a few occasions and since then you have really grown up. "

" Same here and yes, we have met but you have changed a lot too, you look very different now. I didn't recognise you " I said with a smile.

Bhai was trying to stop himself from laughing. Why?? 

With the corner of my eyes, I could see that Shubh was still looking at me. My heart was racing.

" Let's go Shubh, I am not feeling well," Bhabhi said. 

" Yes, sure... Did you invite your friends for your engagement tomorrow? 

"Err... "

" I thought so... I will do it for you." Then he turned towards us and said, "My sister is getting engaged tomorrow so be there. Nice meeting you, Vidhi. Hope to see you there too." I smiled and nodded and Bhai smiled devilishly. 

What was going on?? Why was he talking to us like that?? Didn't he know that Bhai and Sandhya were getting married?? 

Why did he invite Bhai to the engagement?? And of course, I would attend my brother's engagement. What was bhai hiding as he was smiling and didn't look confused by his behaviour? 

Bhai took a few steps and stood by bhabhi and caught her hand and said, " Congratulations !!! Sweetheart, I will definitely be there tomorrow. Shubh, she has a headache please take care of her. Sandhya, Bye take care sweetheart. Take proper rest. So that you are as fresh as a flower tomorrow for your engagement. See you tomorrow. "

What was going on?? 

I looked at Shubh, he was smiling and looking at me.  

Shubh invited all her friends. They all asked him about the man to whom bhabhi was getting married to. But he said that they all can meet him tomorrow.

We came out of the hospital and I asked Bhai, " Bhai what was that??  Shubh does not know that you are the man who is getting engaged to bhabhi?? Why did he invite you to your own engagement? " 

Bhai burst out laughing and told me his plan to surprise bhabhi. Really my Bhai was besotted. I shook my head.

He took me to a big mall where we went to a very big showroom of jewellery. 

" Wow, Bhai... They seem to have everything under one roof. " 

" This is Mehul's showroom. He just opened it. " Bhai informed me and we went to meet Mehul bhaiya in his office. He was so excited to see us.

" Oh !! Who is this little princess??" Mehul Bhai asked looking at me. 

" I am not that little bhaiya. " I said and he laughed. 

" So what brings you here?? Were you missing me so much?? I was coming to your party tomorrow. " 

" I want an engagement ring. " 

" Wow !! Isn't it a bit early?? I mean you have your engagement tomorrow, You could have bought it tomorrow. " He laughed at Bhai and I joined him. 

" Stop pulling my leg. I was busy and so I forgot. " Bhai said. 

" You know he was in the hospital and I went there to drag him for shopping. Or he would have come tomorrow only. "  I said and Bhai shook his head while Mehul bhaiya laughed. 

Mehul Bhai called one of his man to get some nice rings. He brings many designs. We select one of them. And then I told that mom wanted to see a few more things. 

Mehul Bhai says, " Oh, ok if aunty is busy, I will send pictures and once she selects some designs, I will send one of my men to your place. You can keep whatever you want. But I would prefer if she can come. I would like her to come here so that I can show her around. She is just like my mom. " 

" Sure, I will bring her here after the engagement. " Bhai said. 

We took the ring and then we went to do more shopping. By the time we came back, we both were very tired. 

Shubh's POV

We settled in the car and Sandy said, " What is wrong with you Shubh?? He called me sweetheart in front of you. He even caught my hand and you were smiling?? "  She was so shocked that I did not react at all.  

" So is that a big deal? " I was trying to control my laughter. I wanted to tell her about the secret but I could not ruin Vikram ji's surprise. Even I wanted to see what her reaction would be 

I was sure that she liked him too now. Just was in denial because of what happened in the past. 

" Big deal??? You used to beat boys even if they would just look at me. Or even thought about talking to me... '

" You are making a hill out of mole... He was just being friendly and concerned with you. Hey !! By the way, don't you think, Vidhi is beautiful...? "

What?? Beautiful?? Well yes, she was... But why did I say that?? Where did it come from?? 

I just wanted to change the topic but... beautiful?? 

That's not me. How could I say that for her? I had never called any girl like that. Why now? 

She is Vikram's sister. And Vikram... I mean Vikram Ji is going to be our Kanwar Sa. I could not think about her like that. 

I was trying not to think about that very beautiful face. It was still fresh in my mind. She was really beautiful...  

The way she fell on me and stayed there for those few moments, I felt really good and elated. She had such beautiful almond-shaped deep brown eyes with long eyelashes. 

Her lips were sinfully beautiful and plump. I had never felt like that before in my entire life. I wanted to touch her face and her lips. I was attracted to her. 

Oh, God!!  I had never felt such a strong pull towards anyone. What was happening?? 

Shit !!! Don't think about her... She is not beautiful. Not at all beautiful. 

We reached home and my mom and mamiji were very happy to see her at home so early. 

They asked her to accompany them to the market but she refused saying that she had a headache. I gave her medicine and asked her to sleep. I knew she was feeling bad for being forced to marry a stranger. 

I came to my room and lied down on the bed and that beautiful... I mean not at all beautifully face kept coming to my mind. 

I still remember the way my body reacted when our bodies were in close in contact. I still remember how my heart stopped when she fell on me and then fluttered with double speed when she kept looking at me lying on top of me. Her soft body felt so good against my hard body. I could have stayed like that forever...

Oh Hello !!! Come back on earth. My inner soul said.

But I ignored it and thought how would it feel like to touch her soft pink lips with mine. 

Oh please yaar... Think of something else. It said again.

Shit!! What am I doing?? I have never thought about a girl like that till now. I can't think about her like that. What would Vikram Ji think??? 

No... I would not think about her. I was very tired but got up and went out to do something to keep my mind away from thinking about her.

It was their engagement. Vikram ji had come with his family. We welcomed him and made them comfortable.  My mom asked me to go and get her here for the ceremony. 

I went to meet her, she was looking very sad. I didn't want to see her like that and said, " Are you ok? You are not looking happy. "

" Bhai, I don't know.... but I don't want to marry an unknown man. " She said with a sad expression, I smiled and hugged her.

" Trust me, Sandy, he is a very good man. You would be very happy with him. If I had not met him, I would have agreed with you. He is very good, trust me. "

" But, I don't have any feelings for him. I don't even know his name. How would I spend my entire life with him? " 

" Do you have feelings for someone else?" I asked her.

" I don't know. " She said.

But I knew she liked Vikram Ji...

Someone knocked on the door. I said, " Come in please." 

It was a very pretty girl. She came in and went near her and hugged Sandy. She went away after a few minutes. 

Mamiji also came to her room and we both took her out for the ceremony.
