Chapter 6

Vidhi's POV 

There was no one in the room. I went inside and waited for two minutes and then I realised that it didn't look like a girl's room. All the decorations and the colour scheme were telling me that it belonged to a man. 

Shit !! I was in the wrong room. 

I hurriedly moved to get out of the room as soon as possible.  But the pencil heel of my footwear got tangled with the soft and furry grey coloured rug near the bed. 

Just then the knob on the door twisted and someone was about to open the door. I panicked and forgot that my heel was stuck and I started walking. 

And I lost my balance again and this time also two very strong arms held me tightly and saved me from kissing the floor. 

I saw it was Shubh as I had guessed even before I looked at his handsome face. 

His arms were still around me. He was shocked to see me at first. But now he was looking at me with amusement. 

Oh no !!

What would he think about me?? That I am so clumsy... I keep bumping into walls, doors and people. And if nothing is around I can fall even due to a mere rug... Ugghh. 

He was Looking into my eyes continuously. I was also lost in the depth of his eyes. His gaze shifted from my eyes to my lips and then again to my eyes. I was still in his arms in the same position. I was feeling some alien sensations in my body 

" Hey!! What happened?? Are you ok?? What are you doing in my room?" he smirked at me. 

" Yeah,  actually I thought it was Bhabhi's room. Aunty said first room on the first floor... So... I thought this was her room. Sorry. " 

" Oh, it's ok... The room just opposite to this one belongs to her. " 

" Yeah, once I came into the room, I realised that it didn't look like a girl's room. " 

" Hmmm " 

" Thanks... " 

" For what??" 

" For saving me from falling. " I said and he smiled. 

" Welcome... I will always save you if you tend to fall when I am around. 

" I am a bit clumsy... " 

" Why do you wear such high heels?? I mean that day your foot got twisted. You almost fell and today also... " He said with a sweet smile.

Just then I realised that I was still standing in the circle of his arms. A pink colour started creeping on my face. 

" I like wearing them... Thanks, Shubh... I think I am fine now. " 

" Oh yes..." He said and released his grip on my body. 

I rushed out of his room as fast as I could. 

I knocked on the door of Bhabhi's room. She opened the door and smiled. She was ready and was looking very beautiful. We came downstairs, I could feel a pair of eyes on me. But I was too nervous to look at him. 

Bhabhi came to our place with us. We all had a good time. I went to take bath before dinner. 

Once I came back to where everyone was I saw that bhabhi was not there. 

" Where is bhabhi, mom? "

"  She had gone to give tea to Vikram. Go and call them." 

I went to call them and walked into bhai's room casually. 

" Bhai are you ready? Mom is cal... Oh !! I am sorry, I didn't know... Sorry... But I didn't see anything. " I said turning my back towards them and closing my eyes.

I was a bit embarrassed as Bhai was kissing bhabhi. I heard that Bhai cursed under his breath. 

" Don't you know that you must knock the door... " He was glaring at me.

" I would have done that... If you had thought of shutting the door... Don't you know, you have doors... ? " I retorted.

" Just shut up ok ??? "

" Ok,  I am going. Come, Sandhya Bhabhi, mom is calling you as well. " I caught her hand and pulled her out of the room. She was blushing profusely. I smiled at her and took her to my room.

" Oh !! I am sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt anything. " She was saying.

" No Vidhi, it is ok... It's just... We were not... I mean, he was just... "

" Oh c'mon bhabhi, That's alright. You both are engaged. It is ok, I won't judge you for this. " She was blushing so badly. She was so cute.

" You know, It is not his fault. You are looking so pretty. That even I would have wanted to kiss you if I was a man. My poor brother could not control himself. "  She smiled shyly at my words.

I combed her hair and applied some lip colour on her lips and then we went where mom was waiting for all of us. 

Dad asked Bhai to take another car too as he would have to drop her back at her home too. 

" Ok, dad... " He smiled. 

Mom told bhabhi to come with Bhai... She walked towards him slowly. I also started walking towards them and Bhai glared at me... But I ignored him.

" Vidhi can you please come with mom and dad... " Bhai smiled and asked but I know him better than this.

" But I want to come with my dear brother and would-be sister-in-law." I smiled, teasing him.  

" Vidhi, My sweet, little sister... Please go with them. " He said very sweetly but I  did not pay any heed.

" But Bhai, I always live with them. I need to spend some of my time with you and bhabhi." I said, smirking.

He glared at me and I laughed and said, " Ok, I will let you go on one condition. You will take me shopping and let me buy everything I want. " I was smiling mischievously. 

" Yeah, Ok we will go... " He said and I  smiled and went with my parents

We all reached the restaurant and enjoyed the awesome food there. She was a bit shy but was very comfortable with us. She was sitting on the chair next to Bhai. Whenever my mom or I teased them, she blushed even harder.

We finished our Dinner.  We had become very comfortable with each other. Bhai went to drop her while we came back home.

It was a morning mom and dad had already left and only Bhai and I were here. 

I was planning to fix some cucumber sandwiches for us as I didn't know much of the cooking and the maid who cooked for Bhai had not come yet. 

Just then bhai's phone started ringing. 

He picked up the phone. 

It was Padma aunty. She wanted to invite us for the dinner. Bhai was happy to get another chance to be with bhabhi. 

" Vidhi, aunty is asking if you would like to go shopping with them? " 

" Bhai?? I would love to... You know me. How can I say no to shopping? " 

Bhai told them that I would love to go. We went there, had breakfast with them. we all had amazing Aalo ki sabzi with Poori and after that, they drove to the hospital.

Aunty and Shubh's mom were working in the kitchen and I thought that I should also help them. So I asked if I could help but they refused politely. 

I insisted that I wanted to help. Aunty smiled and asked me to get everything from the table so that they could wind up everything before they could go shopping. 

I went to the dining table and was getting the sabzi when my phone started ringing. And when I looked at it to see who was calling. The bowl got tilted and a few drops of curry got splashed on my dress. 

Oh, God !! How clumsy of me. What would aunty think?? That I can't even bring a bowl from dining table to kitchen. 

I went to the kitchen and kept the bowl in the kitchen. I tried to wash off the stain.

Aunty saw it and felt bad that my dress got ruined. She said, " Vidhi beta, go to Sandhya's room and change into any dress of her. Then relax there, while we all get ready. "  I nodded and went upstairs to her room. 

My eyes were looking for a certain someone. I waited outside her room and looked towards Shubh's room. It was closed. He was not with us while we had our breakfast. Where was he?? 

I shrugged and went inside her room, looked for a dress in her wardrobe and changed into jeans and Kurti. 

I was planning to go downstairs and reached the staircase,  but then thought against it and came back to her room. I didn't feel like sitting there in the living room, while they were busy. 

I sat down on her bed and switched on the music on my phone and put earphones in my ear.
