Ophelia

The next few days seemed to drag on. I had so many thoughts running through my head, but I had no one to talk to about them. With Sam and Noah now dating, I knew I couldn’t talk to her about Liam. I also knew I couldn’t talk to Damian about Liam either. He would flip out if he knew I had talked to Liam. I was so confused. Ever since I talked to Liam, I’ve had knots in my stomach. Part of me believes dad and part of me wants to believe Liam. He had done nothing to hurt me before. While he may not have been as overprotective of me as Noah and Oliver, he had never given me a reason to doubt him. I wanted to sort this out. Neither dad nor Noah was giving me much information, but they never do. It took the accident in Miami to happen before I was even told some of what was going on. They always kept stuff from me.

Not that I wanted to be right in the middle of everything going on, but I at

Damian Ophelia told me she was going to the store today, so when she left, I thought nothing of it. A few hours passed, and I had not seen her come back. I tried calling her, but she didn’t answer. She always answers my calls. I sent her a text and still nothing. I went back to the cabin. Maybe I missed seeing her pass. She was not in the cabin. I called her again, but still no answer. I called again, still no answer. My heart rate was rising as I thought of all the things that could be wrong.I sent her a text, but no reply. I called her again, no answer. I was in full panic mode. Something was wrong. This was not like her to ignore my calls or texts. I ran back to the main house and went inside. Mary and Joe were sitting at the island eating lunch, “I need to borrow the truck,” I said with urgency. “What’s wrong?&r

Mitch I was sitting in my office with Noah, Oliver, and Jax. Ben has been working on tracking Liam’s phone, but it was showing up at his apartment. I sent a few guys to the city to investigate. They found the phone in his safe, but everything else had been taken out. Ben also pulled the call logs on Ophelia’s phone to figure out how this happened. He found a number that had called her for the first time a few days ago. There was a text sent from Ophelia’s phone and another call the morning they took her. Ben started a trace on the number that called her, but nothing had popped up yet. Apparently, the phone was either turned off or dead. From the looks of it right now, Liam had called Ophelia from another number. God only knows what he told her to make her believe him. I would have to wait till Damian got here to find out more information about what happened. I kept watching my phone, expecting a me

Ophelia When I woke up, I instantly felt the worst headache I’d ever had. As I observed my surroundings and the room I was in, realizing I have no idea where I was. The room was beautiful though, it was painted light grey and had white and grey marble floors. There was decorative trim all around the room. The vaulted ceiling held a beautiful chandelier in the center. I got down out of bed and went to the door. I turned the doorknob, but it was locked from the outside. I began pounding on the door, hoping that someone would hear and open it. “HELLO!” “LET ME OUT!” “PLEASE! SOMEONE LET ME OUT!” I cried. When no one answered my cries, I went over to the window and pushed the curtains back. I gasped when I saw all the snow that covered the ground. I tried to open the window, but it was locked also.Where the hell am I?

OpheliaI woke up to a knock at the door. It unlocked and Lana walked in holding a white tray. “Good morning Ophelia.” she smiled, walking over to the bed. “Good morning Lana.” As she set the tray on the table, I got out of bed and walked over to take a seat in the chair.“This looks good. What is it?” “This is fried eggs with kielbasa topped with dill. You also have blinis with mixed fruit jam. And you also have black tea.” “Is there any coffee?” “No ma’am,” she said, shaking her head. “Well damn.” “If you would like I can tell them that you requested coffee.” “No. It’s okay. I’ll make do without my coffee.”&

MitchJavier and I have been talking trying to figure out how to get someone into Russia. There’s a knock at my office door, “Come in,”Anderson, one of my security guys walked into my office, “Boss, could I speak to you for a moment?” “Yeah. What’s going on?” “I reached out to an old colleague of mine. He’s been in Russia for a few years. He got stuck there after Blackhorse was exposed.” he said, taking a seat in the chair across from my desk. “What’s Blackhorse?” “Blackhorse was a deep ops organization, operating in Russia, gathering intel on the Bratva. But they also operated in other parts of the world. It was their job to infiltrate organizations and assassinate certain leaders. There were some concerns about the way they operated, and everything was expose

  • Ophelia's Bodyguard   Chapter 42

Mitch One of the problems with isolating Russia the way that I have, is now I can’t get into Russia when I need to. The Bratva ran the whole damn thing. They’re everywhere. We would not be able to land a plane or drive into Russia without them knowing. The same way I control the states is the same way Ivankov controls Russia. No outside rival could get into the country without them knowing. Which now explains why Ivankov was working with Liam. He needed Liam to get his guys into the states to take Ophelia without me knowing. Unfortunately, Liam knew all too well how to get in and out of the country. But what’s done is done. I’ve gathered all the men in the conference room and we’re going over possible ways to get into Russia. Which is proving almost impossible. As soon as one of them comes up with an idea, someone else points out the flaws to that plan. I’m sitting her

Damian When I left the conference room, Mitch’s words made me think. I had been stuck in this negative mindsetlong enough. It was time to get my mind right. I always like going to the range when my thoughts won’t settle, so that’s what I’ll do. Going into the garage, I went down to the weapons vault and pulled out a few of my guns then loaded them up in my truck. I pulled out of the garage and drove to the back of the range. I unloaded the guns, set them on the table and walked downrange to set up a few steel targets. I loaded my revolver, raised my gun, and looked down the sights then pulled the trigger. When I had blown through an entire box of ammo, I switched over to my M4 and unloaded that clip as well. My pain was slowly transforming into anger. The more I shot the more I imagined Viktor and Liam on the receiving end of those bullets. I truly could

MitchEver since the call from Ophelia, I’ve been trying to get in touch with Jason but wasn’t getting an answer. I was curious to know if what she said was accurate or if it was misinformation. While on the bridge talking to Axel, the captain of the ship, my phone rang, finally Jason was returning my call. “Hello?” “Hey boss, sorry it’s taken me so long to call you. Things have been a little crazy over here. But I’ve got some good news and bad news.” “I’ve got news also. My daughter called me the other day.” “Really? “Yeah, she said something about an ambush.” “That’s the bad news. They are planning an ambush. Viktor called a meeting the other night with everyone. DamianWhen we got back to the states after deployment, Noah told me to take a few days and go to Texas, then he would pick me up from there and bring me to New York. Noah knew the strained relationship I had with my family in Texas. But he insisted on me going down there.I went to Texas for a few days and stayed in the cabin on the ranch property. Despite everything that had happened in the past, most of my family was happy to see me. I hadn't been home since I left to join the Army. Of course, Tyson and I still were not on good terms, but none of that mattered. After catching up with everyone, I finally called Noah and told him I was ready to go to New York. He told me to give him a few hours and he would be down to get me.I met Noah at the airport and was surprised because they had their own private jet. He told me that Nathan and Brad had also accepted the job and we would pic

  • Ophelia's Bodyguard   Bonus Chapter I

DamianGrowing up in Texas was outstanding. I was an only child and spent most of my childhood working with my father on our ranch. We had a large ranch in West Texas with horses and cattle. Every day after school I would hurry home to help dad tend to the animals or round up the cattle. We spent our weekends repairing fencing around the ranch or working on the new barns we were building. As I came into my teen years, I had some trouble in school. It took little for me to get in a fight. I'm still not sure why I was like that. My parents were on the way to the school to speak with the principal about my behavior. A few hours after my parents dropped me off with my aunt and uncle, two officers showed up at their house. That was the day my entire world came crashing down around me. While they were on the way to the school, a drunk driver crossed the white line and hit my parents' truck head on. The ac

Ophelia2 Years later:Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I could not believe it was finally happening. Today was the day I married the man of my dreams. The man who has protected me and fought for me. The man who brings me peace and comfort. I never expected to fall in love with my bodyguard, but Damian wasn't just any bodyguard. He was my everything, and I could not wait to be Mrs. Damian Blackman. I chose a very elegant dress made of lace and tulle with a modern fit and flared silhouette with a gorgeous lace train. The sweetheart neckline and natural waistline complimented my figure perfectly. There was beading and latticework on the bodice, while sequins and the addition of silver and ivory beading added to the dress. The sexy silhouette finished with a chapel length train and a lace hemline. All my girls were with me, including Lana. She has become such a great

Damian I brought Ophelia to one of the rooms and told her to rest then made my way to the bottom deck. We only had a few more hours before we would be ready to leave Russia and finally go home. When I walked onto the deck, I saw Mitch talking to Oliver and Noah. "Hey Boss." "Damian, how's your shoulder?" "It's good. I'm sorry about Jax. What happened?" "Yeah, me too. But Nathan and Oscar missed a sniper and Jax was killed when he came from behind one of the containers.""How the hell did they miss a sniper?" "According to them, when they scanned the first time, they only saw one sniper. Once Jax gave the signal, they took out that sniper. I'm guessing the other sniper was hiding somewhere because after the sniper was down a little while later, we started getting hit with another one. That's what happened to Andrew and

  • Ophelia's Bodyguard   Chapter 49

Mitch I watched as the men cleaned up the mess that was left from the fight with Ivankov. The concrete was stained red from the amount of blood that flowed over it. Oliver had taken charge and was barking out orders and making sure that everyone was doing what needed to get done. It had been a little while since the response team left the port to assist the team at the compound. Everything had been silent on their end and I was not sure what was going on. I was anxiously waiting to hear something from them. Once Oliver had given out orders, he walked over to me, “So what do you want to do with Liam and Ivankov? Are you planning to take them back to the states?” “I’m not planning to let them go. They both need to pay for what they have done. Because of them, Jax is dead and several more of our guys are dead.” “Let me handle it. I’ve jus

DamianWhile we waited for the signal, we split off into groups surrounding three sides of the compound. We each had a brick of C4 that we would place on the wall to blow our way into the compound. I had realized that this was not going to be graceful. We were not going to be able to sneak in quietly, we were about to make a lot of noise.“All teams get ready to set bombs,” Noah said over the radio. He kept his eyes on the watchtower to see when the guard turned and when he was facing us. We had to time this perfectly or we would give away our position.I got into position and when Noah motioned, I ran to the wall and placed a brick of C4 on the wall. I waited for Noah to motion again then ran back to the cover of the woods. “Bombs set.” team one and two said across the radio. I breathed a sigh of relief that they were able to set

MitchAmber made sure all the girls knew what to do. She did their makeup so that it looked like they had been beaten and messed up their hair. She told them to keep their heads down so that Liam would not recognize any of them. We loaded the girls into the container and the crane picked it up from the ship and brought it down onto the ground. During our trip, I had the guys outfit the container to make sure the girls would not be harmed when bullets started flying. I knew they were nervous, but they each agreed to play the part.Once everyone was in place, Javier and I got into the backseat of one of the Knights and Jax got into the front seat. We were going to sit in the truck until it was time. We made sure to have everything done before Ivankov and his men showed up.Nathan came across the radio and told us there was a sniper about 500 yards out. He and Oscar were going to take him out as soon a

  • Ophelia's Bodyguard   Chapter 46

Mitch We made it to Russia, two days ahead of schedule and were only a few hours from docking. Jax had the men on the bottom deck and was getting ready. They each put on Kevlar vests and the containers emptied quickly as each man armed themselves with weapons and ammo. I placed a call to Jason and told him we were only hours away. It surprised him we would dock early. But I didn’t want to take any chances. I wanted my men in place before Ivankov and his men even arrived. Jax had drawn out plans on where the containers would be placed giving us both an advantage and cover. Nathan and Oscar were busy setting up on the highest point on the ship, giving them the best vantage point. You couldn’t even tell there was anyone up there. Ben launched his drone and flew to the coordinates that Jason had sent of the compound. Once he was overhead, he informed me that there were abou

  • Ophelia's Bodyguard   Chapter 45

Mitch The next morning, I woke up to find Amber still in my bed snuggled against my chest. She looked adorable sleeping so peacefully. I carefully got up and went to the bathroom, taking a quick shower, and getting dressed. When I walked out of the bathroom she was still sleeping peacefully. I leaned over and kissed her forehead then walked out of the room. I walked down the hall and to the door that leads outside. When I stepped outside, I could see we were in the channel being brought in by tugboats to the dock. Placing my hands on the rail I looked out over the water towards land. I loved visiting Ireland; the country was beautiful. Should I ever actually retire, this would be where I would want to spend the rest of my days. I turned around and started walking to the bridge. Looking down at the bottom deck, I could see the guys getting the harnesses ready. There were paint buckets and brushes
