Thank you all for reading!!
Everyone glanced at each other in the room. “What secrets are you hiding?” I pressed. Her face morphed like she was in physical pain. I watched as her eyes shifted from full black back to her normal shade. The expression on her face was something out of a horror movie. Slowly, she stood up and looked at me with pure hatred. Everyone in the room took a few steps back from her. “Come on, Ivory. Don’t kill my fun!” It was the voice of Adron, through Megan’s mouth. It was worse than I thought. He wasn’t manipulating her; he possessed her. “Let her go!” I demanded. “I’m not done with her yet!” He laughed. Her mouth opened wider than I thought possible. Fear was something I really hadn’t felt an abundance of, but this, this was something I truly feared. “I think you are. You have been caught, there isn’t anything else you can do in that body.” I bluffed or at least hoped he would reveal his motives. “Dear innocent Ivory, so so innocent. I can’t wait for you to see all the things
The first place I looked was their bedroom. Knocking a few times, I didn’t get an answer, so I just peaked my head in. “Samantha?” I yelled. No answer. After waiting a few more seconds, I gave up in here and closed the door. Where would Samantha go? My feet mindlessly took me a few places, like the kitchen, library, and living area, but Samantha was not there. Deciding to head back, as my feet hit the staircase, my eyes glanced out the window. Samantha was sitting on a bench outside in the garden area. Bingo! Thankfully, my feet didn’t trip over themselves as I ran to the front door. After a second of taking a deep breath to prepare myself for this conversation, the door opened and I made my way outside to her. My movements were slow as I waited for her to see me. She must have been in her own world as I made it all but 15 feet until she looked up. Pausing, I gaged her reaction. There wasn’t any, but she scooted off to the one side so I could sit down. How should I start this con
Smiling, I looked at Samantha as she walked in. Without even looking at Jameson, she sat down in the other armchair. Jet was pulling out the photos. “Last chance. Are you sure you want to do this?” I inquired again. “Y-yes, I need to do this.” She whipped her hands on the fabric of the chair. She was nervous. Standing up, she moved to the desks. Jet had laid them out but upside down. “Whenever you are ready, turn them over.” I said as I sat down on Jet’s leg. His hand rested on my thigh. Samantha looked at the two upside down pictures. Her hand shook has she reached for it but as soon as it touched the picture, she yanked it away. Shaking out her arms, she bounced on her feet. Jameson stood up and placed his hands around her waist. Samantha froze at the unexpected act of affection. “I’m here for you.” He said in a weird, unsure tone. He was trying, but it was unnatural. Samantha looked at me as I gave her a weak smile. Turning to look up at him, he planted a kiss on her forehead
“I told you he was in a coma.” The doctor sighed as we walked into the room. My eyes went straight to the man that was laying in front of me. He looked normal. There was obvious scaring and damage done, but overall, he looked good. His hair was a literal bird’s nest as it hadn’t been brushed in who knows how long. What wasn’t stuck together was longer than his shoulders. The only way to fix this was to shave it all off. His fingers didn’t have any fingernails on them. Red open sores lined his finger tips where I assumed the nail fell off at. Bruising covered his skin in shades of yellow and green. “The transformation forced his bones to shrink back to where they should be. That caused a lot of bruising.” The doctor said as he watched me look him over. “Do you know why he was the only one to survive? All the others have died, and he has lived.” “The antidote I gave him had an extra vitamin K component to it. There was the one that we didn’t give anything to. I gave him the same
Pinching the bridge of my nose, I sighed. I didn’t need this right now. I didn’t need this ever. Carol was not attractive to me in any way shape or form. She really needed to find her mate and leave me the hell alone. “I just miss you. I miss what we had. I know you have a mate and you don’t want me but that doesn’t mean I can turn off my emotions like that.” Carol stood up and walked over to me. “Maybe you need to go pack to pack to find your mate. I can’t help you, nor do I want to. I love Ivory and I will not be going down this rabbit hole with you. Move on.” Turning my back to her, I walked out of the gym. I heard her sobs, but that wasn’t my problem. My focus was on my mate and the pack, not an ex-girlfriend that is stuck in the past. Walking into my room, Ivory was right where I left her. As much as I wanted to crawl into bed with her, I needed a shower. Sweat was dripping down my body from my workout. As quietly as I could, I made my way to the shower and got in. I was ju
“IVORY!” Justina walked into my room, yelling at the top of her lungs. “I’m right here…” I said coming out of the closet. “You need to get down here. The witches arrived early and I’m already over it.” Justina sighed as she fell down on the couch with her hand over her face. “A bit dramatic?” I laughed. I had put on a cute romper. It was sleeveless but had long pants. The flowy material hid my stomach nicely. “NO! That Max guy is something else.” “Oh, he showed up?” I asked, happily. “Yes. There are three of them, but the one lady said she will have her phone open to many more to see who she can get on our side. The vampires haven’t shown up yet.” “So the party is just getting started!” I laughed as I slipped on my shoes. “What party?” Jet asked as he came out of the bathroom. “Apparently, the witches are here and Justina is being moody.” “Moody? I AM NOT MOODY!” She looked at me with hatred filled eyes. I knew the hatred wasn’t real but more baby emotional. “Oookay.” I
“Thank you guys for coming!” Jet said as we walked into the conference room. Penny, Ben, and Maximus were sitting on one side of the table. Cassius was sitting on the other side, incredibly still. Like a damn statue. “I will have my phone out and linking in multiple covens. They didn’t want to personal come due to the sensitivity of the meeting and people attending.” Penny frowned at Cassius. If he heard her, he made no effort to acknowledge her. “No funny business today.” Maximus said. He was eyeing me like I was going to light the room on fire. “No promises.” I joked. His eyes narrowed, telling me he didn’t find me funny. I thought I was hilarious. “Everyone else should b-” The door opened and Orpheus walked in with Estella. “The man of the hour.” Maximus said. “Welcome back. This is Penny, Ben and Maximus.” Jet nodded to each. Penny had a smile on her face. Ben was neutral, and Maximus was a tad hostile. “It’s good to be back.” Orpheus took a seat. “Now that we are all
Jet’s body started convulsing as he fell over on the grass. My hands were covered in Megan’s blood. My mind was blank as I looked between holding Megan’s wound shut and looking at Jet. “I got her!” Wade put his hands where mine were as he pushed me towards Jet. “JET!” I yelled as I crawled over to his head. Tears ran down my face as I was lost. How do I save him? Opening his eyes, I saw they were quickly moving side to side. I was frantically looking him over. His hands were digging into the earth, legs were painfully bending and straightening out, and his chest was rising and falling fastly. His head snapped towards me. The look in his eyes was not Jet. “You lost.” “NO!” My hand reared back on it’s own and slapped Jet across the face. The water in my eyes made it next to impossible to see but I kept slapping and slapping until I was pulled off of him. “IVORY!” My brain wasn’t even comprehending who was speaking to me. “Let them help him!” “GET HIM OUT OF HIM!” I cried. My
