Clair hurriedly jumped off the bus, eager to meet her friends, specifically Sienna to find out what had happened. But she was surprised to see only Isla waiting for her at the gate.
“Hey. Where is Si?” Clair asked, slightly disappointed.
“She stayed at his apartment last night.” Isla’s answer was abrupt, but her expression told Clair so much more than her words.
Clair froze. Does this mean......
Clair didn’t want to think about it. But she could help it. She just hoped that Sienna was fine. Just then, they noticed a familiar black car drive into the parking lot.
“She is here.” Isla murmured. The girls decided to wait for her hoping to learn about the details. Sienna tried her best to be her cheerful self but she found it hard.
“Hey. I thought you might be late so I left earlier.” Isla told her and all she got was a forced smile in response.
Clair narrowed her eyes on her. Som
Hello everyone. Thank you for reading this book up to this point. Hope you are enjoying it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you have in mind. Love you all.
Clair pov We all went to my place just as planned. It was enjoyable. We had a lot of fun gathering information and doing the assignment together. We didn’t know how the time passed by. While I fed and put Nolan to sleep, they were doing the work in the study. I was thankful for the help Adira and Austin never failed to offer. They let us study for ourselves for the whole day, so that we could do our work in private. As soon as I was certain that Nolan was fast asleep, I checked whether the baby monitor was working and tiptoed out of the room. When I arrived, Si and Isla were almost done with their work. They just had to polish it. They had even finished the work I had left undone in order to attend Nolan. “We must do this often.” I said, feeling grateful for their help. “I love having you guys over.” Before they could reply, my phone started to ring. A smile made its way to my face and I had no intention to hide it. I knew who it was. It could o
Narrator The rest of the week seemed to fly for the trio. It was packed with assignments and since the lecturers were trying to finish the syllabus as soon as they could. That gave little spare time for the three girls to think about anything else other than their school work. Weekend arrived at it was the only break they could get from the hectic university life. They were grateful for it. However, they were also very anxious about Sienna leaving with Gerald. Clair and Isla spent the Friday night together, since Gerald promised that he would come to fetch Sienna early morning. Clair and Isla watched wordlessly as Sienna gathered some of her clothes and other accessories in her bag so that she could leave as soon as Gerald came. Apparently, Sienna was excited. Although Clair and Isla felt anxious about her leaving
Narrator “Do you like it babe?” Gerald asked in his husky voice as he thrust deeper. Sienna had been trying hard not to scream. But Gerald had made her just do that. It was as if he was not holding anything back since they had finally found the solidarity they had been looking for. The sound of her moans and screams filtered out of the private cabin and could be heard clearly by anyone who stood at a close distance. But no one was around. The entire place was just perfect for them. Deserted. The trees that stood in silence, bore witness to her moans of pleasure. The leaves rustled with the soft breeze. Hence, it was as if the entire wilderness was bearing witness to their intimacy. Groaning and panting, Gerald released his seeds while Sienna too screamed in pleasure as she felt her third wave of her release. Huffing in exhaustion, Gerald removed the rubber and lay beside Sienna who was still moaning and mewing in ecstasy. She couldn’t believe that Ger
Narrator Gerald was too late. He was not able to catch Sienna as she fell unconscious and she hit her head on the counter. It wasn’t that hard to break her head but it was bad enough to make a huge lump on her forehead. He quickly gathered her in his arms and carried her to the car which was parked just a short distance away. “Shit!” he hissed as he carefully placed her on the backseat. He had just remembered about their belongings in the cabin. If she was hurt bad, they wouldn’t be able to come back anytime soon which meant their stay had to be cut short. Leaving her behind in the car, he hurried to get their belongings. After grabbing the keys and locking the door, he sprinted towards the car and quickly started the engine to race towards the city hospital. He
Narrator “You were right. He is not to be trusted.” Sienna blurted out as soon as they entered their apartment. She had been holding back what she wanted to say the whole time, fearing that someone might over hear her. “Don’t tell me he did that to you.” Isla worriedly asked, as she studied the bump which was now obvious on her forehead. “He didn’t. He was telling the truth. I also think I fell down and hit my head. But the reason I fainted is something else.” Sienna told her. “What?” Isla asked, now concerned about it. “He is worse than I could have imagined. I overheard him talk to someone on the phone. He is planning to do something....I don’t know, I think to leak some important information about his company to
Narrator Life went on and slowly the girls got over the shock that they had received. Sienna also recovered from her injury and she too got back on her daily schedule. Since Gerald wasn’t someone who kept contact, Sienna found it rather easy to let him go. She changed her number and blocked him on all her social media accounts. So that hopefully, he wouldn’t be able to contact her. However, just one thing bothered them. Gerald knew where she lived and he might come to find her once he realises what had happened. From what Sienna had overheard, he was planning to take her with him to wherever he was planning to go. And in the process, he was going to prevent her from pursuing her dreams. That was something she couldn’t afford to let happen. She had come this far and was not going to let a guy snatch her dreams away from
Narrator As planned, Isla and Sienna left to go to Clair’s place early the next morning. Unknown to them, a black car followed. They were completely unaware of the fact that they were being followed. Joking on the way, they drove to the penthouse. Gerald, who was following them in discretion, watched them drive in. He glared at the closing gate and decided to keep his eye on them, so that he could know when they left. He took deep, steady breaths in an attempt to keep himself calm. However, he was already seething in anger. How dare she ignore him, while she kept contact with others. How dare she block him. She must answer each of his questions. He decided that he would wait outside where he could keep an eye on the gate. That way, he would know when she leaves the expensive looking house. He spend the entire time
Clair pov I cannot be more thankful that they were safe. At least now, Austin and his men were keeping an eye on us. We went and came back from the university together. We wanted to file a complaint to the police, but we really didn’t have any proof against Gerald. Besides, dealing with the police was something Austin and the gang would try to avoid. Since they were involved in the mafia, police weren’t really their friends, despite Austin doing some good things for the community. I couldn’t care less. All those years I spent in captivity, the police couldn’t come to my rescue. I had to endure three painful years of my life as a sex slave to Mr. Stone. It was Austin and the others who saved me from that hell hole. So no matter what anyone says, these mafia members are my saviours. They had broug
Clair povWe had waited until night fell to attack and spent the entire day planning our moves. Levi had told us that the bar opened at night and it most probably would be the easiest time to strike. I just hope that they didn't take Nolan elsewhere."But I don't think they will be stupid enough to take Nolan to her house. Everyone will know that we will look for him." Henry stated"That's true," Austin responded. "We only have one choice. And that is to force one of their men to spill the secrets." He added."How?" I asked, feeling anxious, and silently praying that my baby is fine."We go to the bar, and abduct one of them," Austin replied. "And then after that, we decide what we do next. And Clair, I need you to recognise anyone who you saw in her house last night." He answered.I gulped and nodded. "Okay. I'm ready to do anything for him." He said.
Clair pov"Remember?" I asked. My voice sounded more like a tiny squeak. My heart raced. Was he really recalling his past memories?"Yes. At least some of it." He smiled at his father. "Dad…" he croaked and tears started to roll out of his eyes."It's okay son." His father's voice was shaky when he spoke. Obviously, both of them were overwhelmed with emotions. As I glanced in between them, I felt my own eyes well with tears, which I quickly wiped away with my hands."But…..why am I here? The last thing I remember was pushing you away, because Pamela was going to hit you with a chair." He frowned. I sighed."I guess you received the blow for me." I mumbled. He mouthed a wow and laid silently on
"Why did you do it? What did I do to you? What have you gained by hurting me?" I continued to scream until she managed to place a punch on my abdomen. I staggered back, however, I was quick to recover and glared at the vile woman, who was seething."I hate you! I hate your entire family! I hate your mother! She married the one I love! He should have been mine!" She screamed, shocking me beyond words could describe. What? My aunt had a crush on my father? Her own sister's husband?"What the fuck!" I cursed under my breath. She was insane!"Gah! Why the hell would you care anyway! Inhaled seeing them together. And it was hell to witness their love each and every day!" She was gritting her teeth so hard that I could have sworn that her teeth would fall off."I couldn't bear to see them in love. I hate them and I hate you! I had to see them die! I had to….." she trailed off. However, I was now alerted. She had to see them
Levi povHis shirt was soaked in the crimson colour of his blood. He would apparently be in pain, however it seemed to be the least of his concerns. His chest heaved as he gasped for breath."I...I don't know." He gulped.I narrowed my eyes on him. I knew that he was lying. They had to know."Boss…..whoa!" Another male voice caught my attention. A scrawny young man, with dreadlocks walked out of another room. His eyes darted from me to the two who were at the base of the staircase. His eyes widened, most probably realised that the man was injured."Hey! Stand back! I swear I won't hesitate to shoot!" I warned them, as I pointed my gun at him. I heard a thud. When I looked around, the man who was beside Pamela had dropped her body and ran up the stairs."Shit!" I cursed. He got away."Stand back!" I warned the man with dreadlocks."Okay, okay. I'm just working for money. Like I am
Levi pov. They had opened the bar for the night, so only a few people were inside. I made sure my Glock was in place and well covered with my jacket. It was pathetic that they didn't check if I was armed. Well, perhaps they were too new at this. Good for me.I scanned the surroundings. Since the place had opened a few minutes ago, workers were still trying to set the place up. The disco lights lit the place up in multiple colours. The place slowly started to get crowded, as groups of young people started to enter the place. Making sure that my fake beard and hat was in place, I tried to look for anyone who might know the owner of this place. The workers here will certainly know something about her.One person was already at the counter ordering a drink. I walked over to the counter and ordered a drink for myself and glanced at the man beside me. His drink was in front of him, but he didn't seem to be in a hurry to down it. He had his face bur
Narrator "Be careful son….." Jack told his son for the nth time, fearing for the safety of his son. However, he didn't try to stop him, since he knew that he wouldn't stop even if he pleaded. Besides, only Levi seemed to have an idea of where they had taken Clair. "Of course I will dad." He promised, patting on his belt, where he had hidden his loaded pistol. When Austin secretly handed it to him when they left, he had never thought that he would be in a situation when he would have to use it, so he had kept it hidden under his clothes in his luggage. However, he was now ready to use everything he had learnt from Austin to save the girl he had fallen in love with. "Maybe we should get help from the police ." Jack stated. Levi sat in the front seat, thinking about it. "Wouldn't it be a waste of time?" He asked. "No. What would you do alone, Levi? It will be easier to face them if you have someone on
Narrator"No way!" Levi hissed, staring at Clair with widened eyes. She nodded, pausing her lips."There is no doubt. It is her." She replied. Her heart was still pounding hysterically in her chest."Hey, come on, let's go home. The afternoon sun will bake you in a few hours if you're going to stay out in the open." Levi's mother called, standing a few feet away from them, as she waved frantically at them to follow her."We are coming." Levi called and they followed them back home."I never thought I'd actually come face to face with someone like that." Levi mumbled under his breath. "Let me kick her ass." He added in a silent whisper."No. Let her be. She has sold me off and now, I believe she doesn't have any right over me." Clair replied, sighing, secretly hoping that she doesn't have any clever ideas."If you say so." Levi sighed. "What is her name?" He asked, making Clair chuckle.
Clair pov.To say I was nervous for the rest of the day would be an understatement. I couldn't focus on anything. So I excused myself and retreated to my room. Besides Nolan needs his nap, so Levi's parents didn't seem to suspect anything. As soon as I entered the room, I changed Nolan's clothes to a fresh one and put him to take his nap, and it was only then I could really think about what I had seen.It definitely was her. My aunt. But what was she doing in this village? And if she is with that person called Miggy, I honestly wonder what kind of research they were doing? To start some projects? She most certainly doesn't seem like the person who would start anything good. I didn't have a good feeling about it.I needed to find out what she was doing. If she was involved in whatever 'project' Miggy was about to start, I am almost a hundred percent positive that it wouldn't be anything good.Or maybe I shouldn't meddle in it
Clair pov"I don't know if he will remember anything." The therapist said, sighing. "I cannot say for sure. I mean it may or may not work." She said, making me bite my lower lip, frowning in concern. It was exactly what I had feared. He might never remember his past."Is there anything we can do to help? Anything?" I asked, hoping to hear a positive response. She sighed and leaned back. The creases on her forehead meant that she was in deep thought. The therapist had asked me to meet her separately after today's session, while he waited for me in the waiting area."Why don't you take him to his village? That might help him remember his past?"She suggested. I nodded in response and thanked her before leaving. We had taken Levi to be checked as soon as things got settled. Austin paid the amount his 'boss' demanded, and Levi started his training sessions. He had blended in with the Mafia family. About two months have pa
