hmmmm things get interesting! Let me know what you think so far and thank you for reading!!
After Thomas led her into the room he closed the door and stood beside it, casually leaning against the wall. Aiden watched as her eyes darted around the room taking in each person there pausing at each one as if trying to read into their souls.“What is it that the alpha seeks?” Agatha asked, her head tipped to the side like a curious cat. Aiden sat down in the seat next to the one he pulled out for her and casually sat back. “To be honest, what I am looking for is information. Someone has taken something from me and I want it back. Are you able to help me with that?” Aiden decided in this case perhaps honesty was the best direction to start with, to an extent. “I am good at locating lost objects, but I feel as though this is more than a mere… object.” She grinned like the Cheshire Cat and her eyes lit with mischief. “It is something precious to you, oh yes, but I think it is a person.” She practically purred, why was Aiden getting the feeling she would turn into a cat right before
After Cody left, Alys found there was a small lamp on the end table, she turned it on and ate the soup and roll he had left before taking one of the pain pills for her head. She had no way to tell what time it was as the only window she could see had been completely boarded up and only a small sliver of light made it through, she didn’t feel like she had slept long so she thought Cody must have just brought her lunch. She looked around as best she could while attached to the bed post and could tell she was in some sort of rustic home or cabin. There were two doors to the room, the one that Cody used and has locked, and one to what she could only assume was either a closet or a bathroom. The only furniture in the room was the bed and two end tables and a small chest at the end of the bed. Cody came back after a while and asked her if she had to use the bathroom, when she nodded he took the cuff off the bed post then he led her to the other door. So she was right it was a bathroom. Inste
Aiden and Jax joined the hunt for Brandi, she was running south. Once they caught up to the warriors they paused for only a moment until he caught the scent, he knew it was hers. It only spurred him on, the need to catch Brandi ran deep through his soul, he needed to find Alys. They chased her for almost an hour, she was putting up a good fight evening running through mud and water to try and throw them off her scent, which almost worked, almost. She had had a good head start, but they were gaining on her quickly. Brandi had always cared more about her looks than actual training and after the required training as teens she quit, she couldn’t out run them for long. Aiden pushed his wolf harder, they were so close he could smell her fear in the air. Jax was keeping pace with him stride for stride and the two warriors flanked them on either side. Aiden ran, lifting his nose to the air inhaling deeply, he was catching up.They came into a clearing and her wolf was collapsed on the ground.
“Killian how long will it take you to portal Agatha?” Aiden asked him.“Not long, I just need to gather some supplies then I can draw a portal door as soon as they get back and send her off on her merry old way.” Killian replied cheerfully.“Good, Sara can help you find what you need. I would really appreciate it if you would come with us. I think we will need you, who knows what Cody has done to her.” Aiden asked him, hope mixing with the anxiety growing in his chest, knowing his mate is in that feral rogues hands. “Of course I am coming! I actually like her, she has a good soul and heart. Plus Sara would have my head if I didn’t help save her new bestie.” He replied smiling at Sara, she winked back at him while wrapping her arms around his waist. “You got that right.” Sara reached up and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before turning back to Aiden. “Oh before I forget. Brandi left this with Ashley before she ran, I caught her trying to throw it in the garbage bins out back. It’
The rest of the drive into Hope Falls was quiet, Aiden couldn’t stop thinking. He was worried for his mate, if Cody was ruthless enough to blindly kill someone who was helping him, what would he be capable of doing to Alys. His mind kept flashing over and over to the pain he felt through the bond, he hadn’t felt anything else since the pain before they left and he didn’t know if he should be relived or more worried. Aiden had taken over driving from the clearing, he couldn’t just sit, he needed to feel like he was doing something. Jax was rummaging around in the cooler Sara had given them.“Yes, roast beef! I’m starving!” Lizzy had packed sandwiches and bottles of water in the cooler bag along with some apples. Jax started into a sandwich and offered one to Aiden. “No, thanks. I can’t eat right now.” Aiden responded, as Jax shoved another mouthful in his face. “It’s going to be ok. We will find her and then we will deal with Cody so this will never happen again.” Jax tried to reassu
“Seriously, you're a vampire!" Killian repeated himself staring at Mike with a calculated look as if he could expel the secrets with a look. Mike glared at him before composing himself and looking around again swearing. His nostrils flared and he stared at them for a minute. “Shit. This isn’t the place for this conversation. I will go sign in and tell the desk sergeant that I want an open patrol. Where can I meet you?” He asked. “We have rooms at the Inn. Can you meet us there?” Aiden motioned for the others to climb in the SUV as Mike nodded and walked into the building. Aiden watched him put on a smile and wave to the lady at the desk, he leaned against it chatting for a moment and nodding, he gave her a quick wave again before he walked into the back. Aiden got in and drove to the Inn. About 20 minutes later they were all in the same suite Aiden had before, Mike had just arrived and so did the other four. Thomas reported that there was nothing changed at either houses. Everything
Alys woke up with a start. She was having another one of those vision dreams and had seen Aiden talking to Mike, in what looked like the police station parking lot. Does that mean they are on their way to her? Were they in Hope Falls? She didn’t know how or why, but she knew the dreams were real. She was seeing visions of Aiden, hope swelled up in her heart. She reached over and turned the lamp back on so she could see and started searching around her. She needed to be ready, she was worried that Cody might come after her if he learned that Aiden was close and she needed to be able to do something to fend him off, to at least give Aiden a chance to get to them. She knew she wouldn’t be able to actually fight him, he was a werewolf, and a police officer, and before that he was a football player. He was one giant wall of muscle, speed and training. She spotted the flipped tray on the floor, Cody hadn’t picked it up before storming out in anger earlier. He had used a knife to cut the st
The vision changed again, now she was watching the three wolves that had gone the other way, they had spread out and were slowly stalking towards the cabin watching every move they made carefully, stepping in areas with less leaf coverage, finally they reached their destination and stood watching the cabin from a distance. Thomas must have linked them about the silver nets. They were looking around them as if waiting for something else to happen. Alys noticed that they turned their attention briefly to the cabin and she could see in the distance that Aiden, Mike, and Jax were approaching. Ready yourself. The visions cleared and she opened her eyes just in time to hear the locks click on the door. She closed her eyes again and tried to steady her breath, gathering her courage, she clutched her hand around the hilt under the blankets, getting a better grip on her knife and slowly slipped it closer to her.“Oh my sweet Aly.” Cody tsked, “Your Alpha is a very stubborn man, he just does n
David and Clary stayed for another week after the ceremony. Being that they were True Mates, chosen for each other by the goddess, David was able to mark Clary tying their souls together. She would take on his longevity. She would never have a wolf but she would at least live as long as he does. Alys remembered reading that in the book she had gotten from Killian, Dr.Clarke asked to borrow it. It was hard for Alys to say goodbye to her mom. They had never been very far from each other. They promised to set up regular times to video chat every week. They drove with them to the airport and Alys stood waving for as long as she could. “Come on love, lets go home.” Aiden wrapped her in his arms and spun her around making her squeal. “Can we stop to get something to eat? I am starving and I could definitely eat a big delicious hamburger right now.” Alys’s stomach grumbled as she climbed into the car and Aiden chuckled. “I guess we better feed you since even your stomach is growling at me.
Aiden saw Alys start to get pale and knew it was time to bring her to the clearing for her first shift. He already had Thomas bring some blankets and a light t-shirt out to the clearing he picked for them to provide some comfort. He saw the other young pups gather a parent and go off towards their chosen part of the forest. Aiden looked around and made eye contact with Sara who nodded. She gathered everyone to give some final words of encouragement to Alys.“Don’t be overthinking it Lass, ye’re goin’ tae be great. It’ll be over in no time and we’ll be running through the woods with ye.” David gave her a great big squeeze, then handed her over to her mom to hug too.“Thanks dad.” She said to him, while hugging her mom tightly.“You are going to be amazing, don’t even worry about it. I can’t wait to see your wolf I hope she’s got red fur like your hair that would be fantastic!” Sara piped in cheerfully, making Alys laugh a little. Killian gave her shoulder a squeeze.“I’ve got nothing,
The morning and afternoon flew by as they spent most of it greeting the arriving Alpha’s and making sure they found their rooms to get changed and settled before the festivities in the evening. Before she knew it Alys was in Sara’s suite along with Clary and Lilly getting ready together for the ceremony. Clary was dressed in a floor length midnight blue sheath gown with quarter length lace sleeves and a v-neckline. She did her hair in a simple French twist, she looked amazing. Lilly was in a very expensive cream pant suit, but the top went down to the floor and swept back revealing the soft flowing pants underneath. It was simple yet elegant. Sara was dazzling in her red satin gown and her hair was curled and flowing freely, with a sexy smoky eye and matching red lipstick. Sara had just put the finishing touches to Alys’s hair which was pulled into a side braid on one side with the other side curled and cascading over her shoulder, Alys had already done her make up with a soft natural
It was finally the morning of the ceremony. Alys couldn’t decide if she was more nervous for her first shift or the ceremony itself. She had never been one for the spotlight so the idea of speaking in front of so many people made butterflies turn in her stomach. At least her first shift she would be in a quiet place, apart from everyone else with Aiden.Alys had woken up early, she had felt a strange itching sensation all over her body, she couldn’t get comfortable so she hopped in the shower hoping that would ease it.‘Why are you up so early love?’ Aiden linked her.‘I got woken up by this intense itchy feeling, I was hoping the shower would help. It just seems to be getting worse though.’ Alys told him, she had been using her loofa to scrub her entire body trying to ease the uncomfortable sensations.‘It’s your body getting ready for your shift tonight, it will probably come and go t
Alys was having a great time at the spa. When they arrived they found out that Aiden had booked the entire building just for them. First they went in to a steam room to relax and then hot showers, followed by soothing full body massages, a sushi lunch catered by her favourite restaurant, and finally finished with full manicures and pedicures. The ladies all spent the day laughing and chatting. It was nice to be able to just relax. Alys had started worrying again about her upcoming shift which would happen after the ceremony, when the moon was at its highest. Tonight it would be about 11:30pm when it reached its peak, and being May, the weather was supposed to be perfect. Two other pups were getting their wolves tonight as well as they celebrated their 18th birthdays that month. It was tradition for the shifting wolves to go to the edge of the forest for their first shift. Following the shift, which apparently only took around 15 minutes the first time, the pack would join together for
After the chaos of everything that happened to Alys and Aiden and the Blue Lake Pack. It felt like having the ceremony only a few weeks later was perfect timing. Everyone was getting excited, unmated wolves were hoping to meet their mates in the guests from other packs, the kitchen staff were kept busy with the preparations and the warriors were doing extra training to make sure security would be flawless. Aiden wasn’t taking any chances. As one of the biggest and more richer packs around they had invited a lot of people. Alphas and their Beta’s and mates would be coming and usually they would bring a couple warriors with them as well during travel. There were guest quarters for visiting warriors in the warrior building, and usually there was friendly competitions before the ceremony. The visiting Alpha’s and Beta’s would of course be put in the guest suites. Aiden spent the mornings with Alys and the afternoons working from his office. Jax was sent every other day to the city to set
Alys took almost an hour to figure out what she wanted to wear. She didn’t want to give the wrong impression. She finally decided on a simple white blouse, black pants, flats, no jewellery except her necklace and ring from Aiden and her hair in a simple ponytail. She was so nervous she didn’t think she would be able to eat anything, she didn't feel ready to face the pack for breakfast. “You have no reason to hide, they will respect you no matter what your decision, love. It will be ok.” Aiden told her as he finished putting on his usual button up and dress pants. “I am not even officially the luna yet. I don’t want want to start out wrong.” Alys worried for the hundredth time. Aiden just smiled softly at her and pulled her into a hug. “Again, it’s going to be ok. You will have me and my parents there with you. They will see us as a complete unit, it’s not you alone.” He reassured her again and kissed her on her nose. “Now lets go get you some food, because if your stomach growls in
The next couple days were pure bliss. Sara almost ambushed Alys the morning after the picnic, Jax had let slip he had picked up a ring for Aiden and she had been dying to see it, Killian was there to and he groaned as Sara gushed over the ring giving him pointed looks. After breakfast Aiden went with her to spend the morning at her moms. Aiden decided that this time he was going to take some more time from work and spend it with Alys. He took her around the pack and introduced her to more of the pack members. Alys got to see what an amazing Alpha he was. He took the time to greet members and listen to them when they had something to say. He knew every warrior by name, as for the rest of the pack if he didn’t know someones name he made sure to ask and would try to remember for next time. He showed her all his favourite places on the grounds and even showed her the maps of the property, and went over the different business they owned and where. Alys was surprised at the size of their rea
They ended up at a very expensive large boutique shop that sold all manner of dresses for every event out there. Again Alys wondered what a place like this was doing in a small city like Wakerton. Inside they were greeted pleasantly by a pretty young lady and Alys noticed for the first time she could smell someone, she could even tell that she was a wolf. The lady smiled broadly and welcomed them into the store and led them to an extravagant seating area with big comfy white couches surrounding a very modern glass coffee table and brought them all sparkling wine and glasses. The store was elegant it was all white and had big floor to ceiling sections of mirror perfectly placed for both lighting and decor. She brought Alys to the display room to go through a few styles and colours so she could pull some selections. Alys told her she wanted simple and elegant and if possible silver or soft purples. The lady, she introduced herself as Samantha, winked and told her to wait in a very large
