After Thomas led her into the room he closed the door and stood beside it, casually leaning against the wall. After Cody left, Alys found there was a small lamp on the end table, she turned it on and ate the soup and roll he had left before taking one of the pain pills for her head. She had no way to tell what time it was as the only window she could see had been completely boarded up and only a small sliver of light made it through, she didn’t feel like she had slept long so she thought Cody must have just brought her lunch. She looked around as best she could while attached to the bed post and could tell she was in some sort of rustic home or cabin. There were two doors to the room, the one that Cody used and has locked, and one to what she could only assume was either a closet or a bathroom. The only furniture in the room was the bed and two end tables and a small chest at the end of the bed. Aiden and Jax joined the hunt for Brandi, she was running south. Once they caught up to the warriors they paused for only a moment until he caught the scent, he knew it was hers. It only spurred him on, the need to catch Brandi ran deep through his soul, he needed to find Alys. They chased her for almost an hour, she was putting up a good fight evening running through mud and water to try and throw them off her scent, which almost worked, almost. She had had a good head start, but they were gaining on her quickly. Brandi had always cared more about her looks than actual training and after the required training as teens she quit, she couldn’t out run them for long. Aiden pushed his wolf harder, they were so close he could smell her fear in the air. Jax was keeping pace with him stride for stride and the two warriors flanked them on either side. The rest of the drive into Hope Falls was quiet, Aiden couldn’t stop thinking. He was worried for his mate, if Cody was ruthless enough to blindly kill someone who was helping him, what would he be capable of doing to Alys. His mind kept flashing over and over to the pain he felt through the bond, he hadn’t felt anything else since the pain before they left and he didn’t know if he should be relived or more worried. “Seriously, you're a vampire!" Killian repeated himself staring at Mike with a calculated look as if he could expel the secrets with a look. Mike glared at him before composing himself and looking around again swearing. His nostrils flared and he stared at them for a minute. “Shit. This isn’t the place for this conversation. I will go sign in and tell the desk sergeant that I want an open patrol. Where can I meet you?” He asked. “We have rooms at the Inn. Can you meet us there?” Aiden motioned for the others to climb in the SUV as Mike nodded and walked into the building. Aiden watched him put on a smile and wave to the lady at the desk, he leaned against it chatting for a moment and nodding, he gave her a quick wave again before he walked into the back. Alys woke up with a start. She was having another one of those vision dreams and had seen Aiden talking to Mike, in what looked like the police station parking lot. Does that mean they are on their way to her? Were they in Hope Falls? She didn’t know how or why, but she knew the dreams were real. She was seeing visions of Aiden, hope swelled up in her heart. She reached over and turned the lamp back on so she could see and started searching around her. The vision changed again, now she was watching the three wolves that had gone the other way, they had spread out and were slowly stalking towards the cabin watching every move they made carefully, stepping in areas with less leaf coverage, finally they reached their destination and stood watching the cabin from a distance. Thomas must have linked them about the silver nets. They were looking around them as if waiting for something else to happen. Alys noticed that they turned their attention briefly to the cabin and she could see in the distance that Aiden, Mike, and Jax were approaching. Ready yourself.
