The last two days went in much the same manner. Aiden and Alys would wake up and stay in bed for a bit, before getting ready to go to breakfast together. Aiden got stuck at work a little later then usual, he had been getting ready to leave the office when he received a strange phone call. Aiden paced his office. Ever since realizing Alys’s letter was a fake, things were moving quickly and quietly, but it still didn’t feel fast enough. Aiden was feeling restless and his wolf wasn’t helping, he kept growling under his breath. They picked the farthest meeting room from everything else, it was tucked in a back corner at the end of the hall on the second floor. It had a nice view of the woods out a large picture style window, a large round table in the center surrounded by comfortable office chairs, a counter across the one wall and a pull down screen they could hook a computer up to if they needed. Alys was surrounded by darkness, she couldn’t move or call out. All she could do was be there. She didn’t know how long she had been like this but it felt like forever, she kept trying to feel for something other then her own mind. Aiden tried to go to bed but only tossed and turned for an hour, he couldn’t sleep. Alys’s scent surrounded him in his bed and it only reminded him that she wasn’t there. Finally tossing the sheets aside in frustration he decided to get up. He got dressed in what ever he could grab, not caring what he put on, and walked out of his suite. He made his way down to the dining hall, there were a couple of pack members eating breakfast before they left for their early morning patrol, but it was otherwise empty. After Cody left, Alys found there was a small lamp on the end table, she turned it on and ate the soup and roll he had left before taking one of the pain pills for her head. She had no way to tell what time it was as the only window she could see had been completely boarded up and only a small sliver of light made it through, she didn’t feel like she had slept long so she thought Cody must have just brought her lunch. She looked around as best she could while attached to the bed post and could tell she was in some sort of rustic home or cabin. There were two doors to the room, the one that Cody used and has locked, and one to what she could only assume was either a closet or a bathroom. David and Clary stayed for another week after the ceremony. Being that they were True Mates, chosen for each other by the goddess, David was able to mark Clary tying their souls together. She would take on his longevity. She would never have a wolf but she would at least live as long as he does. Alys remembered reading that in the book she had gotten from Killian, Dr.Clarke asked to borrow it. It was hard for Alys to say goodbye to her mom. They had never been very far from each other. Aiden saw Alys start to get pale and knew it was time to bring her to the clearing for her first shift. The morning and afternoon flew by as they spent most of it greeting the arriving Alpha’s and making sure they found their rooms to get changed and settled before the festivities in the evening. Before she knew it Alys was in Sara’s suite along with Clary and Lilly getting ready together for the ceremony. Clary was dressed in a floor length midnight blue sheath gown with quarter length lace sleeves and a v-neckline. She did her hair in a simple French twist, she looked amazing. Lilly was in a very expensive cream pant suit, but the top went down to the floor and swept back revealing the soft flowing pants underneath. It was simple yet elegant. It was finally the morning of the ceremony. Alys couldn’t decide if she was more nervous for her first shift or the ceremony itself. She had never been one for the spotlight so the idea of speaking in front of so many people made butterflies turn in her stomach. Alys was having a great time at the spa. When they arrived they found out that Aiden had booked the entire building just for them. First they went in to a steam room to relax and then hot showers, followed by soothing full body massages, a sushi lunch catered by her favourite restaurant, and finally finished with full manicures and pedicures. The ladies all spent the day laughing and chatting. It was nice to be able to just relax. Alys had started worrying again about her upcoming shift which would happen after the ceremony, when the moon was at its highest. After the chaos of everything that happened to Alys and Aiden and the Blue Lake Pack. It felt like having the ceremony only a few weeks later was perfect timing. Everyone was getting excited, unmated wolves were hoping to meet their mates in the guests from other packs, the kitchen staff were kept busy with the preparations and the warriors were doing extra training to make sure security would be flawless. Aiden wasn’t taking any chances. As one of the biggest and more richer packs around they had invited a lot of people. Alphas and their Beta’s and mates would be coming and usually they would bring a couple warriors with them as well during travel. Alys took almost an hour to figure out what she wanted to wear. She didn’t want to give the wrong impression. She finally decided on a simple white blouse, black pants, flats, no jewellery except her necklace and ring from Aiden and her hair in a simple ponytail. The next couple days were pure bliss. Sara almost ambushed Alys the morning after the picnic, Jax had let slip he had picked up a ring for Aiden and she had been dying to see it, Killian was there to and he groaned as Sara gushed over the ring giving him pointed looks. After breakfast Aiden went with her to spend the morning at her moms. Aiden decided that this time he was going to take some more time from work and spend it with Alys. They ended up at a very expensive large boutique shop that sold all manner of dresses for every event out there. Again Alys wondered what a place like this was doing in a small city like Wakerton. Inside they were greeted pleasantly by a pretty young lady and Alys noticed for the first time she could smell someone, she could even tell that she was a wolf. The lady smiled broadly and welcomed them into the store and led them to an extravagant seating area with big comfy white couches surrounding a very modern glass coffee table and brought them all sparkling wine and glasses. The store was elegant it was all white and had big floor to ceiling sections of mirror perfectly placed for both lighting and decor. She brought Alys to the display room to go through a few styles and colours so she could pull some selections. Alys told her she wanted simple and elegant and if possible silver or soft purples.
