*sigh* Aiden did dishes so shmexy :)
The last two days went in much the same manner. Aiden and Alys would wake up and stay in bed for a bit, before getting ready to go to breakfast together. Alys liked to meet the pack members who ate in the dinning hall in the mornings, and slowly more and more were trickling in to meet her as well. After breakfast Aiden would either work in his office or he would have to go into the city to their main office, and Alys would go to her own office to continue her Luna studies. She had finally finished reading the files on the packs they had an alliance with and those they were on good terms with. Lilly would pop in throughout the day, making sure Alys was doing ok and to see if she had any questions. Alys started on their pack history this morning, she was amazed by how much there was to learn still, she felt like she would be reading for months. She looked at the time and saw she only had an hour until she met her mom for lunch. Today her mom was moving into one of the cottages in the v
Aiden got stuck at work a little later then usual, he had been getting ready to leave the office when he received a strange phone call. They were asking about buying Alys’s Cafe and kept him on the phone for a good half hour past when he had wanted to leave. In the end they changed their mind. The call was not sitting well with him. Why would they ask so many questions, just to change their minds. Oh well. He thought as he got in his Jeep to drive home. He was just happy he would be getting home to Alys soon. He wondered what delicious meal she had come up with for dinner tonight. He pulled out his phone sending her a text that he was on his way.He had only been driving for a few minutes when he got a link from Thomas.‘Alpha, I got a link from a warrior saying he had caught the scent of a rogue. I personally scouted the area he was patrolling, but scented nothing out of the ordinary.’ He reported. ‘Ok, double check the area again and make sure to check for visible signs as well. If
Aiden paced his office. Ever since realizing Alys’s letter was a fake, things were moving quickly and quietly, but it still didn’t feel fast enough. Aiden was feeling restless and his wolf wasn’t helping, he kept growling under his breath. They didn’t want anyone to know that they knew Alys was taken, since this was obviously an inside job and they didn’t want to lose the element of surprise. Thomas was sent out to see if he could find any other missing pack members. John was still missing, and Aiden was waiting for Brandi to show up to his office. Since she was supposed to be his girlfriend they had a good reason to question her. Jax was lounging on the couch across from his desk and Sara was out sniffing around the pack in her own way. She always kept up on the pack gossip and they often used it to keep the pack in check. More often then not, they could have a problem resolved before it ever became an actual problem. “Will you stop growling? You are giving me a headache. You will a
They picked the farthest meeting room from everything else, it was tucked in a back corner at the end of the hall on the second floor. It had a nice view of the woods out a large picture style window, a large round table in the center surrounded by comfortable office chairs, a counter across the one wall and a pull down screen they could hook a computer up to if they needed. Aiden linked Lizzy and asked her to have some refreshments brought up to them, it was getting late into the night and he hadn’t eaten dinner yet. He didn’t think anyone else had yet either. “So why am I here, all this fur ball told me was that a pack member was missing, that they may have used a masking potion and you needed my help?” Killian picked a chair and sat down leaning back, stretching his legs out, and clasping his hands behind his head. He raised his eyebrows and looked around curious. Aiden looked at Jax who simply shrugged. “What? I don’t trust texting sometimes. Figured we could tell him in person?
Alys was surrounded by darkness, she couldn’t move or call out. All she could do was be there. She didn’t know how long she had been like this but it felt like forever, she kept trying to feel for something other then her own mind. She kept trying to focus on Aiden hoping to somehow reach him, when she heard a soft whisper come from somewhere. ‘Be patient. I have a gift for you.’ Alys didn’t know who or what it was, but she huffed thinking that was easy for the voice to say, when she finally heard other voices. Focusing in on those voices with all her concentration, they started to get a bit clearer. “Ok, I’m getting out at the salon where I left my car. The directions to where you need to bring her are already set up on the GPS. Wait for the guy there!” Brandi’s voice rang out in a commanding tone. “Ok, ok, I heard you the first time.” A voice sounding much louder to Alys muttered back. Alys didn’t recognize it. “Good, once she is out of our hair things will be as they should
Aiden tried to go to bed but only tossed and turned for an hour, he couldn’t sleep. Alys’s scent surrounded him in his bed and it only reminded him that she wasn’t there. Finally tossing the sheets aside in frustration he decided to get up. He got dressed in what ever he could grab, not caring what he put on, and walked out of his suite. He made his way down to the dining hall, there were a couple of pack members eating breakfast before they left for their early morning patrol, but it was otherwise empty. He grabbed a cup of coffee from the coffee station nodding at the sleepy staff member who was checking on the food and coffee. He sat down in his chair and put his head in his hands. He didn’t know how long he was sitting there, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. “Here, I brought you a fresh cup of coffee. Is everything alright?” Brandi cooed at him, sounding worried. The feeling of her hand on his shoulder gave him the shivers and he shrugged it off and stood up. “Sorry, I just f
After Thomas led her into the room he closed the door and stood beside it, casually leaning against the wall. Aiden watched as her eyes darted around the room taking in each person there pausing at each one as if trying to read into their souls.“What is it that the alpha seeks?” Agatha asked, her head tipped to the side like a curious cat. Aiden sat down in the seat next to the one he pulled out for her and casually sat back. “To be honest, what I am looking for is information. Someone has taken something from me and I want it back. Are you able to help me with that?” Aiden decided in this case perhaps honesty was the best direction to start with, to an extent. “I am good at locating lost objects, but I feel as though this is more than a mere… object.” She grinned like the Cheshire Cat and her eyes lit with mischief. “It is something precious to you, oh yes, but I think it is a person.” She practically purred, why was Aiden getting the feeling she would turn into a cat right before
After Cody left, Alys found there was a small lamp on the end table, she turned it on and ate the soup and roll he had left before taking one of the pain pills for her head. She had no way to tell what time it was as the only window she could see had been completely boarded up and only a small sliver of light made it through, she didn’t feel like she had slept long so she thought Cody must have just brought her lunch. She looked around as best she could while attached to the bed post and could tell she was in some sort of rustic home or cabin. There were two doors to the room, the one that Cody used and has locked, and one to what she could only assume was either a closet or a bathroom. The only furniture in the room was the bed and two end tables and a small chest at the end of the bed. Cody came back after a while and asked her if she had to use the bathroom, when she nodded he took the cuff off the bed post then he led her to the other door. So she was right it was a bathroom.
