Alys walked into the suite and a smile lit up her face when she saw Aiden. He couldn’t help the big smile that spread across his own face on seeing her. Instead of getting in his Jeep he continued to walk down the street with her, hand in hand. The weather was perfect for this early spring evening, a gentle breeze wound its way through the city streets as the street lights were slowly turning on as the sun set in the distance. They walked for a couple blocks, lightly chatting together before entering another old looking building. It was a beautiful book store. It had a small coffee shop in the front corner and three floors of books on old wooden bookshelves that reached floor to ceiling, there were even little nooks and crannies that had comfortable chairs and side tables so people could sit and go through the books. It had used and new books, used books being on the top floor. “I know how much you like books and coffee so I thought you would like to come here. It used to be the old city library, but they converted it to a store. It’s a unique building with some great coffee.” Aiden told her, as they waited in line for their coffee.

Alys woke once again entwined with Aiden. Her head was tucked into the crook of his arm and she was sprawled across him, tucked cozily into the blankets. She inhaled deeply taking in his delicious cinnamon scent. “Mmmm.” Aiden moaned above her, then he kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her more tightly. “I love waking up wrapped in you, and your scent.” He murmured into her hair. “Me too.” Alys sighed happily nuzzling his side rubbing the tip of her nose against him. Shortly after she was changed and ready again. Thankfully Alys had bought a couple of blouses, figuring she would need them. She ran back downstairs and saw Lilly sitting on a bench just outside of the dining hall. “There we are, Sara told me you had a little run in with Brandi. Don’t worry about her. She’s a lovely girl but probably a bit sad that Aiden is taken now. She always did have a little crush on him.” Lilly smiled and stood up gesturing for Alys to follow her. The last two days went in much the same manner. Aiden and Alys would wake up and stay in bed for a bit, before getting ready to go to breakfast together. Alys liked to meet the pack members who ate in the dinning hall in the mornings, and slowly more and more were trickling in to meet her as well. They picked the farthest meeting room from everything else, it was tucked in a back corner at the end of the hall on the second floor. It had a nice view of the woods out a large picture style window, a large round table in the center surrounded by comfortable office chairs, a counter across the one wall and a pull down screen they could hook a computer up to if they needed. David and Clary stayed for another week after the ceremony. Being that they were True Mates, chosen for each other by the goddess, David was able to mark Clary tying their souls together. She would take on his longevity. She would never have a wolf but she would at least live as long as he does. Alys remembered reading that in the book she had gotten from Killian, Dr.Clarke asked to borrow it. It was hard for Alys to say goodbye to her mom. They had never been very far from each other. Aiden saw Alys start to get pale and knew it was time to bring her to the clearing for her first shift. He already had Thomas bring some blankets and a light t-shirt out to the clearing he picked for them to provide some comfort. The morning and afternoon flew by as they spent most of it greeting the arriving Alpha’s and making sure they found their rooms to get changed and settled before the festivities in the evening. Before she knew it Alys was in Sara’s suite along with Clary and Lilly getting ready together for the ceremony. Clary was dressed in a floor length midnight blue sheath gown with quarter length lace sleeves and a v-neckline. She did her hair in a simple French twist, she looked amazing. Lilly was in a very expensive cream pant suit, but the top went down to the floor and swept back revealing the soft flowing pants underneath. It was simple yet elegant. It was finally the morning of the ceremony. Alys couldn’t decide if she was more nervous for her first shift or the ceremony itself. She had never been one for the spotlight so the idea of speaking in front of so many people made butterflies turn in her stomach. Alys was having a great time at the spa. When they arrived they found out that Aiden had booked the entire building just for them. First they went in to a steam room to relax and then hot showers, followed by soothing full body massages, a sushi lunch catered by her favourite restaurant, and finally finished with full manicures and pedicures. The ladies all spent the day laughing and chatting. It was nice to be able to just relax. Alys had started worrying again about her upcoming shift which would happen after the ceremony, when the moon was at its highest. After the chaos of everything that happened to Alys and Aiden and the Blue Lake Pack. It felt like having the ceremony only a few weeks later was perfect timing. Everyone was getting excited, unmated wolves were hoping to meet their mates in the guests from other packs, the kitchen staff were kept busy with the preparations and the warriors were doing extra training to make sure security would be flawless. Aiden wasn’t taking any chances. As one of the biggest and more richer packs around they had invited a lot of people. Alys took almost an hour to figure out what she wanted to wear. She didn’t want to give the wrong impression. She finally decided on a simple white blouse, black pants, flats, no jewellery except her necklace and ring from Aiden and her hair in a simple ponytail. The next couple days were pure bliss. Sara almost ambushed Alys the morning after the picnic, Jax had let slip he had picked up a ring for Aiden and she had been dying to see it, Killian was there to and he groaned as Sara gushed over the ring giving him pointed looks. They ended up at a very expensive large boutique shop that sold all manner of dresses for every event out there. Again Alys wondered what a place like this was doing in a small city like Wakerton. Inside they were greeted pleasantly by a pretty young lady and Alys noticed for the first time she could smell someone, she could even tell that she was a wolf. The lady smiled broadly and welcomed them into the store and led them to an extravagant seating area with big comfy white couches surrounding a very modern glass coffee table and brought them all sparkling wine and glasses. The store was elegant it was all white and had big floor to ceiling sections of mirror perfectly placed for both lighting and decor.
