Chapter 126

AMANDA’s POV..

I looked up at the two men standing in front of me, trying to calm their rising tempers. Their eyes were locked in a stare-down that seemed like it could go on forever, and I knew that if I didn't intervene soon, things could get really ugly. My heart was racing as I stepped forward, placing a hand on each of their arms in an attempt to diffuse the tension.

My ex was seething with anger, his jaw tense as he glared at Jason. I could feel his body tensing up and I knew that he was on the verge of doing something rash. Meanwhile, Jason looked like he was trying to hold back his own emotions and not attack him right there, his eyes flickering back and forth between me and his rival.

I took a deep breath and tried to steady my voice, "Gentlemen, please." I squeezed their arms gently, trying to get them to listen to reason. "There's no need for violence. Let's all just take a step back and talk this out like adults."
