As the private investigator's car rolled down the street, the atmosphere inside the car was tense for no necessary reason as none of them has said a word after Ethan got into the car and they introduced themselves.

Ethan had gotten into the private investigator car and left his car back at the uncompleted building because of safety purposes or whatever the private investigator who had introduced himself as Jeff said.

Ethan didn't know what to say to break the ice and Jeff was waiting for the person who wanted to hire him to speak up but it seemed like that was too much to wish for because Ethan was sitting stiffly in the passenger's seat, his gaze fixed anywhere but on him. It was obvious that he was lost in his thoughts as Jeff stole some glances at him from time to time but the gentleman did not even notice all that was happening.
